We’re tested like never before, pushed to our limits.
In a world this brutal, even the strongest love can be shattered.
Marked for Life is book 2 in the Marked duet. It concludes the thrilling and dark AMBW mafia romance of Jin and Monroe. Please check out the content warning at the start of the book before reading. This book contains sensitive subject matter and is not suitable for readers under the age of 18.
Sienne has a thing for dark and brooding alphas and the diverse women who love them. She enjoys writing stories where lines are blurred and the romance is dark and delicious. In her spare time, she unwinds with a nice glass of wine and Netflix binge.

Strong 4 stars, maybe 4.5 stars as MARKED FOR LIFE is a really good conclusion to Monroe & Jin's love story duo. It is an angsty, heartfelt book and I don't want to give away anything but these two, but particularly Jin, still have an uphill battle on their way to their deserved HEA. Their romance remains full of passion + drama. True soulmates!
I enjoyed getting to revisit Monroe and Jin. There were more layers to their relationship that we get to see them experience, endure/survive with relatable concerns that made you want to root for them. I did enjoy a more completed storyline with twists that were better cleared up, “loose ends tied up,” by the end of the story than what we sometime see with this author. We get most of our questions answered. Good battle and steamy scenes to keep us on edge. Good to see how Jin performs as the boss along with his life whoas and how Monroe’s “boring” teacher life get some action stirred from her end.
However, there were still parts of the story that didn’t make sense and still didn’t feel real about their relationship for a regular suburban teacher and this hardened, deadly Korean gang lord. They were unrealistically domesticated and “living their best life” in ways that didn’t seem normal for this gang lord. No one else coming after his family?!?! I would have also loved to have seen a better epilogue with the book itself. Super annoying that authors will do this to keep you on mailing lists, even worse requiring joining her group on social media…esp when social media is not your thing.
Marked for Life is the action filled conclusion of Monroe & Jin’s story. I love that this book catches us up with a great couple and also takes us on a journey of their lives after the engagement and all the trials and tribulations of being a couple as well as dealing with ghosts from Jin’s past. The story does not disappoint and it has so much plot, so much action and suspense while the whole mystery is unraveling as well as a wonderful love story. This book is a definite must read and I enjoyed it!
The story follows a relationship forged in chaos, where love is not gentle or safe, but built through pain, survival, and emotional conflict. The bond between the characters is complicated, at times gripping, at times disturbing, and it keeps you questioning whether what they share is truly love or something much darker. The tension throughout the story is strong, making it difficult to put down.
I loved the followup to Monroe's and Jin's story. I felt the struggles, heartbreaks and the unknown danger that awaited them. Monroe's fierceness still shines in this book as she fights for their love. Thank you for a great ending!!!!
I loved booked 1 but book 2 was fire! Munroe's mother made me laugh 😃 and I cannot tell you the fight scenes were so descriptive, reading them felt I was watching a movie. Both books were excellent. Sienne Vega always delivers.
What a great end to this duet, loved how the author streamline the story to bring Jin closure regarding his parents death... This duet is a must read as well as the epilogue
