Blossom Peak #4

It's About Time

Rate this book
Pretending to be engaged to my enemy might not be my brightest idea.

But it is definitely necessary.

On the brink of the biggest car show of my career, I start to panic because it’s the first time I have to see my ex since our break-up.

Spoiler alert: it wasn’t clean or amicable.

Then when Elliot Thorne’s ex-fiancé shows back up in town, I devise a plan for both of us to get what we want: a buffer from our exes with a dash of revenge.

The problem is Elliot takes his role to protect me too seriously.

He brings me food while I’m working to make sure I eat. He even silences the self-doubt I feel on a day-to-day basis.

And before I know it, he has me on my knees in my garage, and on my back on the hood of my car.

The hate I’ve harbored toward him melts away as fast as my panties, and I soon realize we have more in common than I thought.

Then he tells me a secret that makes me reevaluate our entire relationship.

Now I’m left to consider if something fake could be real…

And that maybe it’s about time I admit that Elliot isn’t my enemy after all.

** Will BEST be enjoyed having read the first 3 books in the series**

ARC Review 📖

I flew through this book with the biggest smile on my face.

I don’t think I could have asked for a better story for Elliot and Dilynne. I’d been waiting for their book since they first appeared, and it was worth every bit of the anticipation.

Their banter was sharp, their chemistry was impossible to ignore, and I loved how every sarcastic exchange hid feelings that had been buried for far too long. Fake engagement is already one of my favorite tropes, and this one reminded me exactly why.

What really made this story special was the emotional journey. Elliot’s heartbreak and gradual healing felt genuine, while watching Dilynne slowly let someone see beyond her tough exterior completely stole my heart. She was fierce, funny, and endlessly determined, and Elliot’s protective, thoughtful side made him impossible not to love. They challenged each other, supported each other, and slowly became exactly what the other needed. Their romance felt earned every step of the way.

Being back with this friend group made the story even more special because the found family element added so much heart. I laughed, swooned, and got surprisingly emotional along the way.

Saying goodbye to Blossom Peak is bittersweet, but this ending couldn’t have felt more right.

ALC Review (Audiobook) 🎧

I already loved Elliot and Dilynne’s story, but listening to it elevated the entire experience. James Cassidy and Mollie Stark made every sarcastic exchange, emotional conversation, and quietly vulnerable moment feel completely authentic. James captured Elliot’s guarded heart, dry humor, and filthy mouth perfectly, while Mollie brought so much personality, warmth, and confidence to Dilynne that she felt effortlessly real. Their duet narration gave every scene an extra layer of chemistry, making the slow burn, fake engagement, heartfelt healing, and laugh-out-loud banter feel even more cinematic. I genuinely found myself looking for excuses to keep listening, and by the end I wasn’t ready to leave these characters behind.

~~~~
I was lucky enough to receive both an ARC and an ALC, and being able to immersive read and listen to this story made the whole experience even more special.
~~~~

Huge thank you to Harlow James and The Smuthood for the ARC! 😍 All my bookish thoughts are completely my own. ✨

ARC/ALC REVIEW

Raise your hand if you had Elliott ❤️ Dilynne on your bingo card from day one book one!

🙋‍♀️me🙋‍♀️me🙋‍♀️me🙋‍♀️!!

Also, THIS.TITLE! amirite?! LOL Sweet destiny if you ask me!

And what a beautiful journey Harlow wrote for these two! When you close out a series of a group of friends with the last two friends, who under no circumstances should work on any level, and make it one of the most emotionally satisfying growth experiences, you just might be a fucking great author. Harlow James! You slayed me in the best possible way, and I love you for every single minute I spent inside this story!

Dilynne and Elliot's story was fueled by the best slow-burn friendship-to-more that I have read in a while. Yes, their friendship was more animosity than anything else for a really long time, but they had a base to work from and that’s what made their relationship growth feel very authentic and real. They also both became better versions of themselves because of their relationship and that just made my heart want to burst. There was never a point in this story that I felt was lacking in growth in one way or another. It was uplifting and natural and just one giant *happy sigh*! Don’t be thinking this is one of those sunshine and gumdrops kinda of story because it is far from that. I cried a lot but most of the time it was because I felt the story deeply. I felt the circumstance’s highs and lows deeply. And isn’t that real-life? I like realistic fiction and this story is one of the best I’ve read/listened to in a good long while.

That brings me to the audio portion of my thoughts. Truthfully, I did more of a listen than reading because once Mollie Stark & James Cassidy started performing Dilynne and Elliot there was no looking back for me. I have yet to meet a performance by Mollie that I have not genuinely enjoyed and be sucked in by. She truly made Dilynne shine in every possible way and together with James as Elliott, I had zero chance against them! LOL James Cassidy is fairly new-to-me, but I’m about to stalk the heck out of him! Mollie & James were dynamic together and truly made this story come alive for me!

I had doubts I was going to like Dillynne and Elliot’s book, but I did like it. (Possible spoilers ahead)

I was not a fan of Dilly in the other books but I did like her in this book. Her job in a male dominated business was fascinating. Love to see it (she’s a mechanic)

This book starts on the day Elliott is getting married to OW, but then OW ditches him for her boss. Then it starts quickly fast forwarding through a whole year. We see how Dilly has supported and helped Elliot through his heartbreak even though these two “hated” each other.

Then they agree to be fake engaged because Elliot’s crap dad hired OW to work with them. He wants Elliot to marry her. 😱 ) I KNEW dad was up to something shady asf. Dilly also has an ex that she’ll have to deal with at a car show so having a fiancé will be a good buffer.

Everything that happens is predictable. Elliot and Dilly start to develop real feelings for each other. The sexual tension is strong. The banter is good. Dilly is NOT a doormat.
And wow! Elliot has a filthy mouth. 😜 I didn’t not see that coming from Elliot. He also has dixk jewelry.

I loved how Dilly’s brother would start to interfere and Dilly would shut him down fast. She would tell her brother that she is an adult and she’s allowed to make her own choices. Yesss! Authors need to quit writing brothers who are all creepy about their sister’s sex life. I remember in book 1, the brother of that heroine actually beat the hero up and he didn’t talk with the MCs for a few weeks. I’m so glad the author didn’t do that in this book.

Naturally, we do find out Dilly did like Elliot in high school. She overheard him talking about her to his friend- and that is how the “hate” started in their relationship. 🥴

I’d say everything wraps up nicely. It seems the whole bro’s club and their women are all now pregnant. I was glad to see Dilly and Elliot both decided not to have kids.

Elliot and Dilynne started as enemies and then ended up in a fake engagement when both of their toxic cheating exes came back into their lives.

Dilynne, what a queen. She was a mechanic, and I love a woman in a male dominated field. She dealt with people talking about her because of her career, and it did affect her, but she was tough and didn’t let it show.

Elliot was a grumpy lawyer, and her brother’s best friend. He was a mess, but Dilynne was there for him through everything (despite hating him).

I loved these two. And I loved seeing them slowly go from enemies to lovers. Elliot may have been a grump and Dilynne may have been sassy, but they both had vulnerabilities. And when Dilynne let her guard down, Elliot was sweet to her. And he helped her just as much as she helped him.

This is the last book in the series and it can be read as a standalone. I’m sad to say goodbye to these characters, but I can’t wait to see what’s next.

The way I flew through this book!! loved this audio!! Mollie Stark & James Cassidy did an amazing job portraying these two characters!!! I think this is my favorite of the series.

Dilynne & Elliot were the perfect enemies to lovers story! She is the sassy FMC & he is the dirty mouth MMC we all needed 🤭 I love how much he showered up for her!! The banter, the humor, the absolute chemistry between these two! I was here for it all!! Faking dating/engagement is always a favorite trope of mine, & I love how they both benefitted from this one. Watching their relationship transform and grow was just so heartwarming & swoony!!

What a perfect story of what you need being right in front of you!! Growth from pain & heartbreak turned to one absolutely beautiful story!! Plus, the spice in this one is we so worth it!! I loved getting to see the other couples from this series and the friend group they all have! truly just such an amazing series!

Elliot and Dilynne’s story in the fourth Blossom Peak book is a fun mix of tension, humor, and real chemistry. They start out as enemies, only to tumble into a fake engagement when their toxic, cheating exes resurface. Dilynne’s passion for restoring classic cars gives her a grounded, capable vibe, and Elliot’s grumpy‑lawyer energy pairs perfectly with her sass. He’s her brother’s best friend, he’s got the dirty mouth, and together they spark in every scene.

The banter is sharp, the humor is laugh out loud funny, and the chemistry feels effortless. Molly Stark and James Cassidy bring great energy to the duet narration, making the dynamic between them even more engaging. A solid addition to the series and a genuinely fun romance.

After loving the first three books in Harlow James' Blossom Peak series, I had been eagerly anticipating Elliot and Dilynne's book. Since Elliot's failed wedding set so much of the series in motion back in book one, it felt especially fitting that It's About Time would be the story to bring everything full circle.

Tropes
💍 Fake engagement
💥 Enemies to lovers
👬 Brother's best friend
🏡 Forced proximity
⚖️ Lawyer × mechanic
🫶 He falls first
🛋️ Therapy representation
😂 Banter
🤍 Close-knit friend group
🐌 Slow burn
🌲 Small town

From the very beginning, Elliot and Dilynne had one of those dynamics that immediately stood out. Their constant bickering, sharp comebacks, and undeniable chemistry made it impossible not to look forward to their book. What starts as a fake engagement for mutual benefit slowly evolves into something much deeper, and it quickly becomes clear that their feelings had been brewing for far longer than either of them wanted to admit. Learning that Elliot had quietly been carrying feelings for Dilynne for years made so many of their interactions throughout the series make perfect sense. Their banter remained one of my favourite parts of the story, but it was the quieter, more vulnerable moments between them that really stole my heart.

The flashbacks added another layer to their relationship and never felt like they interrupted the story. Instead, they filled in the gaps, showing how their opinions of one another gradually shifted over the years. One thing I especially loved was seeing Dilynne continually show up for Elliot during some of the hardest moments of his life. No matter how often she claimed she couldn't stand him, her actions always told a completely different story.

Their individual character arcs were just as satisfying. Elliot's journey after being left at the altar felt honest and believable, and I loved seeing him slowly regain his confidence with Dilynne quietly cheering him on every step of the way. Dilynne, meanwhile, completely exceeded my expectations. She worked tirelessly to prove herself as a mechanic in a male-dominated field without ever compromising who she was. I especially appreciated that she wasn't written as the stereotypical romance heroine. She was happiest covered in grease, fixing engines, and getting her hands dirty, yet she also allowed herself to be vulnerable when it truly mattered. That balance made her feel refreshingly real.

I also loved how naturally they complemented one another. Elliot couldn't tell you the first thing about fixing a car, while Dilynne could practically rebuild one from scratch, and I adored that reversal of traditional roles. Their strengths and weaknesses fit together so effortlessly that their relationship always felt balanced and believable. Even better, the story never relied on endless misunderstandings or unnecessary drama to keep them apart. Instead, the slow transition from enemies, to reluctant allies, to friends, and finally to lovers felt completely earned. The spice fit naturally into their relationship without ever overshadowing the emotional connection they'd built first.

The humour deserves its own mention because this book genuinely had me laughing out loud more than once. Between the completely inappropriate conversations around a toddler, the creative insults, and the messages written on cakes and cookies, there were so many funny moments. Those lighter scenes balanced the emotional moments perfectly.

I also appreciated how Harlow James wrapped up the series as a whole. Watching certain characters finally face the consequences of their actions was incredibly satisfying, and while Elliot and Dilynne got the happy ending they deserved, the ending itself felt grounded rather than overly perfect. Getting some glimpse of all four couples together was the perfect way to say goodbye to this wonderful group of friends.

One of my favorite quotes in the book was the advice Elliot remembered from his late grandfather. Throughout the story, it's clear how much he admired the love his grandparents shared, and this quote perfectly captures the kind of relationship he wanted for himself:

"Because when you love someone, you should never stop reminding them that they're the most important part of your life. Sometimes that's through gifts, sometimes it's noticing the details that other people miss. Love is something none of us should ever take for granted, and when you find someone who makes you a better person, you do everything in your power to make sure they know how much they've changed your life."

Overall, It's About Time was a fantastic conclusion to the Blossom Peak series and, unexpectedly, one of my favourite books of the four. Saying goodbye to this friend group is definitely bittersweet, but I couldn't have asked for a better ending. I'm already looking forward to seeing what Harlow James writes next and I'm especially excited to see more of Lennon and her sisters in her upcoming series.

"Your soul woke mine up"

This is about seeing and accepting people for who they really are, confronting old pain, and finally acknowledging real feelings.

Dilynne is a thirty‑something mechanic whose passion for restoring classic cars runs deep. Growing up with addict parents and in foster care taught her to build a thick skin, but beneath the sharp wit and quick comebacks is a tender heart that fiercely protects those she loves.

Elliot is a successful lawyer shaped by a complicated family. His father failed him, but his grandfather showed him what love and honor look like. After his latest breakup, he’s jaded and closed off. That is until Dilynne, his best friend’s little sister and the woman who’s considered him her enemy since high school, becomes the one to pull him out of the dark.

Through her consistency, their reluctant friendship, and a fake engagement that turns unexpectedly real, feelings get messy. Both must face the reasons behind their long‑held resentment and decide if love is worth the risk.

Elliot deals with family secrets, while Dilynne prepares for the biggest event of her career and braces for an encounter with her own ex. After years of avoidance and sharp words, they finally see each other clearly and realize their hate may have been something else all along.

The pacing is medium to fast, with dual timelines and a slow burn that transitions naturally from fake to real. While reading previous books isn’t required, the introduction throws a lot of names at you, which can feel overwhelming if you’re new to Blossom Peak. Since each book seems to unfold during the same general timeframe and builds the friend group dynamics, beginning with book one will likely give you the best emotional payoff!

The duet audiobook narration was a highlight. James Cassidy brought Elliot to life with every hitch, stammer, and shift in tone. His ability to differentiate voices, both young and old, was impressive. Mollie Stark’s steady performance captured Dilynne’s snark and rasp perfectly, though her range between female characters was less distinct.

Listen to this when you want tension, sharp banter, and the slow melt of not quite enemies to lovers. When you want to see old wounds heal and strong found family bonds form.

Thank you Smuthood and Harlow James for this ALC

It’s About Time is the final book in the Blossom Peak series, and it follows Dilynne and Elliot. I have been waiting for their story, and Harlow absolutely delivered!

The banter between these two was top-tier, making this one of my favorite enemies-to-lovers romances. Their chemistry was undeniable, and the tension had me hooked from beginning to end.

I absolutely loved Dilynne. She was sassy, confident, and completely owned her place in a male-dominated mechanic world. Watching her prove herself while never backing down made me love her even more. And Elliot? Whew…that man had the filthiest mouth in the best way! But beyond that, I loved how fiercely he supported Dilynne. Whether it was showing off her car, bragging about her talent, or cheering her on at the car show, he was always her biggest hype man. He saw how incredible she was and made sure everyone else knew it too. He was exactly the kind of man Dilynne deserved.

I’m always a sucker for a fake dating (or fake engagement) trope, and this book reminded me exactly why. Watching these two pretend while slowly falling for each other was so much fun, and every moment had me smiling.

The audiobook was incredible. Molly Stark and James Cassidy delivered phenomenal performances. They brought so much emotion, humor, and chemistry to these characters that it felt like I was right there with them. Their narration elevated an already amazing story, and I truly can’t imagine anyone else voicing Dilynne and Elliot.

This was the perfect conclusion to the Blossom Peak series, and I’m so sad to say goodbye to these characters.

Thank you Harlow ans The Author Agency for the ALC!

Just like the title, ‘It’s About Time,’ we have Elliot’s story! He caught my attention; the poor guy had some challenges and was going through them during the series. Harlow James has an ability in her writing that allows the reader to become emotionally invested in every character. At the end of the previous book, A Test of Time, though it was Rhonan and Vienna’s story, Harlow was also building on Elliot’s and Dilynne’s. But she did this so cleverly. It wasn’t a distraction. It was quite smooth. It led seamlessly to the next book.

It’s About Time is by far my favorite of the series. I love a fake relationship. What Harlow does, though, with the story, is add not just an enemies-to-lovers. They can’t stand each other, and it goes back to their high school days. They are also complete opposites. There’s a forbidden factor here, though. Elliot is Dilynne’s brother’s best friend. I love that even more! But what sealed the deal for me was that the fake relationship in this story benefited both of them. Dilynne needed someone as much as Elliot did with her ex. Who am I kidding? The dialogue, banter, comedic timing, and all that spice were top-tier too!

I’ve heard the audiobook is also amazing, narrated in DUET by narrated in 𝗗𝗨𝗘𝗧 by @jamescassidyromance and @molliestarknarrates I can only imagine what it will be like listening to all those scenes come to life.

It's About Time

Eeeeee! I've been waiting for this couple through 3 other books. Its been so hard! But they're here and it was more surprising and supportive than I expected!

This book is running from I believe the end of book 1. So a few things happen (from different POVs) that have already happened in books 2-3. But it doesn't get repetitive or boring.

Elliot and Dilynne are enemies. These two bicker like no other. Constantly sniping at each other anytime they're together, theres not a nice word spoken between them.

Until Dilynne gets the opportunity to showcase her restoring skills, with her ex around. The one that now drives her crazier than Elliot. And Elliot, who was dumped at the altar, has HIS ex back in his life as well.

Dilynne has the great idea, one that will hopefully shut her ex up and keep Elliots ex away... tell everyone they're together and engaged. How hard can it be? Its not like the whole town know how much they can't stand each other. And also that Elliotts best friend is Dilynnes brother. That's not gonna matter at all...

The hijinks these two get into. They're the funniest ones in their friend group. Ergo, this one is the funniest book.

Elliot has some reservations about Dilynne's plan. And Dilynne? She surprises us so much in the book. Can't spoil it, but she's such a good person. Besides being a badass mechanic.

The way these two knuckleheads stand up for each other? And the explosiveness they create together? Whewwwwww!

Another excellent story in the Blossom Peak series — one I’d been highly anticipating and which didn’t disappoint!

This enemies to lovers story was as heartfelt and emotional, as it was funny and smart. I enjoyed every second of it!

🎧Narration by James Cassidy and Mollie Stark was out of this world — they captured Elliot and Dilynne perfectly at every turn and I zipped through this audiobook in just over a day. Loved.

Thanks so much to Harlow for this ALC!

"Because when you love someone, you should never stop reminding them that they're the most important part of your life. Love is something none of us should ever take for granted, and when you find someone who makes you a better person, you do everything in your power to make sure they know how much they've changed your life”

And just like that this series has come to an end… Something I honestly still can’t wrap my head around, because Blossom Peak basically felt like a home to me. I fell in love with this group of friends and little town and I just don’t want to say goodbye.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. It might not have been the brightest idea, but when you’re out of options you gotta do what you gotta do, so a fake engagement to your enemy it is!
When they have to face their exes Dilynne and Elliot find themselves agreeing - for once, shockingly - and come up with a pact. They pretend to be engaged so that Elliot his ex will leave him alone and Dilynne feels comfortable enough to face her ex for the first time since their breakup at the biggest car show of her career. The dash of revenge mixed in is just a bonus.
However, the pretending thing gets a little too serious and soon they find the lines blurred. Secrets about the past get revealed, but honestly? It’s about damn time that Elliot and Dilynne are getting honest with themselves and open their eyes to what has been happening in front of them all this time. Because why does something that is supposed to be fake feel so damn real?

In case you were wondering, no I’m not okay. I honestly can’t believe the Blossom Peak series has officially ended… These characters have grown so dear to me. Such a healthy group of friends, a found family to the fullest and supportive through everything, even if they don’t always see eye to eye. I think I can safely say that this series is one of my favourites, one I will recommend to everyone and I will for sure reread some day, because I seriously can’t say goodbye to them and this small town.
Elliot and Dilynne have proven that although love has broken them before, it is still possible to open up again. Both had so much love to give, love loudly and proudly not only through words, but also through acts of service. Because what are some empty words if you don't back them up with actions? The tension and banter between these two has been present since the start of this series and also in this book it was on fire, but to finally feel and see that dynamic shift was just incredible. Two people who hated each other's guts, have tried to push the other away numerous times, but still stood there for each other. I do have to say that in the beginning of the book I was a bit struggling, mainly because of the timeline. The previous books went further where we left off, this one takes a little throwback to the past, and I do think it worked for this story, however it took some getting used to on my side. It was also so refreshing to see a woman in the automotive industry. But also a woman who is not portrayed as overly masculine, has her insecurities and vulnerabilities, but not because of her abilities. Because she is damn proud and confident in them, as she should. If Blossom Peak showed me something as well is that Harlow is not afraid to write about more vulnerable men. Men that have their own mental struggles due to the past they endured, men that are not afraid to support their friends and TALK about these matters, men that (eventually) embrace therapy, including Elliot. I think that this is another reason why I love this series so much. Mental health rep, especially those of males, isn't always talked about enough on a daily basis, and to see such a natural healthy dynamic between four males through a whole series? I can only say that I applaud that.

It’s about time is a heartwarming story of two broken people who swore off love finding themselves again with help of the other, two people who love so loudly but never found the right person to give it to, two people who show that action speaks louder than words. The Blossom peak series screams found family and even though the books are interconnected standalones, I would highly recommend to read the other three books in this series before you read this one to be able to enjoy this series and the dynamic shift of these two to the fullest potential.

Every time I go back to Blossom Peak, it feels like catching up with people I’ve genuinely missed. This series has become such a comfort for me, and somehow Harlow James keeps making me fall even harder for these characters. I wasn't expecting this one to become my favorite in the series... but here we are.

I’m a sucker for a brother’s best friend/best friend’s little sister romance, and this one absolutely delivered. Elliot and Dilynne have years of history between them, but it’s the kind that comes with hurt, bad timing, and a whole lot left unsaid. Watching them slowly choose each other after everything they'd been through had me completely invested.

Elliot completely surprised me. As an attorney, he's polished, responsible, and pretty straight-laced on the surface. Underneath all of that, though, is a man who's been carrying so much pain that he forgot what it felt like to actually live instead of just exist. My heart broke for him more than once. Then the bedroom door closed... and let's just say that polished attorney has a filthy mouth that had me blushing and grinning at the same time. The contrast? Absolutely delicious.

And Dilynne? I adored her. She’s a mechanic who restores classic cars, she’s incredibly talented, and she refuses to let anyone make her feel like she doesn’t belong in a field that’s still seen as “a man’s job.” She’s confident without being arrogant, strong without losing her softness, and exactly the kind of heroine I love rooting for.

The fake engagement had me giggling one minute and kicking my feet the next. The chemistry between these two was so much fun because it wasn’t just about the attraction. It was about finally seeing each other for who they really were instead of who they thought the other person was. Their happy ending felt earned, and that’s what made it so satisfying.

Now let’s talk audiobook because James Cassidy and Mollie Stark absolutely brought these characters to life. James Cassidy and Mollie Stark didn't just narrate this story... they made me feel every second of it. Elliot's heartbreak, Dilynne's quiet strength, the hesitation when they were both terrified of getting hurt again, the laughter, the longing... and then the spice. Every emotion landed exactly the way it was supposed to.

If you’ve been thinking about starting the Blossom Peak series, consider this your sign. Could you read this one by itself? Sure. But you’ll appreciate every familiar face, every inside joke, and every emotional payoff so much more if you start from book one.

Read it. Listen to it. Come scream with me afterward. 💜

“Before I realized that being there for you in this way is far more important, and obviously it's the only way I can get you to see whatever is happening between us isn't fake. So that's what I'm going to do.”

Dilynne and Elliot have never really liked each other, but when both of their exes come back into their lives, they pretend to be engaged. Dilynne needs a buffer now that her ex is back in town, and Elliot also has his own reasons to go along with the plan after his failed engagement. What starts as a fake relationship soon turns into something more.

I loved the way Dilynne and Elliot's relationship developed throughout the book. From the moment they were introduced in this series, I loved their dynamic and couldn't wait to get to their book. They started pretending to be engaged because they both needed something from each other, but you could tell their feelings had been there for much longer. I loved finding out that Elliot had feelings for Dilynne when they were younger but never acted on them. Their banter was just as funny as in the previous books, and I loved that they were both so sassy and dirty-mouthed. They had so many sweet, emotional moments, and I was so happy when they finally stopped fighting their feelings for each other. They were just perfect together!

I also enjoyed both of their character development throughout the book. It was so nice to see Elliot getting back on track after being left at the altar, and I loved that Dilynne never gave up on him. She was always there for him, checking on him and supporting him until he finally started feeling like himself again. I also loved how fiercely independent and determined Dilynne was. She worked so hard to prove herself in a male-dominated industry, and I admired her a lot. I was also surprised by Dilynne's brother's reaction when they finally got together. I was expecting him to lash out at Elliot, so I was happy to see how supportive he was instead.

Overall, I’ve had a great time reading this book and the series in general, and I can't believe it's already over. I loved every couple and all of these characters, and I think this was the perfect way to conclude the series. I can't wait to see what Harlow James writes next!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | It’s About Time (Blossom Peak #4) by Harlow James

Audiobook Narrated by: James Cassidy & Mollie Stark
Format: Audiobook (ALC)
Thank you to The Author Agency for providing me with an advanced listening copy. All thoughts are my own.

Harlow James has officially become an auto-read author for me.

This is the fourth book in the Blossom Peak series, and somehow each book just keeps getting better. If you’re a fan of emotional, suspenseful small-town romances with incredible chemistry and unforgettable characters, Harlow James absolutely delivers every single time.

I was so excited to finally get Elliot’s story, and it did not disappoint. Elliot and Dylan have one of my favorite dynamics in the entire series. Their enemies-to-lovers journey is packed with sharp banter, constant teasing, and the kind of chemistry that has you grinning from chapter one.

When Elliot is left at the altar and Dylan is forced to face her own painful past, these two reluctantly come together in a fake engagement that quickly becomes so much more. Dylan understands heartbreak better than anyone, and despite convincing herself she can’t stand Elliot, her caring heart shines through. Watching their walls slowly come down as they fought their feelings was one of my favorite parts of the book.

The pacing was fantastic. I was completely invested from beginning to end and never found myself wanting to put it down. The romance develops naturally, making every emotional moment and every confession feel earned. The fake relationship trope, enemies-to-lovers tension, and just a touch of miscommunication all blended together perfectly without ever feeling frustrating.

And the banter? Absolutely top tier. Elliot and Dylan constantly throw witty jabs at each other, but underneath all that sarcasm is so much respect, loyalty, and undeniable attraction. Their relationship unfolds beautifully, and I loved every second of watching them realize that maybe the person they’ve been fighting is exactly the person they’ve needed all along.

The supporting cast continues to make Blossom Peak feel like home. Every return to this town feels like catching up with old friends, and that’s one of the things I love most about this series.

James Cassidy and Mollie Stark were fantastic narrators. They captured Elliot and Dylan’s personalities perfectly, bringing every sarcastic exchange, emotional moment, and romantic scene to life. Their performances added so much depth to an already wonderful story.

Harlow James’ writing is effortless to read. It’s engaging, emotionally mature, easy to follow, and balances humor, romance, and heart so well. Every time I finish one of her books, I’m immediately ready for the next.

This series has completely won me over, and I honestly can’t wait to see what Harlow James writes next.

When a book has you tearing up during the prologue, you already know you’re in for an emotional ride. IT’S ABOUT TIME grabbed me from the very beginning and did not let go until the very last page. This was heartbreaking, romantic, emotional, and so beautifully done.

Elliott Thorne and Dilynne Clarke’s story completely pulled me in. Their enemies-to-lovers tension, fake engagement, small-town setting, and all the messy feelings between them made this such an addictive read. I loved watching the hate and hurt between them slowly turn into something real, especially as Elliott started showing up for Dilynne in the sweetest ways. The way he cared for her, protected her, and helped quiet her self-doubt had me absolutely melting.

This is book four in the series, but it can be read as a standalone. That being said, I loved this one so much that I already downloaded book one because I need more of this world and these characters.

As usual, I read the ARC while listening to the ALC, and James Cassidy and Mollie Stark truly brought their A-game. Their duet narration brought Elliott and Dilynne to life so perfectly. They made the emotions, chemistry, banter, and heartbreak feel so real, and I loved every second of it.

IT’S ABOUT TIME is an enthralling enemies-to-lovers small-town romance that keeps your attention the entire time. If you love fake engagement, emotional romance, tension, second chances, revenge against exes, and characters who slowly realize the person they thought was their enemy might actually be exactly who they need, add this one to your TBR.

Thank you so much to @harlowjamesauthor for the ARC/ALC copy! 💕

It’s About Time is an enemies to lovers, opposites attract, best friends sister, relationship of convenience romance. Elliot’s fiancé left him at the alter and ran off with her boss leaving Elliot completely heartbroken. While drowning himself in alcohol and spiraling through depression, the one person he didn’t expect to come to his aid is his best friend’s sister Dylan. They have known each other for years and have been enemies since high school, but Dylan knows the pain of a bad breakup and can’t stand to see anyone struggle like she did. So she relentlessly shows up for Elliot, checking up on him, bringing him food, and constantly bullying him to lay off the alcohol! When there comes a time where both of their exes come back into their lives, they decide on a fake engagement to show everyone they’ve moved on from their toxic relationships and have found true love. But they are both shocked when their fake relationship becomes all too real ❤️

I absolutely loved the banter in the book! Dylan is a snarky tomboy who owns her own mechanic shop and Elliot is a smart ass lawyer who works at his dad’s law firm. They are so opposite, but I loved how they found each other perfect as they are. Being in their fake relationship made them have to spend more time together and get to know each other on a different level, and what they discovered was the loving supportive relationship they both needed! I also loved their friend group and the way their friendships were so honest and real!

The audiobook was narrated by James Cassidy and Mollie Stark, and both did an amazing job bringing the personalities of their characters out in their performances. James Cassidy was so good with the spicy scenes that he even had me blushing a few times 🫣🤣 I thoroughly enjoyed this book and definitely recommend a listen ❤️

Thank you Smuthood and Harlow James for the advanced listening copy and advanced reading copy of It’s about time.

The audiobook was a duet narration, which I love, and the actors were so engaging. 5/5 on the audiobook.

Elliott and Dilynne are so funny. I love their banter and the tension between these two! The friend group with its different layers is so interesting and really makes the found family trope. Elliott is a green flag with a filthy mouth and I couldn’t love him more!

“The feminism leaves my body as he sets me down and I instantly obey him. Something about the way he’s bossing me around makes me want to abide, and that’s a first for me.”

I also really loved his relationship with his grandfather and the lessons he taught him.

“Because when you love someone, you should never stop reminding them that they’re the most important part of your life. Sometimes that’s through gifts, sometimes it’s noticing the details that other people miss. Love is something none of us should ever take for granted, and when you find someone who makes you a better person, you do everything in your power to make sure they know how much they’ve changed your life.”

If you enjoy the fake dating trope, this one was done to perfection. Small town, brothers best friend, slow burn, “enemies” to lovers.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | ALC Review 🎧

Just when I think I've found my favorite Harlow James book, she releases another one that completely steals my heart!

It's About Time, the fourth book in the Blossom Peak series, had me hooked from the very first chapter.
After a heartbreaking breakup leaves Elliot picking up the pieces, the last person he expects to help him move forward is his longtime enemy, Dilynne.

✨ Tropes:
💍 Fake engagement
🏡 Small town romance
❤️ Enemies to lovers
🔧 Mechanic FMC

Elliot and Dilynne's chemistry was absolutely unmatched. Their banter had me laughing, their emotional moments had me swooning, and yes...the spice was definitely spicing (the hood of the car... IYKYK 🥵🔥).

The audiobook made this story even better. James Cassidy and Mollie Clark delivered incredible performances that made me feel like I was right there with the characters every step of the way.

I loved this book so much and can't wait to add a physical copy to my shelves when it releases on July 10!

Thank you to Harlow James and The Smuthood for the ALC. 🎧💙

I have been anxiously awaiting Dilynne and Elliot's story and this absolutely did not disappoint. What a great ending to this series. These two have always bantered and argued back and forth. But when Elliot's ex-fiance leaves him at the altar, it's Dilynne who is always there to make sure he's okay. When the ex shows back up in town, Dilynne makes a plan to help them both with their exes by pretending they are engaged.

Dilynn is passionate, sassy, and super independent. I love how she isn't afraid to speak her mind and doesn't take anyone's crap. Elliot seems like a grumpy lawyer, but underneath that exterior is a loyal, protective man. I loved the relationship between the two of them. Seeing them go from frenemies, to friends, to more was such a beautiful story. I loved seeing it all unfold and see them learn to trust each other. And when Elliot was all in with her my heart turned to mush. I loved how he was always there to let her shine esp with her being in a male dominated field. On top of that, they challenged each other in the best ways and I think that's what they both needed.

Overall 4.5/5 stars!

🎧 This was a duet narration by James Cassidy and Mollie Stark. I'm relatively new to both of these narrators but they are both easily becoming favorites for me. The narration was incredible and I absolutely recommend it.

Thank you to Harlow James for this e-ARC/ALC. All opinions are my own.

Finally! It’s about time the two main characters in this book put their hatred for each other aside and admitted they had feelings for each other. As a reader of the first three books in this series, I have been eagerly awaiting Elliott and Dilynne’s story. Once the two became honest about how they felt, Wow! They made up for lost time. The author did not hold back on the spice!

DiLynne is an unforgettable character. She’s a mechanic who owns a garage. She is feisty. Her quick wit unleashes memorable comebacks. She does have a heart of gold. She is willing to help Elliott after he suffers a heartbreak, because she understands what he’s going through.

“I can handle it, especially because no matter what game we’re playing, you’re the one I want to be playing it with.”

“Love is something none of us should ever take for granted, and when you find someone who makes you a better person, you do everything in your power to make sure they know how much they’ve changed your life.”

~It's About Time~Blossom Peak Book 4~Harlow James~

~Duet Narration~Mollie Stark & James Cassidy~

~Production~One Night Stand Studios~

"Because when you love someone, you should never stop reminding them that they’re the most important part of your life."

♡I'm so sad this series has come to an end but what an amazing end it was. I have been patiently waiting for Dilynne & Elliot's story because the tension those two had in the other books was fire & so was their story & it was about time they got together! These two were exactly what the other needed. They were both there for one another during the lowest of times & even in the darkness they found light in the place they least expected.

The duet narration for this audiobook was fantastic. Mollie & James did an impeccable job bringing Dilynne & Elliot to life & matched their personalities perfectly!

If you love slow burn romances, small-town vibes, banter for days, & a fake engagement to tie it all together look no further!♡

~As Always Happy Reading~

It is a little bittersweet to get to this book, while we have waited for Elliott’s story, I do not want the series to end. These characters in this series are relatable; I would be friends with them. I will miss the group chats! Harlow James has provided us with a window into this friends group that I am not sure I want to close. I will miss Blossom Peak, I know I will be rereading this series.

Dilynne and Elliott have been friends since childhood, they have been bickering since High School. Side characters in the first three books, so no surprises here, until we get their backstory told through flashbacks. Now the pieces are beginning to fall into place.

Dilynne you have grown on me, your snark is perfect. Your growth and confidence blooms as we work through the story. You can make it. Your journey with Elliot waited until you were both ready.

I recommend this book and this series, and anything Harlow James writes.

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

This is the fourth book in this phenomenal series, and this is Elliot and Dilynne’s story.
Dilynne is a sassy, and sarcastic mechanic, and Elliot is her brother’s best friend. When Elliot is left at the altar by his ex, he spirals out of control, and his friends don’t know how to help him, but it is Dilynne who shows up to babysit him. When Dilynne is on the brink of her biggest car yet, she is going to see her ex, the first time after a bad breakup, and when Elliot’s ex shows up again, Dilynne proposes a mutually beneficial fake engagement.
This is a well written easy to read story, with family, friendships, emotions, secrets, animosity, insults, delf-doubt, fake engagement, enemies / lovers, humour, witty banter, healing, palpable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, small-town romance.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Absolutely outstanding Duet Narration by James Cassidy and Mollie Stark. They were both perfect for these characters.

The banter between the two characters had me laughing almost non-stop. The growth in each of their character arcs was perfect. You could feel the changes in them as they happened.

I adored the story line. I always love a good "he falls first", but this one also had kind of a 2nd chance, slow burn, enemies to lovers, small town, and found family that just made it almost perfect for me.

Mollie delivered Diylnn's snarky lines, comeback lines, and inner monologues with perfection.

James was Elliot down to the hurting heart and including the dirty mouth. He delivered Elliot's lines with snark and heart.

I'm going to have to go back and read the other novels in this series especially if they are as good as this one!
