Kastian Miller is handsome, rich, and charming. There isn't a shortage of women that would love to make the bachelor settle down, but he's never had a girlfriend. Kastian has never met the person that could make him fall. He's getting older and wants a legacy but not necessarily the relationship that comes with it. Kastian wants children not love. Until he meets the woman that piques his interest in ways no other woman ever has. The problem is she's already married. An even bigger problem, Kastian doesn't care. It doesn't take long for his intentions to change. Maybe a wife wouldn't be so bad after all. Getting Persia won't be easy, but Kastian doesn't mind a challenge. He also doesn't mind as long as she's there to catch him.
I liked Kastian and Persia individually as characters and I wanted to love them as a unit but some parts of their story didn’t fully come together. I’m actually happy we didn’t spend too much time on the drama with her ex husband, I liked the way that played out hell he had a little too much book time for me. Like sir move on, on the other hand Persia had valid points of wanting to take things slow, but sis was contradicting herself left and right. Finally when I figure it out the curve ball with the friend threw me.. That was a whole new plot that deserved so much more time to flush out. I literally thought the book was going to be a cliffhanger, because introducing that plot twist at 89% of the book seemed strange making the ending feel like we jumped in a Time Machine. It all moved too fast and left me feeling incomplete. Overall I walked away wanting more of them bc I really enjoyed them and want to see how they grow now that they are together, so hopefully a spin off of some sort is coming…
This started off strong. I liked Persia and Kastian, and they were both valid in their feelings and their goals, but at some point they started getting on my nerves, especially Persia. Yes, Kastian had some nerve trying to lock her down so early, after she'd just gotten of out of something heavy, but the mental gymnastics that Persia indulged in to justify going back to Kastian after he told her gave me second hand embarrassment. The ending was beyond fantastical and had me rolling my eyes. I had already been skimming since about 80% and was just happy for it to be over. This book took me way too long to read, and that's because it was annoying me, but kept my interest just enough to keep going lol.
Persia and Kastian were perfect for each other. Who knew David was such a lame. He was willing to give his wife to another man for 12 hours. Crazy thing is he had money and was willing to pass Persia off like that. He really was a joke. I’m glad Persia opened her eyes to him. I wish she would’ve done her mother like Tina did. Sometimes it’s fine to cut family off so you can have peace. She was definitely Kastian’s peace. Helped him with his panic attacks and had him falling in love, hard. He never had a relationship and the women he impregnated never had the babies. It was meant for him to have one with Persia. I can’t believe Ryder. He upset me so bad. Did Tesha dirty and snitched on his folk. Just disloyal! Glad Tesha got with Qua and he showed her real love. She became a really good friend to Persia and they got to be pregnant together. I was ecstatic to see that Kastian walked through that door and made it home to his woman and son! Great story Natisha!
David sold guns and was married to Persia a real estate broker and David made the mistake of selling dirty guns to Kastian who was king of the city. Kastian gave David an “Indecent Proposal” to spend twelve hours with Persia to buy David two weeks to pay Kastian $60,000 that he was out of due to the dirty guns. Persia lost all respect and the little love that she had for David when he was willing to serve her up on a silver platter to Kastian. Kastian only made the offer because he wanted to punk David and he really was infatuated with Persia. Kastian and Persia ended up spending time together after she left David and filed for divorce. Kastian’s right hand man and best friend Ryder was a big disappointment and I like the way that Tesha bossed up on and left Ryder for the way he kept playing in her face. The best surprise was the surprise that Persia received at her baby shower. This was really a good book and I’m glad that everything worked out for Kastian, Persia, and KJ and they got their own HEA.
Kastian is a piece of work. Ol girl had just gotten out of her tumultuous a*s marriage and he couldn’t wait a little longer? He mad she got dudes blowing her line up meanwhile he doing more than that with his women he got on the side. Out here getting women pregnant left and right. He was triggering me so bad, I had to dnf once he told her he might be going to jail. I don’t need to know what happened after that, he got her ready to play step mom to his fetus, and she was finna keep messing with him before he “went to jail”. She was out here acting like a bird. The author definitely deserved her 3 stars because no one else has managed to get me this immersed in a story to the point I’m yelling at the book lol her writing is also a lot better than what I’ve been seeing. Give it a read.

I was expecting more focus on the situation with the ex-husband since it was highlighted in the blurb, but that part felt underdeveloped. There also wasn’t much depth when it came to Kastian’s desire for a child—it was mentioned, but not fully explored. The story seemed to center more on his involvement in the drug game, yet even that aspect wasn’t fleshed out or clearly explained. The book had several moving parts, but for me, they never truly flowed together. I really wanted to see more development in the relationship between the main characters. Overall, it had good bones and the potential for a strong story, but it never fully came together for me.
4.5. I Enjoyed the book. Kastian didn't want love, felt he never needed love, but he wanted a child. A child that he could raise in a respectful coparenting relationship. That was until he saw Persia. Persia was everything he never knew he needed, but the only problem is she was married. Persia wasn't madly in love with her husband, but she had enough love for him until he tried to use her to settle a debt. Now, Persia doesn't know what to do, and with her constantly running into Kastian it is making her decision harder. Well written and the characters make you fall in love with them.
Kastain and Persia took me on a little ride and I enjoyed it. I was so happy Persia left David. I do believe he was cheating on my girl when he was out of town. How you gone agree to let another man have his way with your wife for 12 hours because you owe the man. David was a sucka from the beginning. I like how Kastain played it like he wasn’t checking for Persia the whole time he truly was and didn’t want to admit it. This was a great read. But I expect nothing less from this author.
Ms. Raynor, you never cease to amaze me. 😮 Persia and Kastian's love journey was better than I was expecting. 💕 I'm not a fan of stories that deal with someone cheating in their marriage, but this wasn't that type of story. 📖 Kastian was smitten with Persia but backed off when he realized she was married. Now, when Persia's husband David did the unthinkable to save himself, is when things took a turn in their marriage. 🔄 The door opened for Kastian, and with a few bumps and walls, they got a happily ever after. 💖
Kastian and Persia couldn't stop running into each other, that was a sign. So when her husband does a bad deal with Kas, he forces his hand...my money now or 12 hours with your wife. Guess what her husband chooses? Persia, ever mindful of what her husband does solves his problems immediately and that starts the journey to Kastian winning her over. This was a good read. Kastian and Persia both realized that they met at the right time, even if the circumstances weren't perfect. Happy Reading Y'all!💋
Persia and Kastian’s relationship before they met, seemed like they were contented with their relationships. Situations occurred, and they met an realized differently. Always loved how Ms.Raynor does her research on various professions, detailed even. Didn’t like Kastian’s illegal activities,so many of the young men in our communities go to is illegal activities, while the young women are strippers….no desire to attend college, while in high school? Overall,a good read. Five ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Oh, I was not sleeping until I finished this book. There were so many moving parts that I wasn't expecting. The ending, chef's kiss baby. There should have been an epilogue or something. My greedy self.
Persia, baby you were a boss chick. Kastian, friend, you were a devious person with a heart of gold. Punking people and standing on business. I loved both of ya'll growth.
Kastian and Persia both went through the process of being caught. Kastian never knew what it felt like to be in love and Persia was married to a man that she wasn’t in love with, who was a real dud. Although neither weren’t planning to fall in love, fate had other plans. Friendships were tested, friends were made, lies were told and in the end, things really worked out for the best.
I really enjoyed Persia and Kastian’s story! Persia didn’t deserve the drama David put her through, he was scum for the BS he tried to pull. Kastian was a real boss! The chemistry between the two of them was undeniable and Kastian realizing he had feelings for Persia was priceless!
Another amazing read. I loved these characters and wouldn’t mind reading more about them later. I read it straight through, there was no boring or slow spot. Great job Natisha as usual.
When I say I went through so many emotions?? Whew chile... Persia momma was a trip, Ion like that lady. And her husband, ugh. I needed him to go away permanently. Glad she met Kastian. Definitely a power couple.
This was a BIG POWER PLAY Period. I can’t say enough about my Author Queen she never disappoints. I was so disappointed when he said he had a baby on the way I wanted to kill Kastian but things worked out like they were supposed too. I loved this book❤️
This was a great read. The disappointments, lack of trust, lies, get backs, fears and newfound love was everything. So many moving parts but the ending was beautiful. If you have t read this book, do so. Check out Natisha Raynor’s catalog. She’s good ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I loved me some Kastian. I’m sad that this book ended. I hate that some things went the way they did but also happy how things turned out. Read the book, you won’t be disappointed!!! Thank you for another one!!!
My boy wanted his cake and everything else because how do you want Persia but still sleeping with everybody then want to blame her for not being ready after being assaulted by the man she married.
I’ve enjoyed several of her previous titles, but this one right here! She solidified herself into my must read author rotation. Characters are flawed, relatable and lovable. Storyline was realistic and engaging. I’m a fan, fan!
This was definitely a good read. Well written with a good storyline. Character's that was likeable, interesting, and well developed. I loved the title and it describes the story within. This author never disappoints and always delivers.
Such a great read! I love MMC that are about their business. Kastian was just that, he did not disappoint. Persia could write a book about settling while still successful. The way Persia and Kastian had to cross paths was due to bad choices. The end result was absolutely dreamy.
