When his brother's death leaves an impossible debt, Luca Ferrara offers himself as payment. He expects death. He gets something far more dangerous.
Luca walks into the Volkov estate knowing he won't walk out. His brother Marco owed the Russian mafia more than he could pay, and debts don't die with the debtor. But Yuri Volkov, the cold and calculating heir, has other plans. Instead of a bullet, Luca gets a cage—a luxurious penthouse prison where he belongs to Yuri in every way that matters.
He's collateral. Property. A means to an end.
Yuri has spent sixteen years hunting his mother's killer, and Marco Ferrara was involved. Now Luca is Yuri's to use—his body, his connections, his complete obedience—until Yuri gets the answers he needs. But as they work together to uncover a conspiracy that reaches the highest levels of the Volkov organization, the lines between captor and captive begin to blur.
Hate becomes want. Control becomes need. And chains become choice.
Luca should be planning his escape. Instead, he's falling for the man who owns him. And Yuri, who swore to never let anyone close, finds himself willing to burn his entire empire down to keep Luca safe.
But when the man responsible for Marco's death and Katya Volkov's murder makes his move, Luca and Yuri must revenge or redemption? Duty or love? Die separately or survive together?
In a world built on blood and lies, sometimes the only way out is through.
A dark M/M mafia romance featuring enemies-to-lovers, captivity, obsessive love, and a revenge plot sixteen years in the making. Contains mature content, intense scenes, and a guaranteed HEA.
This came highly recommended and I did in fact enjoyed it, BUT, the spice was missing! For a mafia story I expected spice, action, betrayal, blood, bullets and lies...I got all that but the spice which is why I'm giving it a 4.5.
"Yuri had expected a coward or a fool. Instead, he'd gotten someone with a spine." And boy did Luca give him a run for his money hehe a spitfire!
"That love doesn't always look like we expect it to." - This was such a beautiful reflection on Luca's part.
I have enjoyed all this authors books so far but I did not like this one. No way his father just sweeps his wife’s murder under the rug and covers years of embezzlement. No way the families allow that
3.5🌟 Aside from the fact that Luca talked about going to the cops when that guy should have been shot there and then, the progress between Yuri and Luca was so sweet to read☺️
