In Marrow's Creek, the fog doesn’t just hide secrets—it breathes them. Two strangers cross paths beneath the dying glow of a neon chapel on the eve of Halloween. One runs from her past, the other obeys a voice he can’t explain. A reckless vow made in the midnight hour binds them together—flesh, spirit, and fate—before the veil between worlds slips open. As whispers rise from the bayou and old ghosts stir, desire turns dangerous and trust becomes a weapon. Their union feels divine… or cursed. Because in Marrow's Creek, love is never just love— it’s a haunting that chooses you.
Honestly I'm not too sure how I felt about this book, It's not like one of my normal type of reads. There wasn't really romance in a sense of how other books that I read were it's like an underlying need want care protect between main characters. I'm thinking there might be other books that follow that give a little bit more of an explanation. I feel like I understood what was going on and was equally confused at the same time.
This story was so different from my usual reads. It was intriguing and mysterious all rolled in one. It definitely let some unanswered questions. Just enough for part two.
That was really good. I loved how the town was built, the characters and who they fed off each other. This was different and I love that fact. Good read.
