I know how you feel. Sometimes it seems like the world is going to come to an end at any moment. Humanity, you assume, is just one of those things that is not worth your faith … only you’re wrong. All it takes is finding the heart that got lost along the way. When we can hear the whisper within our own hearts as we once did before…when we see the magic … that is when the world begins again. That is why I do what I do.
October 1962 - the world is on edge. While Soviet missiles in Cuba take aim at the United States, Margo Wilson tries to become the top journalist in Chicago to cover the story. When her inside source is stolen from her, she finds herself with no story to report on. Financially strapped and willing to take on any job the newspaper can offer, she reluctantly agrees to pursue a whole new story. She is to interview a man who claims that he is the one and only Kris Kringle.
Hoping to cash in on a scathing article that proves the man to be a fraud, she quickly questions her angle as miracles and magic seem to go hand in hand the further she pursues the story.
Finally, after all these years, her story is finally told. And so is his.
Paul Teresi attended Eastern Illinois University to pursue a degree in teaching history. He left to pursue a career in writing after creating an independently produced sold out show on his campus. Since then, he has written several stage productions at Chicago's famed Second City Training Center. While performing live shows was his favorite thrill, he has found a new niche in writing his stage stories longhand for publication.
As you can tell, he also has a hard time sticking to one genre, which is a blast for him. Hopefully, the readers too.
After a really tough year, I needed a reminder that life is good and this is an uplifting story that did the trick. Here’s to believing in the magic of Kris 💕
Not exactly what I was expecting… It takes a lot of imagination to follow along with this storyline. Different dimensions, changes in time, and magical moments…. But isn’t that what the mystery of Santa is all about anyway? This is a good story to set the mood for a wonderful Christmas holiday season.
For the most part, found this story charming. It carries a lot of the charm of other origin stories of Santa Claus. Unfortunately, it also carries extraneous subplots that aren’t needed and, to my way of thinking, get in the way. There are also grammar issues.
This is the greatest little holiday story ever. It will make you a believer in the jolly man with a white beard and red hat. People of all ages would enjoy reading this over the holidays, I know I did.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story. I definitely won't think of Santa Claus the same way. This was an enjoyable read and brings out the good side of Christmas.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It is told with feelings and compassion. The messages are woven into a heartfelt story. It shares the perfect holiday message.
