I love them, I love them, I love them, I love them, I love them, I love them, I love them…

Did I mention I love Momo and Ichikura as a couple?! 🥰🥰🥰

I really really loved how the school arc wrapped up and how Ichikura was FINALLY able to convey his feelings! Not only that, but both of them were able to talk AND go on a date shortly afterwards! EEEEPPP!

And not to go into details about that said date, but Momo has some of the widest range of expressions! I loved how she would be super bright and excited to super sad and bummed. I’m with Ichikura that how could he NOT have fun with how over the place her reactions were! 🤭 Plus, it was just SO cute to see them together!!

The start of this new arc is such a painful one! 😭 While I’m thankful some of the newest characters we have met are still having some page time, it hurts to see how deeply invested one of them is in someone that obviously is not good news for them. Like please, listen to your friends! 🥺

Overall, I absolutely loved rereading this volume and knew I would (even though I confess that I was sad how many words were missing a space between them because it was increasingly becoming more distracting by the end 😭)! These characters, specifically Momo and Ichikura, are so fun and I'm excited to see how things unfold next volume!

I don’t like being told what to do by machines.

Momose and Ichikura are at it again and that means another volume of them being stupid cute together. No issues here - this has been one of my favourite romances of the last little while.

While Ichikura can have some truly odd logic, it always boils down to how much he cares about Momose. They’re always trying their hardest for one another and it always makes me smile seeing how affectionate they are.

Even when they’re amidst a completely unoriginal storyline, like the carefully planned date where everything goes completely wrong but it all works out, their chemistry always elevates the material so it never feels like a chore.

In exciting plot developments, Yachiyo finally realizes he has no chance with Momose and acknowledges it, but this somehow makes him an even better character. That’s basically the secret sauce of the series - turning mundane things into its strengths.

When the club gets a request to help Yachiyo’s friend, Yataro, confess, it further cements Yachiyo’s pretty boy status in a series of highly amusing vignettes. He’s basically the world’s worst wingman, although a solid hairdresser.

Naturally, this leads to a scenario where Yataro is on a date and he’s quickly in over his head, but the gang is in hot pursuit. I find that the series is very good at firing off effective throwaway gags that don’t interrupt the storyline because the latter isn’t meant to be taken too seriously anyway.

The somewhat violent Sakyo also makes a welcome return here, ultimately becoming adorably pouty when her idea of a raid on a gang is kiboshed in favour of something less immediately aggressive.

We don’t quite see the resolution of this storyline by volume’s end, but you can mark my words that despite his apparently relative indifference, Ichikura has already dealt with the situation that Momose is fretting about.

This doesn’t have some grand message behind it or an intense mission statement it’s out to prove. It’s about two goofballs in love and that is absolutely fine with me. I have an apparently bottomless appetite for these two being sweet and I remain firmly here for their relationship.

Plus, it has an interesting side cast that is admittedly mostly delinquents, but distinct ones at the very least. And you get cute little bits like Momose and Yataro bonding over gushing about being in love to one another.

4 stars - there’s just a pure charm to this series that I have come to appreciate and it’s one of the best romances I’m reading right now. Flipping adorable.

I’ve read SO MUCH manga and I STILL don’t understand the getting shy about saying first names LOL.

Yataro definitely doesn’t deserve to get his money swindled and beat up by a gang but he just wants love!!! Poor guy! Where’s his sweet girl?
Ichikura totally has a plan for this situation with that mischievous smile at the end of this volume. Can’t wait to see how this whole situation turns out!

"i'm having fun, you know. i mean... seeing you so desperate at the arcade and then being moved so much just by a single stuffed animal. seeing you so hyped just by a photo booth. and finally seeing you get so down in the dumps by some rain."
"is that fun?! it's not a complaint?!"
"each and every one of those really made me think 'i'm so in love.' of course i'm having fun."

Ahhhhhh I'm so glad the Yachiyo conflict was brief and just brought them closer together. There are several moments in this volume that made me absolutely feral, especially the planetarium scene. The panels this author gives to Ichikura are just so good!!! They're so adorable together and I hate that I have to wait another 3 months for the next volume 😭

Them in the planetarium together is so cute!! She def has the best approach when it comes to telling someone they are being tricked especially if that person might think you are just being jealous. I am loving how the MC relationship is developing & how she is becoming more okay with certain things but also still getting embarrassed. Their relationship is so cute!!!

Omggg this actually is an interesting turn of events. Bringing Yataro more to life rather than a complete side character with no story was a great idea. I love this and hope Hiro calls her boo by his first name ~ Dan-chan! (人 •͈ᴗ•͈)

Me hubiera gustado que Momose e Ichikura hubieran hablado mas sobre sus sentimientos y lo que pasó con Yachiyo pero fuera de eso me gustó mucho este tomo
