Colbie’s characters are sexy, hot, adorable - and often filthy - alphas and omegas. They include feudal lords with dark secrets, outrageous aristocrats with scandals buried deep in their past and poverty-stricken gentleman who have gambled away their inheritance.
Lurking in the background are notorious kings, princesses, and courtiers whose opinions change with each whisper in their ear.
And as for Colbie herself? She dictates her steamy stories with a glass of champagne in one hand. Because why not?
This has been an interesting and enjoyable series with kidnapping fated mates as the main theme. La Luna Noir is a mafia wolf pack, and over the course of the series, five members have found their fated mates with kidnapping involved. The last, and latest, is alpha wolf shifter Madd, undercover for the pack, kidnapped by a competing dragon flight, all so he can be forced to mate with the dragon omega heir, Evander. The said heir happens to have an identical twin, Conrad, “the spare” coming from the egg 4 minutes after his brother and largely ignored most of his life except for his job directing security for the flight, at which he excels. Once Madd figures out what the reason was for his kidnapping, it is a bigger problem because the “spare” is his fated mate, not the heir, to whom he has been promised. As the mating ceremony approaches, Conrad gives in to his dragon and escapes with Madd. Now, once mated, all they have to do is survive while being hunted by the flight so that Evander can recapture Madd and get rid of Conrad. As the hunt and evasive tactics continue, the pack must figure out a way to protect Madd and Conrad, as well as the rest of the pack, from an angry dragon gone rogue who won’t give up until he gets what he wants. Complicating matters is the facts that wolves have little chance against dragon attacks from the sky so much strategy is involved, some negotiating, an unexpected event within the dragon flight, and a pregnancy for Madd and Conrad. Eventually the two get their HEA, but not without treachery, bloodshed, death, and then birth, all with support of the pack.
It is great to have characters from the former books pop in and out, and it is especially fun to see Arnie and his love language of food, popping up when least expected. Madd and Conrad take the time to get to know each other before pursuing their bonding, both being headstrong themselves, so some negotiation is necessary on each side as they try to figure out their relationship with each other and within the pack structure, giving the reader some entertaining peeks into that process as they develop the love for their fated mate.
It is disappointing that this is the end of the series, as each book has been interesting and engaging as each couple navigated the adjustments that go with kidnapping and fitting into a new family and environment as they find happiness with their fated mate. If the idea intrigues you, check out the series, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Do read them in order, as each story adds a new couple to the mix with older ones still around, although they can also be read as standalones. Whichever way you go, if you like shifters, omegaverse, mafia connections, kidnapping, fated mates, and adorable babies, this series is an entertaining one.

Wolf shifter Madd knows how to disappear into a role, gather intel, and come home. But when his cover is blown inside enemy territory, the Solari dragons don’t just take him prisoner. They try to turn him into leverage.
Omega dragon shifter Conrad has spent his life controlled, blamed, and useful only when his fire serves someone else’s agenda. Madd should be an enemy. Instead, he’s the alpha mate Conrad’s dragon refuses to abandon, even when choosing him means challenging everything Conrad was raised to obey.
What starts as captivity and political maneuvering shifts into escape, forced trust, and a bond neither of them knows how to handle. Madd is steady where Conrad expects punishment, while Conrad is sharper, softer, and more wounded than Madd first realizes.
Conrad slowly sheds the fear and emotional restraint that defined his life, allowing himself to trust, love, and imagine a future beyond survival. Madd moves from seeing himself as Conrad’s protector to becoming a true partner, learning love sometimes means sharing control and making space for vulnerability. Their connection evolves from reluctant attraction into a deeply trusting relationship where desire, emotional safety, and commitment become equally important.
A hot MM omegaverse shifter romance featuring fated mates, enemies to lovers tension, forced proximity, wolf and dragon shifters, mafia rivalries, found family, pregnancy, and a bond that refuses to be denied. It explores trust, identity, belonging, trauma, loyalty, healing, and the difference between being controlled and being loved. It’s about a dragon who learns he deserves more than survival, a wolf who discovers protection and partnership aren’t the same thing, and a relationship built on the choice to stay, trust, and build a home together.
The Elevator Pitch: When an undercover wolf shifter is captured by a rival dragon flight, the last thing he expects to find is the mate fate chose for him on the opposite side of a decades-old conflict. As loyalty, family, and survival collide, a guarded dragon and a stubborn wolf must decide whether the bond between them is worth risking everything they’ve ever known. What begins as captivity and political maneuvering slowly transforms into a fight for trust, belonging, and a future neither man thought was possible.
I'm not a huge fan of mafia romance these days, but I'm glad I gave this one a shot since it was pretty good (though it felt almost mafia-lite now that I think about it). Madd and Conrad worked well together as a couple and I really liked that time was giving to them getting to know each other. There were a few times were I was confused about who had the point of view (which I suspect might have been typos given they generally had very distinct personalities). There were also several times a lot of names got tossed out at once or an event got referred to that I figured was a nod to one of the prior books (none of which I have read). I know for some people this would bother them and they'd snap up the prior books for context, but I honestly didn't care. I never felt like I didn't know what was going on when this happened, more like it was a brief overview of something that could potentially be more detailed, but didn't need to be to carry the story. Overall, a good read, though Evander's actions didn't entirely make sense to me which left me wondering about a few things here and there. Definitely recommend if you want some Romeo and Juliet style fated mates in your next read.

Hang on get comfortable you are going to be a moment make sure you have your favorite wine, yummy snacks, and snuggle blanket. Madden works for his pack gathering intel getting in, getting out is his plan often a monkey wrench is thrown into the plan, but this has the hands of fate all over it because this time he is kidnapped and held by the Solari dragons the leader wants leverage, but his fated mate is there. Conrad an omega dragon shifter, where his parents, twin uses him, control him, blames for everything really, drain him of ever use he may have, so when they capture the alpha he instantly recognize him as his mate refusing walk away allowing him to be with his twin especially going against all that he was taught. But allowing him to be used has Conrad being the dragon he was born to be helping him mate escape, through the bond, but he is so afraid can he trust him or override what he has been built into his DNA with Madd help he realizes his mate needs him more he is broken by his family and he needs Madd softer, more patient side but also his protector growing into so much more but will Conrad’s family let him go, will Madd’s family accept him, will he feel safe, protected, and is this their time to find happiness with a little peace?
Review for (The Wolves of La Luna Noir-5) Thrown into the Mob by Colbie Dunbar Tropes-
Paranormal Romance MM Wolf Shifter Mpreg Dragons
I am addicted to a good Mob story. I remember the days I wouldn't read mob stories, and now I can't get enough of that trope lol. I even fall farther into the story when I find out it's going to be paranormal with shifters. Madd, who is a wolf shifter who works for what his family needs, if that means submerging himself into a role to get info, he will do it and get that information for his family. As we all know, there is a chance of being found out, and guess what? Madd gets found out by the Solari dragon shifters. He is held for them to use as leverage to get what they want. Conrad, the omega dragon shifter, has been controlled his whole life. He deserves so much better, to be able to live his life, not what others want him to live. I loved it when Madd and Conrad were found out to be mates. This story was sad at times. When Conrad is made not to do what he had been taught his whole life to be able to have his mate, this story is full of political captivity for these two mates. I couldn't put it down once I started. I have to find and read more by this author.
This is book five in the author’s Wolves of La Luna Noir series and features a wolf/dragon pairing in which Madd, a wolf was kidnapped by the head of the dragon mob in order to force him to marry one of his sons… except the OTHER son is Madd’s fated mate… I think this is the first time I’ve read this particular storyline but it was kinda cool. What SHOULD’VE been an easy fix turned into a mess with brother fighting against brother and the wolves of La Luna Noir were forced to do the unthinkable and fight alongside a dragon in order to protect one of their own (gasp!).
I loved Madd and Conrad, the omega dragon; they were really sweet together. I was completely invested in their story and had several theories on how I thought it was gonna go but, it turned out, I was only half right in the end though I still enjoyed it. So, if, like me, you enjoy mafia romance and shifter romance, give the combination of the two a try; it was a good read that kept my attention from beginning to end and I finished it in one sitting. 4.25 stars.

I really enjoyed Thrown into the Mob! This MM paranormal romance features an alpha wolf shifter, Madden and an omega dragon shifter, Conrad. While there are a few mafia ties woven into the story, the heart of the book is definitely the romance between these two fated mates. I loved watching Madden and Conrad's relationship develop. Their devotion to each other was heartwarming, and even with the twin drama they faced, their bond never wavered. While this book wasn't quite as spicy as some paranormal romances, it had plenty of sweet moments that made me smile. One of my favorite parts of the story was all the interactions with Madden's family. The side characters added so much warmth, humor and personality, and they made the world feel even more complete. If you're looking for a feel-good MM paranormal romance with shifters, fated mates, mpreg, lovable characters and a satisfying HEA, I definitely recommend Thrown into the Mob!.

"Thrown into the Mob" is the 5th and final book in Colbie Dunbar's Wolves of La Luna Noir series. Not a standalone. Best to read in order as there's so much character and story overlap. Fun, quick to read. Who knew the Dunbar genius could come up with five distinct versions of kidnapping my mate? There have been dark moments, it's mafiosa after all. But Grandpa Arnie and his food love language and colorful, forever cheerful omega dad, Rudy helped this from going toooooo dark. The series is notable for a bit of angst, strong matings and united family. Now, with Madd and Conrad, we get pure melodrama.Evil vs good twin. A fate determined mating that both mains very reluctantly accept. There's a slow paced, high spiced coming together. Lots of fingers reaching for fingers. Scenery chewing at it's best! And the most excellent bit (for me) is a dragon omega. One with a tragic past that just wrings out Madd's protective urges. Overall, a very well written series. One of Ms. Dunbar's best.

This was a fantastic conclusion to the series and a satisfying way to wrap up the Wolves of La Luna Noir world. Madden and Conrad's story had everything I enjoy in a shifter romance—fated mates, family loyalty, emotional moments, and plenty of heart.
I loved the chemistry between these two from the start, and even with the complications surrounding Conrad's twin and the ongoing mafia conflict, their connection always felt genuine and unwavering. The romance leans more sweet than scorching, which really let the emotional bond shine through.
One of my favorite parts was spending time with Madden's family again. They brought so much warmth, humor, and support to the story, making the world feel rich and lived-in. The ending tied everything together beautifully, leaving me with a smile and a full heart. A wonderful finale for readers who love fated mates, shifters, mpreg, found family, and a well-earned happily ever after.

"This was the guy who broke out of the compound for us, destroying any chance he could return to his family."
I'm so sad, this is the last book in the series, The Wolves of La Luna Noir, by Colbie Dunbar. When I saw this one on Booksprout I grabbed it because there was no way I was going to miss the final book. The author pulled out all the stops and what a ride it was. Colbie definitely kept us on our toes. And yes, there is a surprise twist.
Grandpa Arnie and the crew are all present and accounted for. The pack comes together to protect what is theirs.
Kidnapped by dragons while undercover, being forced into a mating with the wrong twin, an heir and a spare, hurt/comfort, fated mates, forced into hiding, can an omega dragon fit into a wolf pack, an unplanned pregnancy
Two Mafia families. Dragon and wolf. Madd is caught in the middle. He senses his fated mate, who is not the twin he is being forced to mate. I loved this book! Madd and Conrad are perfect for each other. This is a charming love story, complete with a rescue that will leave you breathless. The characters are so well written. The story flows seamlessly. There are unexpected twists that will leave you gasping. But through it all, the love that Madd and Conrad share allow them to make it together. Yes, there is violence...dragons, wolved & mafia after all. But it is not gratuitous. And don't get me started on the sex! Whew! So hot! Bottom line... you will Love this book. So go on and grab it Now! You know you want it!.

'Thrown into the Mob features a wolf alpha who argues with his beast, an omega dragon who keeps his rooms cold to control his fire, the identical twin who isn't what he seems, Grandpa Arnie and his love of food, fated mates, an adorable baby, and a guaranteed happy ever after. If you love your alphas stubborn and your omegas with a fire in their belly, grab your copy today.'
The characters were very appealing and likeable and complicated and absolutely perfect together. Plot was intriguing and exciting and well paced. World building was excellent and solidly drawn. All in all a satisfying conclusion to the series. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend!

I enjoyed this story about Madden Durrand or Madd for short, who was kidnapped by the dragon shifters to be used as a political pawn. The patriarch of the dragon shifters wanted to force Madd into marrying his son Evander, but he was the fated mate, to his identical twin, brother, Conrad. The story evolved and he was able to escape with Conrad from the dragons compound and they were able to mate and be together as they were meant to be according to fate. The story became more political in the fact that Evander felt cheated from his mate, and in the end, brothers had to fight each other and they always had to be a loser and that happened to be. Evander and Conrad went onto live with his mate and their child, but there was a twist at the end.
I was given an advanced copy of this book to read and I am reviewing with my honest and fair opinion.
MPreg and kidnapping is always fun. Well, at least it is when Colbie writes it. This is an intriguing fated mates story, with twin dragon omegas, a kidnapped wolf alpha and the lovely family feeling of the previous La Luna Noir stories. In this one, we have Mann who was undercover and kidnapped by the Solari Dragon family, where he meets his fated mate, Conrad. Only problem? Conrad is the spare, not the heir, and Evander the heir? Well, he's expected to mate with Mann. There's a lot of intrigue and maneuvering before things work out and of course Mann and Conrad mate and have a baby but there is a lot more to consider, including Evander not being all that happy about being denied... Grandpa/Uncle Arnie is a highlight as always, he's adorable. Loved this one.

Thrown Into The Mob Book 5 of The Wolves Of La Luna Noir by Colbie Dunbar is a great read! Fated Mates, Dragon Shifters, Wolf Shifters, Twins, a Father who is evil, and hot and spicey scenes with a fated mate.
Madd- an alpha wolf, spy, and family focused. Conrad-omega dragon, traumatized by his ass of a father.
I love Colbie's stories. I had only read one other book in this particular story but I didn't feel at a disadvantage. references from other books were explained and it was seemless entry into this story. I loved how sexy the mc's are. You will fall in love with Madd and COnrad and you will be rooting for them and their family.
I received this Advanced Readers Copy via Booksprout for free and I am leaving this albeit late review voluntarily.
Fated Twin?? I enjoyed this story of scenting your mate and finding out that the person who you thought was your forever is not. Maddie believes he's found his mate only to realize that fate has other plans for him. Conrad has been disregarded and made to feel invisible and less than. Maddie sees the true Conrad and loves him unconditionally. I enjoyed reading their story and how they went from a family of three to six. I was a little confused as to how Evander had eggs since there did not seem to a love interest for him, but it did not take away from my enjoyment of Maddie and Conrad's story. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
If it's not one thing, it's another! Absolutely, delicious. Madd's and Conrad's families are enemies. Madd and Conrad are fated mates. It takes some maneuvering to end up on the right side of love to cement their happiness. Colbie, does us a solid with this last book, but it's a mess for the series to end, I'm hoping for some newly discovered relatives. There are a lot of twists turns, familial interference and challenges for Madd and Conrad to navigate and they are not at their friendliest as they try to make love happen. Colbie, writes amazing love adventure stories and this is one of the best. Well done!
Thrown into the Mob is the 5th and final book in The Wolves of La Luna Noir series. In my opinion this series is best read in order. This is the story of Madden(Madd) an alpha wolf shifter and Conrad an omega dragon shifter. I loved this book and seeing new and old friends. This was just a great story with great chemistry between these two. The plot fit in perfectly with the series. I couldn't put this book down once I started it. I really hate seeing this series end. I would definitely recommend this book and series. I received a free review copy
Madd and Conrad, wolf and dragon pairing, story was exciting with danger and adrenaline, secrets and unexpected developments, as well as sweet bundles of joy that will warm your heart. It had rivalry, unexpected outcomes, scheming, jealousy and betrayal, as well determination to change everything for a better and happy life. It had intense moments, as well as sweet loving ones, and the danger kept escalating until the inevitable changes their lives forever. I really enjoyed the story and hope to see more of the characters.
I really enjoyed Thrown into the Mob! This MM paranormal romance follows alpha wolf shifter Madden and omega dragon shifter Conrad, whose fated mates romance is the true focus of the story, with a touch of mafia drama.
I loved watching their relationship grow, and despite the challenges they faced, their bond never wavered. The family interactions were a highlight and added plenty of humor and heart. If you enjoy shifters, fated mates, mpreg, lovable characters, and a satisfying HEA, this is definitely worth checking out.
It does not matter what Madden's family/father wants him to do when he goes undercover on behalf of his family. What matters is that fate helps him find his mate and although his mate is not the one his father wants him to get with, fate must be obeyed. Conrad is the guy for Madden and their love story is adorable. Yes, there are some things going on around the mob elements of this story. But what is really good is this couple finding one another despite what others may have wanted.

I don't know...I really like this series and so far its been enjoyable. Book 5 left me with too many un answered questions. Don't get me wrong, I love the fated mate romance...all of that is enjoyable. I love the running theme of being kidnapped and being mated. Madd and Conrad was great. I just couldn't get with the last part of the story. Conrad's dragon family...unstable and weird.

This is a romantic and suspenseful story. The main characters, Madd and Conrad, are both shifters but Madd is an alpha wolf shifter Conrad is an omega dragon shifter. They each belong to different mafia families. Madd is kidnapped by Conrad's father so Madd can marry Conrad's older twin brother. When Madd and Conrad meet, they know that they're fated mates. They escape and go to Madd's family for help. Both find that they will fight to stay together. I really enjoyed this book.
I've been reading this series from the beginning and I absolutely love it. Madd was undercover, trying to get information on the enemy. In all the research, nobody knew the dragon flight alpha had twin sons. That's until Madd was kidnapped and almost forced to mate Evander, the wrong Dragon twin. Conrad was used to being overlooked and forgotten until he first smelled Madd, his mate.

The dragons discovered Madd was sent undercover by the mob ran by the wolves and stuck him in a cell later moved to a room.. the head of the dragons decided that Madd will marry the youngest twin to maybe they could finally have peace but the other twin older and Madd were mates. Eavander didn’t want to give Madd to Conrad the last fight Eavander and Conrad a twin died.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I liked the twists in the story and how it turned out that Conrad and Madd were fated mates. Madd was kidnapped to be the mate to the wrong brother but i liked how that was fixed. It definitely wasn't smooth sailing but Madd and Conrad are happily in love and parents to four children.
I really enjoyed this story. This is the fifth book in this series and for full enjoyment should be read in order because you will see a lot of familiar characters. I really liked how this story continued with the kidnapping theme even though it was a little different. These two really had to fight for their own HEA and I was so happy to see them get it.
Madd and Conrad have one battle after another to be together. Conrad's father and brother make it necessary to escape. I liked that they had time in Conrad's hideaway getting to know and like each other. I loved that the guys of La Luna Noir are so welcoming, even if Conrad is a curiosity. The surprise at the end caught me off guard. Highly recommended author and series
Conrad was tired of not having things his way but when his fated appeared all bets were off! This book takes us along with two fated mates as they escape a compound that wants to keep them apart. They overcome the dragons to find peace and family with a HEA!.

I have really enjoyed this series. As usually we get a refreshing different pairing with Madd our wolf and Conrad our omega dragon. I absolutely loved Conrad's coldness as a dragon. It contradicted the expected. But never fear the two of them together. now that was hot!
