This is a second chance romance featuring Aldridge “Aldi” Mosley and Danessa “Nessa” Irwin as the MCs. They were college sweethearts who, after five years apart, are thrown back into each other’s lives when Aldi is traded from his basketball team in Kansas to Las Vegas. The crazy part is that Nessa is now Aldi’s realtor and is tasked with helping him find a home. With these two forced to work together, old feelings resurface and though they try to fight it, you know what they say…old flames die hard.

I had a ball reading this book! I loved how these two were written and how natural and real their connection felt. One of my favorite things about this story was how Thompson made them friends first. We see that before anything romantic happens, Aldi and Nessa take their time to rebuild their friendship, supporting, and affirming each other all along the way. These two had an amazing friendship but when things got hot…they got hot! Yep! This was a spicy read!

𝐃𝐨𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐛𝐥𝐞 was also filled with laughs. I laughed out loud so much while reading. Aldi was the funniest! He was so sweet and always had a way of bringing joy to every single scene he was in. I loved the banter between Nessa and Aldi. Now, Nessa’s sister, this girl had me cracking up. I loved how she was unapologetically her and found love her way! We all need an Anika in our lives!

Of course, this book was not all laughter and good times. There were some sad and emotional moments, especially when it came to Aldi’s relationship with his dad and Nessa’s struggles with her mom. I just have to say that these parents were the absolute worst, and these kids deserve an award for having to deal with such trash parents. What I did really like was how Nessa and Aldi helped each other navigate the relationships with their family members. They encouraged and advised each other and when necessary, stood up for one another.

𝐃𝐨𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐛𝐥𝐞 was a beautiful story of love, friendship, and second chances. I absolutely recommend this read!
