I love watching crime documentaries, so this book was right up my alley. Some of these crimes were completely new to me, and it was interesting to learn the details, event if they were quite horrific. Overall, an intriguing read.
The title tells it all. It condenses each event and gives you enough detail to understand what happened. Of course we all have our own ideas of what crimes should be included, but most of the ones I could think were in there. Many I had never heard of, which opened my eyes.
If you want to learn more about the history of the worst crimes ever created in american history. From Ed Gein, Charles Manson and the O.J. simpson trial to the devastating effect Oklahoma city bombing.
Brief accounts of 60 crimes, the people involved, and the attempts to solve them. If you like reading about crimes, there is probably nothing new here for you. If you don't, you'll probably not find it very interesting beyond about six or eight of the accounts.
If you like famous crimes, this is the book to read. It's got them all and details, strange at times but if you are reading about notorious crimes what do you expect?
