“Hats off” to SA Moyer @thetalesofelysian for knocking it out of the park with her fantasy debut! (You gotta read it to get the “hats off” reference, just saying.)

The book had me flippin’ pages, chuckling to myself, shouting with the big plot twist, and slamming it shut after I read that last line… A Prophesy Spoken is full of witty imagination, darling characters, and epic adventures! Highly recommend!

Wow. Just wow. This book has been on my TBR for a while and it blew me out of the water. S.A. Moyer’s writing reminds me of Tolkien and is so inspiring. She creates languages and backstories for all of her characters. I felt like I was opening a history book with current happenings sprinkled here and there. I was sucked in and yet still surprised by plot twists that came my way. The names of the characters were so creative and I didn’t find a single one boring or incomplete.

I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to get lost in a world. This is movie material. It would have to have a high budget for all of the magic it includes. My imagination was bursting at the seams trying to view this. Incredible storytelling.

The Tales of Elysian: A Prophecy Spoken is one of the most whimsical and enchanting fantasy adventures I’ve read in a long time. It captures the charm of a timeless classic while delivering fresh, jaw-dropping twists that keep you turning the pages. The world is rich with imagination and the characters are heartfelt and relatable.

Perfect for readers of all ages, this first book in The Tales of Elysian series is wholesome, wonder-filled, and endlessly entertaining. It is a true escape into a world of destiny and hope. If you love coming of age stories that rekindle the feeling of discovering a new fantasy world for the first time, this book is an absolute must-read.

I received this book as an ARC, and full disclosure, it took me about 25% in before I was completely pulled into the story - probably because the main character is a 14-year-old girl, and I’m obviously no longer that age! But once I got past that, I was hooked and could not put the book down. The attention to detail is incredible, giving me serious Lord of the Rings meets Chronicles of Narnia vibes. The world-building is stunning, the side characters are unforgettable, and the villains are so intriguing, I already have so many questions about them. I’m especially blown away by the author’s skill in creating entire languages - it’s genius and beautiful. This book truly has something for everyone, whether you’re a teen, young adult, or older reader, and I cannot wait for book two.

I don’t read a lot of fiction naturally, but I’m so glad I did for this one! S.A. Moyer did a fantastic job capturing the reader, much like Maeve, into the story and new world. The details and storyline immerses the reader to be there as if to be of the characters themselves. Each chapter ended, pulling me to want to read the next- even into the last chapter pulling me to want to read the next book right away! It was a wonderful blend of various cultures (with their own languages), characters, lands (or ships), adventure, and love. I so enjoyed reading this and look forward to the next book! I am also grateful that it is a clean book so my son will be reading it soon, too!

If you're looking for a fun book with EPIC world-building, then A Prophecy Spoken is for you! A first in series portal fantasy, this story is Alice in Wonderland meets A Wrinkle in Time. It has very compelling characters and isn't afraid to delve into a magical culture very different from our own- which makes for a fun opportunity to discuss societal norms (if you're reading this with one of your teens and love good prompts), since Elysian's society is more antiquated in nature. It's an excellent coming of age story for older teens, and I'll be highly anticipating its sequel!!

I instantly fell in love with this book. I picked it up and I could not put it down. S.A. Moyer immediately capture your attention and leaves you on the edge of your seat waiting for little bits and piece of information throughout the story to put the pieces together. The characters and lands are so descriptive that it’s easy to envision yourself in Maeve’s shoes. Impatiently waiting for the next book🖤 don’t sleep on this story! Get your copy now!

This book intrigued me, captivated me, intertwined me in the plot. And then promptly attacked my feelings. S.A. Moyer perfectly executed a whimsical high stakes fantasy with a word that feels very similar to Narnia, and lyrical writing similar to Lewis as well.

Highly recommend!
