The Middleton sisters are starting a new life in Rojo, Texas, far away from the shared unhappiness of a childhood spent with an uncaring father. It’s time to explore the world and find their way together. After months of hard work getting it started, the business partnership with her sister Tansy is everything she dreamed it would be, but that’s not the only thing that’s changing in Darcy’s life. On the wrong path after years of blunders and errors in judgment that she can’t or doesn’t want to acknowledge, Darcy almost fell victim to a crime that happens way too often when alcohol is involved. Luckily, she was rescued by a handsome stranger who had nothing but good intentions and a long history of taking care of people who needed him.
That was the wake-up call she needed to make some very necessary changes. Her first order of business was to work on herself with the help of her family and the new friends she’d made in Rojo. Through it all, the gallant stranger whom she can only remember bits and pieces of isn’t far from her mind, so when he walks into her shop and needs her help, she’s more than happy to oblige.
What she didn’t plan to do was give him her heart, but love laughs in the face of the best-laid plans. Darcy will have to decide what’s more important - the vow she made to herself or the bright, fulfilling future she could have if she just gave him a chance.
Caring for those in need comes naturally to Crow Forrester - whether it’s his brother’s girl and their son, his little sister’s childhood friend, or vulnerable puppies needing love and care to survive, you can count on him to step up. When he rescued a woman from a situation that could have gone horribly wrong, he didn’t ask for recognition or credit. As a matter of fact, he didn’t even give her his name.
But in a town as small as Rojo, running into her again was bound to happen - just like the love story that followed. It’s a modern-day fairy tale, complete with a villain, a princess, and, if fate allows, a stepmother who turns out to be not so wicked after all.
Join Cee Bowerman back in Rojo as she unravels this heartfelt romance, finally giving one of the most beloved Forresters the happy ending he deserves, while also bringing us back to the friends and family we’ve all come to adore.
I cannot love a family more than I love the Forrestors. This crazy family makes me laugh every time. I want to be cousins or even neighbors with the whole insane bunch. Crow meets his sleeping beauty, Darcy one night when she is drunk at his bar/club. Darcy was too drunk to remember who her Prince Charming was. The two finally connect again and a crazy fast roller coaster ride begins. I loved this book and can't wait for the next book set in the amazing world Cee Bowerman has created.
Before I begin my review, I wanted to let Mrs. Bowerman know that I'm truly sorry for the loss of your friend. He seemed like an amazing person, and a wonderful friend. The letter you shared was very beautiful.
An intriguing story with terrific characters, lots of humor, drama, and unexpected twists that will hook you from beginning to end. I love reading about the second generation! They're almost as awesome as the original crew was. Lol!! I'm still getting a bit confused when the younger generation refers to older ones by their nicknames, which of course is normal for them to do. Unfortunately, there were sooo many kids born around the same time frame that it's difficult to keep them all straight! It would be extremely helpful if there was a brief recap of the immediate families of the main characters in that particular book ~ like a short list of the lead male's/female's parents/siblings/etc., or whoever would be the most relevant in that story. JMO! I can't wait for more stories from this series! I would definitely recommend this book, series, and exceptional author.
You know it’s going to be one heck of a book when the author’s note in the beginning makes you cry. Ack. I love you Cee Bowerman. I can feel the love in every word you write. Knowing you have a book coming out is always a bright spot to look forward to. All my love to you and yours - every little bit of it. You feel like family - and so does everyone in your books.
What’s not to love about Crow? He captured my heart when I first met him as a little naked boy! So funny that he still hates clothes. He grew into such an amazing man - a real Prince Charming. The way they met initially. That song. Life changing in so many ways. I love getting to know Darcy. Theirs is such a sweet love story. With all the fun, laughter and sarcasm of a Cee Bowerman story. I always say it can’t get better - and then the next book comes along to prove me wrong. 💜💜💜
From how this one started out, things could have turned out so bad for Darcy, she was lucky that Crow was clued into what was going on and he stepped in to help her. The whole situation was the wake up call that Darcy needed to make some changes, yet that resolve almost made her miss out on a good thing. I liked that Crow took Darcy's word and figured out a way to still stay in her life as a friend, hoping she would change her mind. It did stun me a bit what it took for Darcy to change her mind and then how things went into overdrive for them. It seemed over the top and that is saying something with this crew, but it also made sense and worked out well for them. It was great to see how things ended up for this couple!
We finally got Crow!!!! Cee I loved his story, it was worth every bit of the wait. The author note at the beginning had me crying, and I get our wait now. Take a trip to Rojo to visit one of our favorite families. Crow Forrester is a selfless family man running the Glass Slipper. Darcy is opening her grooming doggy day care. A chance meeting taking a drunk girl home.... A great read. I couldn't put it down...now I'm ready for the next one.... the wedding of the century 😍
Finally We have Crow's book and oh man it did not disappoint. Their relationship is one of my absolute favorites so far. Crow's nurturing behavior and Darcy's all in feet first nature really makes them work together so well. Especially surrounding the life as a Forrester. This book is so full of family, love, memories, Sarcasm, sexytime....... The whole package. And lets not forget the kids, anytime Koda and Griff make an appearance they bring the laughs.
Crow has been highly anticipated for a long time and didn't disappoint it was fantastic. Darcy didn't blink and eye at Crow’s relationship with Griffin or Brighten. When Rev entered the picture, she just rolled with that also. It takes a special woman to accept the rolls that Crow has taken on with children, not biologically his. The Forrester clan is just what Darcy has needed all her life. This family just sucks you in, and you just love all the crazy.
I have said it before Cee Bowerman is my fav author . I want to live in Rojo so much. It is like a slice of comic heaven. The 2nd gen are awesome. I couldn't wait for Croe to get his HEA. It didn't disappoint. They are funny and romantic and crazy bunch. I will never get enough of them. I will read several books then I have to go back to Rojo. This was an awesome booking we got to spend time with some of my fans.
No plot spoilers, no potential triggers. Another visit to Rojo Texas but this time it's for my favourite streaker Crow. Romance? Check ✔ Laughter? Check ✔ HEA? Check ✔ I adore just about anything Cee Bowerman writes and she is an automatic purchase for me. I seriously recommend reading her Rojo series starting from the very beginning. I have only one niggle and that's what happened with the father? Left us hanging there Is Bowerman!
I love this series and was looking forward to Crow’s story. Unfortunately, it fell flat. Unless you have read previous books you won’t understand Darcy’s history with her father. I didn’t think there was much of story. Because Crow is always looking after others I was hoping he would find someone who would do the same for him. Basically the story is that she swore off men and he convinced her to give him a chance.
Loved the story from the very beginning even before they knew names or each other. Sweet story with some heartache in there along with blue balls buildup with the woman version too!! Adorable puppies and wild kids and a lot of Forresters and their family. Good times!! Cee Bowerman rocked one out again! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
This was a beautifully written story and Cee's letter to Carl had me in tears before a chapter was read. The author has perfected her skill of storytelling and she is flawless in her delivery. The Forresters are my favorite clan and revisiting the other characters was a hoot. Summer and Bird are the best. This is a five star must read. Peace out!🎃
I really loved Crow and Darcy ‘s story. I enjoyed reading/seeing their story unfold. Seeing Bird and Kale and all the other Kings was a bonus. Cee Bowerman, Crow was definitely worth waiting for and you did an excellent job on his story! Looking forward to who’s next!
I knew Crow's story would make me ugly cry, I was not expecting to ugly cry at the author's note!!!! Crow was everything sweet Darcy needed, but didn't think she deserved. Crow is such an awesome man, and I'm so glad he found an amazing woman who accepts his relationship with Brighten and Griffinn without jealousy!!!!
This book will make you cry, laugh and fall in love
Cee Bowerman out did herself with Crow and Darcy. Crow is definitely the man who takes a drunk girl home and Darcy finds him when she is trying to find herself. I love the cliff hanger at the end and cannot wait for Tansy’s book and to see what they do to their father.
As much as I loved Crow and Darcy this book wasn't as good as some of the others. But I loved their story. I remember when I ready the book about Summer and Bird and her boys constantly stripping. So it was fun to read about Crow who still hates clothes. And Revna is going to be a menace just like the rest of the Forrester kids and I cannot wait!!
Its great to see all the first generation kids all grown up and learn about their lives. The ups and downs of Crows and Darceys romance gives you laughs, awe and cheers. All the older generation make a appearance to help and hinder. The books from this author are always so compelling you have a hard time putting them down once you start.
This book made me so happy! I swear Cee gets better and better. Crow and Darcy are a great couple, the kids are hilarious and the love feels so real. It’s so great to check in on my friends in Rojo again. I love spending time there, it’s always over too soon though. Until next time.
I didn't know I could love a character or characters so much! It was funny, and dramatic just enough, I love the way you incorporate all the family, and give voices to the littles, this is definitely one of my favs!!! Congratulations on another great book!
I love reading about the families of Rojo, TX. The Forrester clan has to be one if my favorite families. Especially the bird brain boys. Lol! Crow and Darcy's story is one for the books. Griffin is getting more and more diabolical. This little community neighborhood is getting bigger and I can't wait for more. On to the next adventure!😉💚💙
Gee Boardman has become one of my favorite authors! I crack a laugh all through her books. Crow and Darcys story is beautiful and heartwarming. Taking in a child that has lived through so much trauma before turning 2 is a big step in the way the characters are understood. Their love for each other encompasses and overrides any adversity or events in life!
I feel as though I'm redundant!🤔 I can only give 5 star reviews for Ms Cee's books! It's not because she is my favorite author!, it's because her storytelling gets me every time!😍 I feel all the emotions the characters feel, so she's either a 5 star author or I need to get a life😂! Probably a little bit of both!
I'm so happy to be back in Rojo!! It's like spending time with your fave aunts & uncles! I love every single person in this series! I wish I could live in Rojo & spend my days with the Forrester clan. This book was perfection ! The love and laughter plus the sass & spice - just makes you crave more!
So worth the wait Crow was awesome!! Him and Dracy made the perfect couple. Griffin is going to be a sweetie. Love love how all the family are with each other can't wait for the next one
Finally, we got Crow’s book 🥰 And totally worth the wait. Loved Darcy, she felt like the perfect match for Crow. I know that there were some Easter eggs for upcoming books and im here for it.
I will never tire of the Rojo families. Crow and Darcy were great together. There is one Middleton sister left what's next? The wedding of the year can't wait!!!!!
Love the entire Rojo clan. If I could live in that head of yours Cee, I'd be one happy lady!! Happy the Crow has gotten his happy! These 2 are the cutest ever. But I'd love to know what happens what her father and step monster
Crow finally got his HEA. Plus it was with a hilarious Middleton sister, Darcy. Each time I return to Rojo, I can't stop smiling. Each boook truly lifts my spirits. Makes me laugh, smile and escape. Can't very enough of this big found family.
Another great read by Cee! Absolutely loved the relationship throughout the book. The humor from the family(side characters) was terrific. Can't wait for the next one.
