As the clumsiest bondless apprentice in the Academy’s history, Aeris Velmara is perfect for a suicide mission.
Breaking the legendary assassin Drakena of Virelmar out of a maximum-security prison, and convincing her to venture into the Cursed Northern Mountains, should be impossible. But for someone shunned by magical creatures since childhood, the impossible is just another day of humiliation.
What Aeris didn’t expect was the bond.
Or the visions of extinct dragons.
Or to fall in love with the most dangerous woman on the continent.
Because Drakena keeps secrets the Steel Council would kill to silence forever, and in the mountains something awaits that should not exist.
Something the entire world is willing to kill them for.
Now Aeris must protect the comfortable lie she’s always been told or risk everything for a truth that could set the world ablaze. Because when the last dragon wakes, even love may not be enough to stop what’s coming.
I find the plot compelling, and I like the characters, but the relationship building is disjointed. Like how have they slept together like 4x and one is still saying “idk… I still think she’s the psycho monster I was told she was”

Wow fantastic storyline, I loved the main characters their connection was embedded beautifully throughout the story, the raw emotions felt by both of them were incredible making you feel it too a must-read congratulations
This is the first book from this author that I have read and it won't be the last. I really enjoyed the story, the characters and everything else. Great read. I'm definitely going to read the authors other books!
This was a great book I couldn’t put it down. I stayed up so late into the night and then up early in the morning to continue reading. I love the characters in the story. I’m ready for more books by this author. I’m already looking.
My first book from this author. It really good. A great romance and adventure story with excellent world building and well developed characters. Highly recommended.
Yep, yeah, yes please. This was a really good read for me. Well written throughout, from the characters to the setting, written to pull you in. Paced to keep the pages flying by, please let the next book find me soon.
