A festival of light. A night of blood. A god cloaked in shadow.
Elara has always resisted the life expected of a sun-elf. Fierce, independent, and quick-tongued, she longs for more than her village's traditions and the worship of distant gods. But when the annual solar festival turns into a massacre, her rebellion means little. The Eclipse God descends, leaving destruction in his wake and shattering everything she thought she knew.
Among the ashes, Elara is left with nothing but grief-and responsibility. The children of her village look to her for survival, even as she is forced into a fragile alliance with a stranger who claims to serve the very god who destroyed her world. His presence is both infuriating and magnetic, and Elara must decide whether he is her enemy, her protector, or something far more dangerous.
As secrets unravel and the gods themselves begin to stir, Elara is caught in a struggle between light and shadow, loyalty and betrayal, love and survival. Her choices will shape not only her own fate, but the fate of a world balanced on the edge of ruin.
Eclipsed is the breathtaking first book in The Eclipsed Series, a romantasy saga of divine intrigue, slow-burn romance, and morally gray gods. Perfect for fans of Sarah J. Maas, Rebecca Yarros, and Carissa Broadbent, this debut blends lush worldbuilding, forbidden love, and the dangerous pull of enemies-to-lovers tension.
Enter a world where gods walk among mortals, nothing is as it seems, and even in the darkest night, light still fights to break through.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 🌶🌶🌶 Great book from a debut author! I loved the character growth and story that we were given! We meet Elara who is thrust into a huge change in her life, and meet multiple gods that all have their complexes and problems.
My only hold up on stars was that I think some parts were missed or rushed. Initially there were multiple kids, then only 3 were mentioned for awhile. Closer to the end more were back again, so I was just a little confused and thought I had lost my mind for a little bit. 😅
K Murphy gave us a great book otherwise with a good storyline and a slow burn romance, I can't wait for the next book in this series to see where she takes us next!
I was completely drawn into the world of Solavend. The vivid imagery of the eclipse and its aftermath is stunning. Elara’s courage and struggle feel real and compelling. The interplay between power, fate, and choice is masterfully handled. A dark, unforgettable fantasy that keeps you turning the pages.
This book is good. My main issue with it was the daily life chatty parts. If you like books with emphasis on day to day life, then this is the book for you! Check out my review on my blog!
This book is really an emotional roller coaster. The world building is done well without being overwhelming, and Elara's character development throughout the story is so good. It is a slow burn but worth every second!
