I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. The ending!! It was amazing. Unfortunately it wasn’t quite a 5 star for me a few things did take me out of the story. It was just small issues with the writing. I did write a list so I didn’t have to write a whole paragraph on each.
- Augusta needs to be worked on more. She just seems off
- The relationships with the friends need to be more dimensional
- The cat funeral scene needs more building upon seems chunky and sudden
- Sometimes the author will add info about characters that we probably didn’t need to know as we are in the man characters head not theirs “She did this when she was nervous” this was about Augusta. But the main character only knew Augusta for like a day. This didn’t make sense.
What I did like:
- Ophelia
- The ending?!
- the quotes that were used
- the meanings in some paragraphs
- lesbian love.
- found family
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Do recommend for people who love lesbian vampires.
