Desperate times call for desperate measures. Even if that means pretending to be a pet.Jasper’s life has hit rock bottom. No job, no home, and exactly $21.60 to his name. When he reads an article about urban foxes mimicking cats to get fed by humans, inspiration strikes. He’ll shift into his fox form, find a kindhearted animal lover, and coast on kibble until he gets back on his feet.
Easy, right?
Wrong.
Because the sweet old lady who takes him in already has a cat. A curvy, sharp-tongued, absolutely gorgeous cat who also happens to be a shifter. And Tabitha is not happy about sharing her territory—or her inheritance—with some scruffy interloper.
What starts as a battle for the best sunny spot on the couch quickly becomes something far more intense. The kind of tension that has little to do with territory and everything to do with the way she looks in human form. The kind that makes him forget this was supposed to be temporary.
Now they’re stuck playing house. Playing pets. And trying desperately not to fall for each other.
But some strays are harder to house-train than others…
A steamy, laugh-out-loud paranormal romantic comedy about fake pets, real feelings, and finding home in the most unexpected places.

Tabitha and Jasper are total chaos together, and watching their instant rivalry play out was fun. They both had a similar idea about being adopted as shifters, which just makes things even wilder. It’s a super quick, easy read you can totally finish it in one sitting. And honestly, Bea, their adopter, totally stole the show for me.

Jasper has a bunch of things happen that change his life and makes him come up with a plan that is just plain crazy. Since he is a fox shifter and he sees an article that foxes are starting to mimic cats for food, etc., he decides to shift and get in on the action. However, the woman he chooses, already has a pet cat. Instantly, both the cat and the fox, who are both shifters and realize the other is one, makes them cranky and competitive. While Whiskers is the name that Bea calls the cat, her real name is Tabitha. Tabitha makes sure that since Bea can’t hear well and her eyes aren’t as good as they used to be, that some of the household chores are done whenever Bea goes out. Learning about Tabitha’s past made me want to hug her. And Bea, and Jasper. What happens next is crazy and hilarious. One, both can hear each other in their mind- uh oh, are they fated mates?
So begins a competition and one up manship continuous episode between the shifters. They also fight. Bea won’t stand for that, and lectures both. The book made me laugh to the point of stomach pain. lol. The books is crazy fun, funny, sweet, romantic, crazy, mind boggling antics, and steamy too. I love Bea.
I adore the end of the book. Bea is a riot. I just love her and want to see another book about this family. lol.

What a sly fox Jasper is. This is an incredibly fun read. Jasper is a down on his luck fox shifter. He is broke, homeless, jobless and carless. After reading an article About faxes mimicking cats he decides to give it a try. Tabitha is a tabby cat shifter and has been with Bea for the last two years as her pet. When Jasper appears she goes feral. No other shifter should intrude on her territory. Bea is a lonely widow who never had children. She only has her bridge club and her loyal cat companion. Boy is her life fixing to change. This such a delight to read. The banter between Tabitha and Jasper is hilarious. Turns out these two are mates and are either arguing or mating when Bea isn’t around. What happens when Bea walks into her home and instead of her pets she finds a naked man and woman. This is a story about found family. All three characters are lonely in their own way. They find comfort and acceptance in each other. This is a beautiful and hilarious read just in time for the holidays. Kudos Megan Wade on another great story.

PURRFECTLY OUTFOXED is a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, fated mates, curvy cat shifter gets her fox shifter Halloween romance. This was such a fun and spicy read. Tabitha is a curvy cat shifter who lives with Bea. Jasper, a hunky fox shifter down on his luck. He sees Bea in a pet store and follows her home, hoping for a place to stay for a few days. He is shocked to find the sassy and feisty Tabitha, who feels threatened by him already living there. She’s also protective of Bea. Jasper knows Tabitha is his fated mate, can he get her on board? The banter was hysterical. The chemistry was pure fire, and the ending was so happy. I loved how they all became a true family. Bea was just the sweetest. I could not stop laughing while reading this one. I loved it.
Purrfectly Outfoxed is a sweet, funny and spicy shifter romance with a Halloween theme. Tabitha, aka Whiskers, is a cat shifter who has a perfect life. She is looked after very well by Bea, her sweet old lady human caretaker. Jasper is a fox shifter who's life has been turned upside down and he is left with no home and no money. He decides to try and pass as a cat so he can get a human to look after him. The thing is that it is Bea who takes pity on him and not only feeds him but lets him into the house. A battle quickly ensues between Tabitha and Jasper as she is territorial and he is determined not to be pushed out. There is fine line between love and hate and these two are about to discover it is hard to decipher which side you are on.
A delightfully fun read - Hiding in a little old lady's home as her pet isn't the life Jasper or Tabitha envisioned, but c'est la vie. But cat shifter Tabitha's not going to let foxy Jasper mess up her good thing. Even if he does make her tingle in her naughty places, make her want him. Her scent drives him wild, his cunning nature driving him to tease her mercilessly until they are entangled in the most delicious of ways. A steamy little number that is sure to please, with great characters who form the oddest little family. And Jasper and Tabitha in their little pet costumes...🥰. Bea's a wily one.

Jasper is one hungry and desperate fox shifter. When he realises he could be a pet, he looks and finds owner. One problem the lovely lady Bea who takes him has a pet already. A cat and not your normal cat it is a female cat shifter. The first time meeting is not one of welcome. Let’s say chaos and rivalry is off the charts. But fate and fated mates makes these two fighting shifters fighting for different reasons. Oh Bea loved her and when she comes home early was brilliant.
Humour, rivalries, steam and family.

I haven’t laughed this much reading a book in quite some time. The story is a delightful mix of witty repartee, close calls, opportunism and found family. It’s a quick, fun bit of escapism with a twist on shifter tropes that was clever and engaging. I highly recommend this book, though if you’re looking for angst-laden shifter drama with super powers and a never ending story, this is probably not your cup of tea. I hope the author continues along entertaining and refreshing vein and creates an entire series. I’m still smiling, even after reworking this review multiple times so I don’t sound sycophantic.
This book was so good I devoured it in one sitting. I have to say their idea of getting adopted as a shifter is pure genius. Jasper is down on his luck and tries to find a solution, but the only problem is he runs headfirst into Tabitha. They are instant enemies and the banter between them is hilarious. This book truly has it all: the perfect pet humor, sweet old ladies, and some seriously hot, steamy moments.

Jasper is a down on his luck fox shifter and that's when he tries to get rescued by a nice old lady. But when he arrives there he finds out he is not the only shifter living there. Tabitha never wanted to stay long With the old lady Bea, but now two years later she just can't vanish. Jasper and Tabitha are fated mates but are at first enemies. But the mate bond wants the mate bond gets 😉 Instalove, PNR, sweet, shifter romance, romantic, fun banter , with steamy scenes and with a sweet HEA at the end 😍😍
This book had so many good things. Dual POV, shifters moonlighting as pets to avoid starving/houslessness, banter, bit of spice, and lots of laughs. I enjoyed how Jasper and Tabitha's first meeting went, and loved the subsequent frame job she pulled later. But my favourite part was probably their first Halloween with Bea. This is my second or third book by this author, and definitely won't be my last.
I wasn't sure what to expect from this and I found it to be sweet, funny, romantic and heartwarming. I liked that it was slightly different from other Shifter romances I have read before. I felt a connection to both Tabitha and Jasper, I believed in their connection and chemistry and enjoyed their banter and courtship. I really loved the connection they had with Bea and what that brought into their lives.

This story was so ridiculous and over the top but was also adorably sweet and cute. Bea reminded me of my grandma as she was the crazy cat lady of her neighborhood would have totally have taken in a stray fox without batting an eye. Getting to read a story that had me laughing and sighing over their love story while getting great reminders of my grandma totally made my day purrfect!.

I liked Bea accepted Jasper and Tabitha even if she insisted on some changes which are accepted. They all make a great found family.
This was a really cute fated mates romance. I have never read any story like this in my life, it was so humorous and completely over the top but I couldn’t help loving it. Tabitha and Jasper were such a wonderful couple and I just couldn’t get enough of their story.

This is a sweet, fun shifter romance with a unique storyline twist. Tabitha and Jasper's interactions are hilarious, and I laughed out loud so much. Great writing, humor, crazy fun banter, and Bea was the cherry on top, making this a 5-star read. Purrfectly Outfoxed is a fabulously fun read. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
This was the most unique shifter fated mate story . They pretend to be the stray pets of a lonely widow, who is just too smart and saavy. What grows is love and family no one expected.
This story was so much fun to read. I laughed so much.. out loud, which is honestly something I don't do all that often while reading. I don’t think I stopped giggling until the very end. Jasper and Tabitha have such a fun, sweet and spicy romance.
The author has given us a fast-paced story that pulls us into the lives of shifters, Tabitha and Jasper. The hilarious story keeps us turning the pages with connection, bickering, competition and steam.

This story is perfect with the season, Jasper and Tabitha two shifters who by coincidence of fate ended up living together, but in that covivience that began hostile became a strong attraction between the two. This reading will make you laugh and enjoy every chapter until the end.
Very adorable quick read with low spice. I honestly would've given it five stars had it not been for the last chapter/epilogue. I'm just tired of reading books where the happy endings are tied to having kids. However, besides that, it was a cute read with comedy and heart.
I loved Purrfectly Outfoxed by Megan Wade! It’s about a cat shifter who’s living as a lonely widow’s pet. She starts out as needing shelter and stays to look out for the woman.
When Bea “rescues” a hungry, scruffy fox, Tabitha is furious. She knows Jasper is a shifter, too, and he’s not welcome in her home. Once she finds out that he’s not there to scam Bea, they become friends… and then, so much more.
A funny, steamy, unique novella that causes laughing out loud, with a perfect happy ending.
