All it took was one night and I knew I wanted Finn Kinsella to be mine. We were young and in love despite our family’s objections. When he decided to leave the haunted memories of his past behind, I went with him.
We landed on our feet and right at the doors of the Rebels of the Dead MC. Life changed instantly and our relationship was put to the test. But when it comes to club life, club girls, rules, expectations of the brotherhood, I never stood a chance of being what Finn needed. In one night he broke my heart and crushed my trust in him.
Five years later, thanks to an alliance and unforeseen circumstances, I’m brought back to the one place I never wanted to be at again. The MC I once called home is opening up its doors to me and offering protection. The caveat…Dodger will be in charge of my personal security. The second his electric blue eyes meet mine, angry, and full of too much heat, sparks fly. Except I’m not the woman who left here with a shattered heart and bleak outlook on love. And there is no longer a place in my life for a biker who breaks his promises as easily as the law.
Finn When our allies asked us to protect their boss’s greatest asset, I did not expect them to hand over Winnie. For the past five years I’ve been searching for her after she snuck out of our bed in the middle of the night. I’m angry and devastated that she left when all I’ve ever wanted was to be good enough for her.
Given a second chance to see her again, I won’t make the same mistakes. My club president is being asked to keep Winnie safe, and I intend to do just that. Except Winnie doesn’t come quietly and her defiance only further ignites the flames of my obsession.
She’s determined to keep her walls up. I’m determined to make her mine forever.
Danger is lurking around every corner threatening to keep us apart. This time I’ll fight for her, for us, and prove once and for all that I am the man she needs. I’ll be the place her heart finds solace.
3.5 stars. I definitely liked this better than the first book. I would definitely classify this as MC lite. There's cheating mentioned in the tws, but to me, a forced unwanted kiss that the H was disgusted by does not equal cheating in my eyes. Authors do better. Please know the difference between assault and cheating. I'm really getting tired of it. Not only that, the H goes straight home and tells her about it. Anyways, so we met the H Dodger/Monk aka Finn in Warrior the first book in this series. We knew in that book that Finn was down about a woman who left him. The story in and of itself was cute, but no 18 year old boy talks the way he did during the beginning of their relationship 😂. The h Winnie was annoying at first. Her goodie, innocent vibe, with tears in her eyes always irritated me but she got better. Once Finn and Winnie leave their homes at 18 to live with Finn's cousin in a MC club we get five of their years together during that time. Finn starts pulling away and putting the club first. Then something happens and he's unable to move on quickly. While pushing Winnie away. The club catches on and they start treating her the same. Until everything escalates and she leaves. 5 years separation until the MC is hired to watch a mafia asset that ends up being her. Without getting into too much detail she became the target of a psycho mafia man after she saved his life. She's an ER nurse. Anyways, we have our reunion and the book started to go downhill for me unfortunately.
Overall it was ok. No cheating in my eyes, and the MMCs have been smitten with each other since they were 17. During the separation the H was unable to move on and was looking for Winnie the whole time. He had no desire to be with anyone and remained celibate until they were reunited. Hence why everyone started calling him Monk. The h while in captivity was forced to have sex with the Mafia boss due to coercion from the boss threatening to kill people in front of her if she did no obey. No details are given and there are only intimate scenes between the MMCs Finn and Winnie.

It seems like every book in this series is going to make me cry, and I’m okay with that. Solace was very different from what I expected, and I really liked the way Ashton Brooks told Win & Finn’s story, I suffered with their struggles, BUT I loved how the plot made me feel right there with them, and that’s why I enjoyed it so much more.
I think Winnie is my favorite character by this author! I LOVED reading about her growth throughout the book, how those little moments of rebellion in her teens led her to be the bravest when things got tough with Finn and how she opened up to him about everything she went through alone in their past It was also beautiful to read about her achieving her dreams AND putting herself before anyone else.
I had mixed feelings about Finn: I LOVED his teenage heartbroken self and how hopelessly in love with Winnie he is, doing everything to be with her and make her happy, and I understand that what he went through in the MCU made him feel inadequate, BUT I couldn’t help but hate the way he handled things, and how he broke Winnie’s heart in the process. Obviously, I also loved the Finn of the present, mature, aware of his mistakes, and willing to do anything to win back the woman of his life.
One of the things I enjoyed most about this book was reading about how Winnie and Finn’s love story began, everything they overcame to be together, the dreams they shared, and how all of that wasn’t enough for them to be happy. And because I loved them so much, it broke my heart to read about their suffering, their drifting apart, Finn’s constant mistakes, and I loved Winnie for being strong, setting boundaries, and making things a little difficult for Finn at the end!

Solace (Rebels of the Undead MC Book 2) by Ashton Brooks is a romance about Winnie Carmichael, who comes from a strictly religious family, and Finn Kinsella, whose family is struggling financially due to their indulgences. They met through mutual friends at a county fair, where Finn gave Winnie her first kiss on the Ferris Wheel, sparking the start of their budding romance at age 17. Just before high school graduation, Finn has a falling out with his family, prompting him and Winnie to move to Tennessee, where his cousin is a member of the Undead MC. The MC brothers allow Finn to prospect for membership, and Winnie helps with household chores in the club, though she is mostly treated as an outsider by the “old ladies” and the club hang-arounds. Winnie graduates and attends community college to become a nurse.
She and Finn share many joyful years, and as Finn adopts his new road name, Dodger, they begin to drift apart as long-buried feelings of “not being good enough” resurface in Finn. Finn, hesitant about commitment, refuses to make Winnie his “old lady” and has no plans to marry her. Winnie leaves Finn and moves to Georgia, where she becomes an ER nurse. Over five years, she works her way up to an ER nursing supervisor, where she encounters Marco, the son of a Bianchi mafia boss, who insists that only she can be his caretaker. She agrees to care for a mob patient at his home for six weeks but ends up becoming his prisoner once he recovers. Meanwhile, an alliance between the Bianchi family and the Undead MC left the club tasked with protecting the mafia’s son’s main asset, who turns out to be Winnie. For the first time in five years, Winnie and Finn face each other, with a tangled web of feelings simmering beneath the surface, threatening to spill over. Can Winnie finally escape the Bianchi mafia family’s captivity? Can Winnie and Finn find their way back to each other? Ashton Brooks tugs at the readers’ hearts for Winnie and Finn, yet manages to reunite them, healed with love, as they ultimately find their HEA.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
This is the story of Winnie and Finn. She comes from a deeply religious family. He comes from a financially struggling family because they spend money they don't have on things they don't need. When these two meet at the fair Finn ends up being Winnie's first kiss on the Ferris Wheel at seventeen. But just before graduation he and Winnie move to Tennessee where he has a cousin in the Undead MC and he is going to prospect for them. She will help with keeping the MC clean. However, she is treated like an outsider by the old ladies and the club hang arounds. What a horrible way to be treated and I felt so bad for her. But Winnie is tough an goes on to graduate and attend college to be a nurse. But, while she and Finn are making a good life with each other they soon when he adopts his road name Dodger, begin to drift apart. He has some issues from his past and gives in to those and Winnie is the one who suffers for it at first. But she is not one to take stuff on the chin and moves away to be a Nurse in a ER. She is great at what she does and loves her career and works her way up. Before you know it five years have passed and shes about to meet Marco. He is the son of a mafia boss and will only let Winnie take care of him. However, when she agrees to homecare for him and he recovers she finds herself in a mess she can't get out of. Now the mafia and the Undead are no longer enemies and Winnie finds herself being guarded by the club as she is Marco's main asset. Now can I just say how much I could not stand Marco and my heart hurt for Winnie and Finn to be near each other. Now you have to read and find out what happens, but you are going to love Winnie. Not that I didn't like Finn, but Winnie is the stealer of the show in this book. Gosh I loved that girl and really went through all this with her. This is a really great read.
Solace absolutely wrecked me in the best way and then stitched me back together with grease-stained fingers and bruised devotion.
This is not a soft ride. This is love that bleeds, regrets that ache, and second chances that have to be fought for with teeth and heart. Winnie and Finn’s story grabbed me by the chest and refused to let go. Young love turned to betrayal. A woman who had to harden herself to survive. A man who spent five years drowning in the consequences of one terrible night. The tension between them crackles from the very first page and never lets up.
Winnie is everything. Strong, scarred, stubborn, and done accepting less than she deserves. She doesn’t fold just because Finn wants her back, and I loved her all the more for it. Watching her stand her ground inside an MC world that once broke her felt powerful and raw.
And Finn Kinsella. Oh. Him. This man is regret wrapped in leather and obsession sharpened into purpose. His POV hurts. He doesn’t excuse his past. He owns it. He aches for her. He fights for her. The way he is determined to be her safety this time, her protector, her home, made my chest tight in that delicious, painful way only a well-written redemption arc can.
The MC setting is gritty and dangerous without overshadowing the romance. There’s real tension, real stakes, and that constant feeling that something bad is always just around the corner. The suspense kept me flipping pages like my life depended on it.
This book is about finding peace after devastation. About choosing love again when it feels impossible. About proving that sometimes the place your heart finds solace is the one that once shattered it.
Emotional. Intense. Addictive. Solace is a second-chance MC romance that hits hard and lingers long after the last page. I was fully consumed, and I would absolutely do it all over again. 🖤🔥
Solace by Ashton Brooks is a riveting story of love, loss, and second chances that captivated me from the very first page. The chemistry between Winnie and Finn is electric, igniting a fire that neither can fully extinguish despite the trials they face.
Winnie’s transformation from a heartbroken girl to a strong, independent woman is beautifully crafted. The trauma of her past and her resolve to regain her strength make her a relatable character. The tension is palpable as she navigates the dangerous world of the Rebels of the Dead MC, where her history with Finn adds layers of complexity to both their relationship and the plot.
Finn’s journey is equally compelling. His deep longing for Winnie, coupled with his commitment to protect her at all costs, is both heartbreaking and inspiring. The way Ashton Brooks portrays his inner turmoil and determination makes Finn a standout character who you can’t help but root for.
The writing flows seamlessly, and the dark, gritty atmosphere of the motorcycle club adds an exciting backdrop to their love story. The author expertly balances romance with suspense, leaving me on the edge of my seat. Just when you think you know how it will end, the twists keep you guessing.
Solace is an emotional rollercoaster that beautifully melds passion and danger. Ashton Brooks has delivered a fantastic romance that explores the depths of love, loyalty, and the struggle to overcome the past. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a gripping read!
*Solace* is the second book in the Rebels of the Undead MC series. Finn and Winnie fell in love when they were teenagers, and we see their story unfold from the very beginning. Their journey is filled with ups and downs that become increasingly complicated and heartbreaking over the years. Eventually, Winnie can no longer handle Finn pulling away from her and decides to walk away.
After several years apart, Winnie finds herself in greater danger than ever and feels hopeless. At that moment, Finn and his MC brothers come to her rescue. This time, Finn is determined not to let her go. He wants to make things right and is ready to explain everything he should have told her, rather than distancing himself in the past. Meanwhile, Finn's brothers are committed to making Winnie feel more welcome than she did before.
Finn and Winnie’s second-chance romance is a beautifully slow-burning story. The characters undergo significant emotional growth, becoming more complex and heartfelt. The theme of found family support is prominent, especially for the male main character during the first half of the book, but it shifts to focus on the female main character in the second half. This is due to the growth and understanding that develops between the characters.
I was completely hooked and couldn't put this book down. I can't wait for more from this series!
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
“D3ăth by your hand would be a blessing. I haven’t been truly alive since you left and took my heart with you anyway.”
The first few chapters in the book are told in the pov of when we were teens, and then it's about chapter 18, where we get brought up to the present day. I liked the way the author set it up. I prefer it this way compared to when they do a chapter in the present day and then maybe a chapter or two later switch to events in the past. Finn and Winnie met as teens, and it was pretty much love at first sight. They both come from wealthy families. His family is losing their reputation because of his father. His home life has been rough for a few years now, and he can't wait to graduate and get away from them. Her family is very strict with her and have suffered from a loss in the family. It was the loss in the family that caused the parents to be strict with her. A few years down the road of them being together, they end up going their separate ways. It was not until she left that Finn was reminded of what his priority was, but by then it was too late, she was gone. That is until years later when she comes back into his life, but not how he expected her to. She needs protection, and he will do anything to make sure she is safe. And on the way, he hopes to earn her forgiveness and remind her how good they are together. But she has been through so much and isn't the same girl she used to be. Can she find a way to forgive him?
I received an ARC of Solace in exchange for an honest review, and I’m genuinely glad I was given the opportunity to read it early. Solace pulls you in quickly, with a fast-paced opening that sets the tone from the very first chapter. The story maintains a steady rhythm throughout, making it easy to stay engaged. One of the standout elements for me was the depth given to Finn and Winnie’s backstories, especially their family histories, which added emotional weight and context to their journeys. The writing is descriptive without feeling overwhelming, allowing each scene to feel vivid and immersive. Every chapter felt purposeful and often left me wanting to continue reading. While there is spice, the story leans more heavily on plot and emotional development, which I personally enjoyed. The found family aspect that develops toward the end was especially rewarding, and the character growth in the final third of the book felt natural and well-earned. These elements helped bring the story together in a satisfying way. Overall, Solace was an enjoyable four-star read. While it wasn’t an absolute favorite for me, I’m very happy I had the chance to be an ARC reader for this story and would recommend it to readers who enjoy plot-driven romances with emotional depth.
This is my first Ashton Brooks story and I was so enraptured by this book. So I didn't realise that there was a book previous to this one but it was fine for me I was able to read without feeling I had missed something important. This is a second chance romance between Finn and Winnie, they dated in the past and they were so strong together and then they weren't...The Rebels of The Dead MC Comes between them. There is two very different sides to both characters before and after the break up.I think it makes Finn realise that he didn't treat Winnie right the first time and so he is determined to protect her and essentially win her back. They are not naive and young anymore the growth in both Characters was well developed and I liked how strong Winnie became despite what she went through. I liked Ashton Brook's writng style and how descriptive she wrote scenes and surroundings,it made the story more animated and real. There is plenty of spice, drama, suspense and emotion..I was actually surprised how heart felt and emotional the story was. This certainly won't be my last book that I either read or listen to by Ashton Brooks, because I really enjoyed this one. Amazing 5 Stars.- Cat W.
Winnie and Finn met when they were in high school at the fair. It was an automatic connection, but Finn didn’t want to involve Winnie in his home life so he distanced himself. Soon he realized that wasn’t an option because he liked Winnie so much that he didn’t care.
Winnie and Finn definitely didn’t have it easy with his family’s name and her family’s expectations; they felt like they were constantly trying to be separated.
One night everything changes and they run. They end up at the Rebels of the Dead MC where Finn’s cousin lives and is apart of. They take Winnie and Finn in, but for Winnie it isn’t all that they expect it to be.
When things change again, Winnie leaves and Finn is completely lost without her.
Five years later, fate brings them back together, but not in a way that either of them expect. Now Finn needs to make sure that Winnie is safe and remains that way.
Solace was a great second book in the Rebels of the Undead MC Series. I loved the relationship that Winnie and Finn had in the beginning, but my heart broke for Winnie towards the middle. Everything comes full circle and Finn will do anything and everything he can to protect Winnie and make sure she is his and safe forever.
Ashton!!! I cannot wait for the next book in the series!

Well that was a story that I wont forget anytime soon. It was an emotional rollercoaster that will have you reaching for those tissues on more than one occasion. I quite literally couldn’t put it down.
Solace is a story about a boy and a girl who fall in love and plan to live their lives together, however its not long before cracks begin to grow within their relationship and as time goes on those cracks become wider. Every failed conversation, every run that keeps them apart, every little white lie he tells and every time that he fails to claim her in the eyes of the club despite their years together that crack grows wider eventually creating a chasm filled with angst and betrayal between them that seems impossible to cross.
Will Dodger wake up and realise his constant neglect of his relationship with Willow? Will Willow finally decide enough is enough and finally choose herself? When danger comes will they be able to put their past behind them, to focus on a future together? Will everything be too much, too little, too late for their love?
Solace is a second chance about two people with baggage at home, who meet via mutual friends and eventually begin a teenage relationship. Finn and Winny leave after he has a clash with his family. A move to Tennessee where Finn has family in The Undead MC, and he prospects.
Winnie aspires to become a nurse; she graduates and move to community college. Finn is unable to commit to Winnie, and she leaves for a job in Georgia.
She is a success and moves up in the hospital, only to catch the eye of a patient, a member of the Bianchi family. Eventually this leads to Finn and Winnie to cross paths again.
I was hooked from the first chapter, this is not an easy read, a lot of emotion. Even as Winnie grows with her job and promotions, her stubborn streak keeps her from taking Finn back feeling she deserves more. There is danger, plenty of intensity, passion, loyalty, and the ever present moving on from the past. I am still thinking about the book, long after closing it.
Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.
If you want someone to punch you in the chest, fist your heart and squeeze it into pulp and then tape you back together - well by all means read this book! Very well written, and I really enjoyed the fmc. A little undecided how much I like the mmc, but it was very refreshing that he wasn't a giant d-bag. No cheating, no degradation, etc. The spice is rather wholesome but detailed. It was an interesting concept to show their lives during a 10 year period which was necessary really. My reasoning for a 3 star rating instead of 4 is because (without giving spoilers) I felt like there was a whole lot glossed over that the fmc went through and it just didn't seem to fit, it was just a tiny blip in the story and not really addressed. I feel there could been more put into the ending of the book rather than the beginning. However - if you need a good cry and want to get some emotions out this book will do it for ya!
Solace is Winnie and Finn’s second chance love story and we follow them from a young age as we watch them fall in love and then fall apart. It’s the first book I have read by this author but it won’t be the last because this journey tore me apart before it put me back together again. When Winnie and Finn run away from home because her parents will never accept him they find hope with The Rebels of The Undead MC but its not long before the club comes between them and Winnie leaves. So imagine Finn’s surprise when five years later the club is asked to protect her……. Finn has loved Winnie from the moment he met her and had been searching for her from the moment she left and now she is danger he will do what ever is needed to protect her but will this be their time. Has fate brought them together for a reason. This is a love story that takes you around the block, it’s heartwarming and heartbreaking. The characters are strong and their story has depth.
This is the second book in this impressive series, and this is Winnie and Finn’s story. These two were young and in love, when Finn decided to leave his haunted past behind and leave town, and Winnie went with him. Landing and the Rebels of the Undead MC, life changes drastically, and Winnie leaves believing she cannot be who Finn wants. Five years later, Winnie is in danger, and due to alliances and unforeseen circumstances, she finds herself back where she swore, she would never set foot in again, and Finn / Dodger, has been assigned by the club to protect her. This is a well written emotional roller coaster story, with found family, friendships, heartbreak, danger, suspense, intrigue, anger, action, alliances, close proximity, second chances, revelations, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, small-town romance. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
☑️ For fans of: MC Romance, second chance, found family, she’s in danger
💭 This book starts out with Finn and Winnie meeting as teenagers and falling in love. Eventually, they find themselves involved in a motorcycle club. Watching how their relationship grew and then fell apart was enjoyable, even if the story stayed in the past a bit too long for me. I really felt for Winnie, especially as her perspective on the past is revealed more in the second half. Finn frustrated me a bit, like he needed a smack upside the head. The way club life and the interactions between members and those around them were portrayed felt different from other MC romances I’ve read, and it was interesting to see this author’s take.
Overall, this is one I think might strike a stronger chord for others than it did for me. But it was still a solid read.
📍I was kindly provided an ARC, but my review is honest and completely my own.
Finn and Winnie met when they were 18 years old. Neither had a great family life and when Finn decided to leave home, she went with him. Joining the MC was supposed to be their way forward. Difficulties arose and she left..he was foolish. Lots happen in between and it is emotional in parts. A loving second chance with the dangers of the club against the mafia. The difference being how each regard and treat women. Coming after Winnie puts them at war. I liked most of the characters and storyline, but there were parts that were stretched to illegal. Such as the hospital demands and agreement of her providing nursing homecare , within a dangerous environment, affording no protection. To me, it seemed a little unfinshed because after the demise of the Biancis, there is no reference or recource in regards to the hospital. This was another element of the storyline, it delves into the immoral and sordid side of all factors.
I love how it starts. Perceived bad boy and overprotected daughter get together. How to be young again and in love. They left their town together because they believed in their love. Life goes by quickly with each of them having their own set of problems and situations. Somewhere a long the way they lose sight of one another and the love that they have. Winnie becomes a strong female character and when she meets Finn again, it was so emotional to see the reunion between the 2. You feel so much for the both of them hoping they forgive each other. Finn loving Winnie so much, but not seeing that Winnie loves him just as much. He was so afraid of losing her that he made decisions that end up doing just that. I love the whole second chance love and learning from your mistakes. Winnie and Finn was such a sweet love story from the very beginning and it ended just as sweet.
We follow Winnie and Finn from the very beginning, they're young, we watch them fall in love and defying Win's parents by running away together. They get support from Finn's cousin, who is a part of the Rebels of the Undead MC's in TN. Finn decides to become a prospect & join. Winnie supports but it's not the best situation. Slowly but surely things take a turn & fast forward years later, Winnie has a new life away from Finn, she's become a nurse, things take another turn, and she becomes captive by a crazed Mafia thug and the MC's are hired to be a safe house for her. But Finn has no idea it's Winnie. Crazy right?
Finn has never moved on, has tried to find her for years and here she is back again. He won't let her go this time. Will they make things work this time around? Read & find out!
𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 – The way in which I squealed with giddy glee on every page from 200 on had me looking like a lunatic in the nail salon. And some books are worth looking like a fool for. I was nervous when this book started and both main characters were only 18. I wasn’t exactly excited to read a MC smut book about teenagers. It didn’t feel comfortable or relatable. But then I laughed at every time jump we took with each chapter and we finally got to an appropriate age to be an MC main character. I loved this story. We were on such a ride from the very beginning of Winnie & Finn being two young kids, in love, and making rash decisions, to them being apart for longer than they were together and still being able to come back to each other in the end. Their love conquered all and it was such a heartwarming story to read.
"Thank you to the Author Agency for the ARC. This is my honest review.
I'm usually not a fan of instalove but for this book, it totally worked! It fit the story and worked in a way that I usually don't see. The story follows Winnie and Finn, high school sweathearts who run away together and join an MC.
This book is part of a series, and while you don't have to read book 1, I think you will enjoy it much more if you have the background from the first book. It was a much darker, grittier, and heartbreaking read than book 1, and I found myself with a knot in my stomach as my heart broke for our FMC multiple times.
I do wish this book was a little bit longer, which is funny because usually, I have the opposite complaint. This was a fun read, and I really enjoyed it. I am looking forward to seeing what comes next from this author. "
I devoured this book! It was so good that I could not stop reading. The nicknames in this book were top tier. The journey from teenagers to adults was beautifully wrote and full of emotion.
Finn “Dodger” is utterly obsessed with his woman, Winnie from the beginning. His past absolutely broke my heart and everything he was dealt at a young age shaped him into the “rough around the edges” man that he became. His possessive, intense love for Winnie never wavered and his commitment stayed true no matter what.
Winnie “Daisy” is wholly committed to Dodger, often times putting him before anything else. Watching these two find each other again in such a raw, emotional way was beautiful. Her strength grew so much that I couldn’t help but admire how bada$$ she was. Her and Dodger were amazing together and loved each other with everything they had
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I’m usually not the biggest fan of insta-love but it somehow worked perfectly for this book. Finn and Winnie’s chemistry is off the charts. I loved watching them fall in love. They run away together and end up getting support from Finn’s cousin who is in a motorcycle club. Finn decides to prospect and I love the way Winnie supports him through it all. Now this is where I really started to not like Finn. I hated that Finn starts pushing Winnie away. I seriously wanted to slap him. They lose sight of each other and the love that they share. Winnie leaves and becomes a nurse and makes a life for herself. Then a twist happens and I will say I was able to guess what was going to happen but honestly it didn’t make it any less anxious and exciting. When Winnie and Finn find their way back to each other it was so emotional. I love that Winnie makes him work to win her back. I loved seeing how much she grew throughout this book. Overall this was a fun yet emotional ride that I really enjoyed.
I started this at midnight, straight after finishing book one, and next minute it was 5am and I’d finished the book.
This book was paaaainful. The relationship between Finn and Winnie was a rollercoaster and I felt so bad for both of them when it imploded.
I loved how hard Finn fought for her when she came back into his life. He never blamed her and accepted the mess he’d made of it all. Hindsight is a b!tch.
I’m enjoying the surrounding cast that is the MC. They’re clearly a found family, and they’re loyal af * also enjoyed the suspenseful storyline. I hated what Winnie went through but I loved how strong she was in the face of it, and the way Finn protected her was perfect.
I can’t wait to see which of the brothers falls in love next!
Nobody said that relationships are easy and Finn and Winnie learned this first hand. When they were young, they left their life behind and moved to a new town with Finn becoming a part of the Rebels of the Undead MC. With club life things get crazy, crazy enough that Winnie leaves Finn behind. Now with Winnie’s life threatened Finn has no idea that his club is set to help her and he has no idea at first that its Winnie who he is set to protect. He’ll do anything in his power to to lose the woman he still loves.
I loved how this author made me feel everything this couple had went through with a broken heart and all. Their journey was a rollercoaster ride of emotions. This was a great page turner.
I love Ashton Brooks writing. Even with all the strong emotions from the story I can’t get enough of the storytelling and the amazing characters.
Solace is a small town, motorcycle club, found family second chance romance filled with hope and redemption. I am so glad we got Finn and Winnie’s book! The second I figured out the characters I was immediately hooked. The chemistry is instant and so strong. I really love seeing the growth of these characters from the beginning to end. This book held drama, love, and friendships. This was such a good read!
I can’t wait for more of this motorcycle club and all the characters involved. I am definitely excited for more books from Ashton Brooks. Solace is a book I recommend for all, but do check trigger warnings.
I have never read anything by this author before but this book is so good.
It follows Winnie and Finn through meeting at a young age, running away together, Finn joining an MC, their relationship falling apart when Finn breaks all the promises he made to her and then coming back together after Winnie manages to get herself in a spot of bother, all over the span of 10 years. It’s so cleverly done and the time jumps work really well.
Winnie and Finn are couple goals and despite losing their way for a little while it was easy to feel the love these two had for each other.
I do love me a second chance and this was one of the best ones I’ve read in a while!!

Solace by Ashton Brooks Rebels of the Undead MC book 2 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
OK this is my second book I’ve read by Ashton Brooks and let me tell you she writes a grovelling MMC like NOBODY else! So freaking good! Finn and Winnie dated starting in high school and even though their families were rivals they stayed together through it all. When Finn has enough of his abusive father he asks Winnie to run away with him landing himself as a prospect to a Motorcycle Club. The shit Winnie endured so she could be with Finn was heartbreaking. And the years later the reason for their reunion is even worse. This book was so freaking good! The drama the angst ALL.OF.IT perfection! 🖤😮💨😏
