Read the exciting conclusion to Mads, the second duet in the Cash City Omegaverse series.Do you feel it? This pull between us?Mads has been mistaken for the Pack Soto omega, and lifted off the streets along with Locke, to be taken before the gangster Legs O'Bannon in Salt Port. Mads is a spicy omegaverse romance about staking your claim, reclaiming your agency, and subverting expectations. A satisfying conclusion to a story that has grabbed readers by the throat.
Finallyyyyyy the duet is complete and I am IN LOVE!
I know this just came out so I won’t get into too many details because pretty much everything in this book is a spoiler for book 1, BUT my absolute favorite thing about this duet is how it flows and how the story is structured. We get the build-up and come to the big conflict in the first book while the second book kicks off with the second half of the conflict and resolution. THEN the whole second half of part 2 is straight domesticity and pack bonding (bonding in the “team building” not your traditional OV sense lmao)
For me, this was the perfect structure for a book because we get to know all but one pack member in the first book, then the last member comes in the second book and you spend almost the whole book getting to know her.
I love that this duet brings a bit of a non-traditional spin to the OV. First, we have a beta being kind of the glue that brings the pack together. Mads is the jack of all trades when it comes to meeting his packmates’ needs. He is exactly what each of them needs. Second, we have a pack with two female omegas. Even in this world, it’s pretty much unheard of and I absolutely LOVE the relationship that Cadi and Ro have!
SPOILERS BELOW!!
I didn't give it 5 full stars because Aurora's relationship with a few of the pack members felt off. I wish we could've had more of her and Cadi together to build an actual relationship. I also felt like Aurora's relationship with Oscar was weird. In the first book, Oscar insists on having an age-appropriate omega and doesn't want one super young so it felt out of character for him to be so into Aurora. I kind of just assumed it was because he's the prime but I didn't really care for the maturity difference between the two of them. Aurora is veryyyy much a teenager (19). When Cadi is revealing her idea of starting their own placement center, something that is super emotional and important to her, Aurora chimes in with a comment like "well i'm still going to beauty school..." like read the room dude.
I also felt like the developing relationship with her and Kol was forced. They have disliked each other from the very beginning and them getting together for the purpose of role-playing didn't make sense to me.
All that being said, if you’re a fan of OV I HIGHLY recommend checking out this duet!

To be fair, even though I loved Ondine, and Mads vol1 I was a bit wary about Mads Vol2. Aurora did not have my sympathy going into this story. Which changed drastically after a couple of chapters in.
This was a great and fun read. I loved how the characters developed further and how Shasta made it all make sense. I can't wait for the third story from her in Cash City.
INFORMATION BEFORE REVIEWING: Information about me first to understand my reasoning... I don't like duet books (in general), I am reviewing this book (mads part 2 (book 2)) alongside book 1 (mads part 1(book 1)) As this one review, and I got this book as an ARC. I already reviewed this for the ARC this is my free feelings and slightly raged filled review... You have been warned.
MAIN REVIEW (with "slight" spoilers? / copied from arc review): Book 1 was AMAZING! I got me hooked before reading it (aka the synopsis). I read it knowing it was a duet (an almost impossible task for most writers to get me to do) I read it in less than a day and signed up to get an ARC as soon as I find out I could. Excited was an understatement going into book 2 and I sadly couldn't believe how disappointed I was... I have no idea if it was just me or if others feel this way as the book is as of yet not released outside of the ARC copies. The fist book caught my attention and held it part the ending and proceeded towards book 2 but somewhere around the middle I honestly thought I would end up with a dnf. Without some context (spoilers) of both books I will just say the first books actions and story propelled the story forward. Somewhere in the middle of book 2 the storyline fell flat... (Maybe spoilers?!? Idk I tried) I lost a lot of the actions and the storyline seemed to suffer because of this.
SPOILERS!!!!!! REAL MY FEELINGS HONEST NOT ALWAYS WANTED SPOILERS!!!! DON'T WANT TO KNOW DON'T READ PAST HERE!!!!
SPOILER REVIEW:
The first 3/10 of this book is the rest one book 1.... And then is like an entire 200 page epilogue. The HEA IS GREAT! but the storyline suffers because of it. It's great but after a while I had a very hard time keeping my ADHD brain focused. An epilogue is great... When it not the majority of the book. I was so excited to read this and to find out the first book could have been 100 page more and possibly had an extra epilogue novella if that was more than a little heartbreaking.
I also need to say that Aurora... Made this book 10x worse for me... I'm sorry to say that but it's true (for me only if you loved her that's perfectly ok). She added nothing to the storyline that added anything spectacular. Yes she let Acadia have that other female lover she talks about vaguely in book 1 but otherwise she doesn't add anything really. Take her out and you have a full formed book 1 and a fantastic epilogue and bam full 5 stars and a non saddened me (not a great factor or motivator I know)
Anyway... Simple review.... Book 1 best!... book 2 dnf that I pushed through and an... A..a.. what is a nice way to say this....an omega called Ro.
EXTRA INFORMATION (copied from ARC review): I recommend reading book 1!...
With the knowledge that only if you can handle a cliffhanger or reading book 2 with a possibility of a dnf, or loving the characters, writing, main story enough to push though it, or possibly the main reason to read book 1 it's great and none of what I've said deterred you; as is perfection and you should enjoy this book and book 1 and the greatness It can provide and don't listen to a random ... Way to wordy / long / rambling review... I lost my train of thought...
I also want to say at this point I'm done writing this review and no longer tried to spell check or punctuation things. Ok that's all... Bye bye.
*Total score for this duet is listed in this review as four stars as not to deter people but also to avoid the score this one book didn't reach (in my opinion only) So I put the average for the duet as a whole as four stars
**Scores for book 2 only in relationship to book 1 not other books... Read warnings and read at your own risk.

Thoughts: TLDR; An incredibly moving and gritty story about broken people finding their missing pieces in each other; perfect for fans of Pack Darling and Lola and the Millionaires.
I absolutely adored volume one of this duet and have been so eager to see where Shasta would take this pack in the second volume, especially knowing that this pack wasn’t quite complete yet. While volume one was heavier in pack development and character growth arcs, this volume was jam packed with action, angst, and so many feels!!
The Mads duet is the perfect example of how omegaverse is so unique in its portrayal of found family and polyamory. This pack’s particular character relationships are so enjoyable, and beyond that, deep and emotionally intimate. Of course, the sexy parts are scorching hot, and I loved to see how every relationship was different both in and out of the bedroom.
The thing that I really love about this duet is that there is a well developed beta character that is the key to this pack’s cohesion. Beta characters can be so underrated in omegaverse romance, and even when they are present in the pack, they aren’t always developed to the level that Mads is in this book. I adore the depth the author gave his character. He, and his story, are everything to me. He very well might be my new favorite beta, and he truly is the glue to this entire pack.
Another thing that really stands out for me about this duet is how intricate the threads of fate are in bringing all of these characters together. I love the sneaky and clever ways this pack forms, especially in this volume with the addition of a new character. I will admit I was super nervous about the new packmate and at times, I was even stressed beyond belief, but it all worked out. Even if the new pack member isn’t my favorite, personality wise, she fits.
Definitely recommend this duet to why choose omegaverse readers!!

I actually really liked the first book in this series and was excited to read this one as well. We end the first book right when our Soto pack is finally united, but then Locke and Mads are kidnapped and taken to Legs O’Bannon, Locke’s prior pack leader and overall bad guy. Oh, and Cadi goes into heat, so they cannot go and save them. That part in the beginning was honestly annoying. Like, okay, of course she goes into heat right when they are kidnapped and they literally cannot do anything about it. And Cadi is so affected by her heat that she really cannot process that her pack members have been kidnapped? Hmm. Okay.
This book really leaned heavily on the Omega and Alpha biology, borderline too heavily. There were very stereotypical personalities and actions. It became a little annoying after a bit, so that part I did not like too much. On the other hand, the smut in this book was off the charts.
The introduction of Aurora was so surprising. I really did not see that coming. She was very young and definitely had an omega personality, which the book leaned heavily into. I think I sometimes struggle to read Omegaverse books because of how much they focus on primal instincts and biology. At the end of the day, I am left wondering if the characters actually like each other or what is really going on. It can feel a bit overwhelming and confusing.
However, I did really enjoy reading this book, and I read it quickly. I loved getting to know all the characters and the side relationships, how everyone opens up to each other, starts to trust one another, and moves toward their happily ever after. I was a little disappointed that we never fully got a whole Pack Soto scene together, but I think that might just be me. We definitely got plenty of spicy scenes, so do not worry. I also think the conflict surrounding Aurora’s situation ended a little too neatly. There is no way everything just disappeared and nothing ever happened again, right? But oh well. It was satisfying to know that all the conflicts were resolved and everyone could live their happily ever after.
Overall, this was a quick, spicy read in the Omegaverse where we really dive into the various relationships within Pack Soto and how their worlds come together.
A spicy Omegaverse romp with heart, pack feels, and teeth — Mads: Vol. 2 — A Cash City Omegaverse Story by Shasta De Leon wraps up the Soto pack’s journey with plenty of heat and found‑family vibes. This second part picks up right where the first left you hanging — Mads and Locke are in the clutches of Legs O’Bannon, hot on the heels of plot threads that had me turning pages faster than an omega in rut can drool over attention. There were moments early on (cough, endless heat timing) that tested my patience — like, yes, Cadi’s literally incapacitated right when rescue ops are needed — but once the plot revved up, it was a satisfying wild ride. The book dives hard into Omegaverse biology and instincts — sometimes to a fault. Primal motivations and stereotypical Alpha/Omega tropes are everywhere, and if you blink you might wonder “do these characters actually like one another or are they just driven by pheromones?” Still, the author writes these intense dynamics with a kind of gleeful chaos that, once you’re in the rhythm, is fun in its own unhinged way. My favorite part? The cast. Aurora was a genuinely surprising and beautifully written addition — needy, young, and utterly herself — and her chemistry with Cadi crackled in every scene they shared. I wanted more of that. Mads himself continues to be one of the most endearing and compelling book boyfriends of the year — tender, flawed, and growing into his skin after trauma in ways that made my reader heart do a little dance. The pack dynamics are layered and, at their best, feel like a found family that genuinely feels like home. Stylistically, the book balances steam and plot better than most Omegaverse entries I’ve read; when the smut hits, it hits — and when the stakes lift, the emotional beats land… even if some resolutions felt a touch neat for how messy everything was just chapters before. The writing isn’t Shakespeare, but it gets the genre and doesn’t apologize for leaning into the wild, knotty fun of it all. If you’re craving spicy poly romance with pack politics, heartfelt growth, and a cast that feels fun to spend time with, this delivers. It’s not perfect — and that heat‑timing annoyance will forever be etched into my brain — but it’s a blast. 4/5 stars!
I really didn’t know how Mads Volume 2 would stack up to Volume 1. I mean it couldn’t possibly be better when Mads Volume 1 was so good. Yeah, that was 100% wrong. Volume 2 was even better. Volume 1 ended on a cliffhanger, and I didn’t have any idea where it would go from there. I fell in love with every member of the slowly forming Soto pack in Volume 1 and just wanted this mash-up of alphas, beta, and omega to be able to enjoy their lives. These books are definitely something special because they are like a lot of omegaverses but also completely different. It is sweet and dark. It gives wonderful disability representation and LGBTQIA representation. What I really love about the Soto pack is that the characters are nothing like they are “supposed to be”. They are their own people and don’t act a certain way just because it is what their designation demands of them. They don’t fit a certain mold, and it makes their pack so strong. It is what makes me love this book.
Volume 2 gave us a better look at who each of the main characters really is. Oscar shows us that is the absolute perfect pack leader, being organized and in tune with each member of his pack, making sure that he is doing everything in his power to take care of them. But he also shows his dominant, pure alpha side. Locke being the house alpha makes me smile so much. His relationship with Mads and Ro is absolutely perfection. Kol shows who he really is when his is not on the edge of becoming a feral alpha. The way he was with Ro made me laugh. Cadi is not your typical omega and the way that she acted with Ro was my favorite thing. I didn’t know how I would feel about Aurora with how she was portrayed in Volume 1, but I absolutely loved her. She was a spoiled brat, but also such a wonderful addition. And then there is Mads. This book really shows that he is the lynch pin of the Soto pack. It shows exactly why this duet is named for him.
I loved this duet and Volume 2 was even better than Volume 1. The spice was increased and with a 6 person pack with two omegas, you definitely get plenty of spicy connection in this pack. There is MM, MF, MMF, and FF. It is a wonderfully poly pack that made me enjoy this book so much. This is definitely at the top of my list for omegaverses.
After the heart-wrenching cliffhanger of book one, I dove into the second installment with my emotions already on edge—and this book did not let me go until the very last page.
Picking up in the middle of chaos, we follow Pack Soto as they face impossible choices, emotional reckonings, and the evolving dynamics of love, healing, and found family. The introduction of Aurora, Ro, the spoiled omega daughter of the villainous Legs, initially made my heart tense. I was ready to hate her. But the story surprised me. I should have guessed that Cadi’s big heart would love her too. And so it was hard not to open mine as well.
Still, I struggled with some aspects of her integration. I’m personally not a fan of FF, and I prefer a pack dynamic with both a female and male omega. And honestly, it felt like Ro was taking Mads away from Cadi. But Cadi did love her, and that tenderness was undeniable.
The emotional arcs were handled so beautifully. Watching Mads wrestle with his trauma, Kol’s unwavering tenderness, and Cadi’s strength as they built something not just for themselves but for an entire community… it was healing. The relationship between Kol and Mads especially stole my heart - gentle, intimate, fiercely loving. And Locke? The way he stepped into his role as house alpha, caring for everyone with quiet strength? Everything. 🥹
The smut? 🔥🔥🔥 A delicious mix of MMMMFF, MM, MMM, and some FF. It was emotionally charged, layered with connection and healing especially for Mads, who deserved every ounce of softness and pleasure. He didn’t know his story was a romance. He never would’ve guessed it was such an epic one.
Book two is about deep bonds and building something beautiful out of pain. I laughed, I cried, I yelled at Mads a little (okay, a lot) and in the end, I closed the book with a full heart.
Thank you to the author and BookSirens for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
“We are like two hurricanes meeting each other in the open ocean.”
I ATE this up! The angst and action kept this book moving so quickly! And the heat & relationships made it SO satisfying! I absolutely could NOT put the book down for the first 60% because I was so engaged and if I put these characters down WHO KNOWS WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED!?!?!
The end of Mads Volume 1 left on a pretty huge cliffhanger and this quickly picks right back up and jumps into the action AND BOY IS THERE ACTION! The heat and tension is so delicious! And when the relationships start solidifying, holy wow it is GORGEOUS! I am in love with Cadi & Ro (& Mads, let’s be real). I also love that we get to see Mads really start to come back to himself after all of the trauma he has endured.
What’s Inside ❤️ Gritty Omegaverse ❤️ MMFFMM ❤️ Mafia Princess ❤️ Double Omega (FF) ❤️ Who wears the collar? ❤️ Completing the Pack ❤️ Found Family ❤️ Scent Matches ❤️ Primal Chase ❤️ Good Boy ❤️ & there’s a tiger?!??!?!?
This is such a FANTASTIC omegaverse read! It is engaging, fast paced, and full of love. I went through absolutely every emotion during this rollercoaster and left feeling so satisfied! I cannot wait for more in the Cash City Omegaverse!
ARC Review of Mads Volume 2 by Shasta de Leon releasing January 6th. I was gifted a copy of this book by the author & Book Sirens. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you!
After falling completely in love with the first installment, I couldn't wait to dive into how Shasta de Leon would complete this pack's journey, particularly since we knew more members were still waiting to join the fold.
The story launches immediately from the first book's cliffhanger—Mads and Locke are imprisoned by Legs O'Bannon, and the storylines that unfold had me racing through chapters. I'll admit some early pacing issues tested me (particularly certain heat cycle timing that left Cadi out of commission during critical rescue moments), but once the narrative hit its stride, it became an exhilarating journey worth every moment.
The connections between the characters in the Mads duet aren't just compelling on the surface; they're emotionally raw and profoundly intimate. The steamy scenes absolutely sizzle, and I appreciated how each pairing brought something distinct to both their emotional and physical intimacy.
What sets this duet apart is its exceptional treatment of a beta character who becomes absolutely essential to the pack's foundation. Beta characters often get sidelined in omegaverse stories, and when they do appear, they rarely receive the development they deserve. Shasta de Leon breaks that mold completely with Mads. His journey and complexity captured my heart entirely—he might just be my all-time favorite beta character, and he genuinely holds this entire pack together.
This is a must-read for why-choose omegaverse fans!
Okay so I absolutely loved volume 1. Mads is this really amazing Beta who is struggling after being hurt so badly by Alphas. This story starts where book one ended. So we start this one with a lot of angst. Two pack members have been kidnapped and the other two are dealing with Cadi going into heat.
I absolutely loved the angst and the fighting in the beginning of this one. However, I did not care for the addition of Ro. First I personally do not like reading FF relationships and she was barely 19 so it feels really off. Personally I think adding her actually hurt the pack dynamic they had built.
I feel like this book kind of forgot it was supposed to be Mads story and became the Ro story.
I absolutely loved the little bits we got to see of Made falling for some of the men in the pack. I really wanted more of this. Also I just wanted more from him. Thoughts, feelings, therapy, him dealing with Alphas not in his pack.
I loved parts of this book and others felt like they overly complicated the dynamics that were being built in Volume 1.
Ro was such a whiny brat who felt she was entitled to everything and that's part of her being barely ban adult and how she grew up. It was not endearing and the gift giving scene really make that evident.
So I adored pack Soto but definitely would have been better if So had maybe been someone they helped not kept.
I adored the way the pack dynamic bloomed in this second half. Through the rough start with Legs all the way to Oscar's decision with Aurora, they all continued to be there for each other. Mads personality finally bloomed under all the love and care from the pack and I was so happy for him! They all deserved this much happiness. Locke gets to fulfill his house alpha dreams, which is the cutest thing ever. Kol might be my new favorite here honestly, right after Mads of course.
If I'm going to be critical of anything, I would mention 2 things. One would be that it felt like Oscar got left behind a bit in this story. There was a bit more focus on Aurora coming in. While he had his moments (including one with Aurora) I missed his energy in this half of the series. The second would be the proofreading/editing. I only mention it if I catch more than 5 instances, and there were quite a few ("Koll" instead of Kol, "macha" instead of matcha, "He knows I that the muzzle is staying off" etc). Hopefully that can be fixed later.
I enjoyed this book and can't wait to see more from the Cash City universe.
I waited on pins and needles for Mads v2 and it did not disappoint. This is part two and part one needs to be read first. This picks up right at the cliffhanger of book 1. I love the introduction of Aurora. Two female omegas in one pack!? The way aurora circled the pack before truly joining into the fold was beautiful. I wish they’re were more scenes with Aurora and Cadi. They had such sparks between them and I wish we would’ve gotten more. Aurora is a dynamite hidden under stereotypical omega neediness. But I love that she is still a needy spoiled omega and embraces it! The way she is pulled to Mads!?! Mads…. Mads is my 2025 favorite book boyfriend. My heart went out to him for v1 but seeing him find himself and embrace his personality from before his attack!? Omg. Mads is amazing. The way the entire pack circles him is amazing. The relationship dynamics between each individual member of the pack and the pack as a whole is so intricate and I loved it! Great conclusion to Mads and his pack. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Just as a FYI, I did receive an ARC of Mads Vol 2, but I also purchased the book as well.
If you like omegaverse that manages to be gritty, yet sweet, with action and emotional depth, than the Mads books (volumes 1&2) are for you.
After that raw cliffhanger in book 1, you're left wondering how things will progress, plus you're introduced to Aurora, who's whip smart and takes no prisoners despite her younger years.
I was immediately hooked. I forgot all about the alphas briefly, and even Mads, and wanted to know more about her 😆😆
I thought there may have been difficulty with the way there were 2 omegas in the mix, but it was handled well in my opinion. My 2 favorites in the story were Mads and Aurora. ( My apologies to Locke, Oscar, Kol and Cadi)
The pacing is done well, theres lots of spice, and I find myself looking forward to whatever else the author will come up with in the future!
This book starts off after a cliffhanger in book 1. There is a lot going on with 2 settings, but the author does a great job of weaving them together so you are following along.
The additional of Ro was actually done well, though her personality never seems to sit right with me. She fell into the pack well, but she still seemed a bit childish to me. I think that was the way the author wanted you to see her, so it made sense.
I liked getting to see the happy ending, though i felt like I wanted more at the end. There were some chapters that dragged the book along and I would have loved more of the after -epilogue than some of the last chapters that felt a bit rushed
Overall liked the book. I really liked the first book so I think that the second was just following a really good first book.
I don’t think we’re finished with this series! I was fully prepared for Acadia to be the innocent omega we met in the first parts of the series. Baybay! Okay let me tell you, the woman knows what she wants and how to maintain it. Somehow, the dynamics worked in this MMFFMM story. Let me tell you that I wasn’t prepared for the way everything played out. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Please stay until the end and read every detail. I almost missed the best part while strings were being tied up in a bow. You know, that linchpin moment, defining all the parts of a story that just seems to come together organically.
They are happy. The balance was maintained and restored. I was very pleased. Read. The. Entire. Series.
This book was so good!!! I thought that book 1 was going to be hard to beat, but this book exceeded my all of my hopes and expectations!!!
There were so many good quotes from this story, and the nicknames? I’m still swooning over them!! The chemistry between the characters was amazing!
• 2 female omegas • Dominant beta • MMFFMM • MM + FF + MFM + MMF + MFF + FMF • Scent match • Heats / ruts / pack dynamics • Biting kink • Found Family
The only complaint I have is that this author doesn’t have a billion more books for me to read!!! I am so excited to see the amazing characters and stories that Shasta comes up with in the future!!!
I hope everyone has a great day and enjoys their books!! - Lexi
I’m going to preface this by saying, FF is not my preference. Not my thing. So I went into this prepared to not enjoy it. I was wrong. A well written story can stand past the parts that make the reader uncomfortable. This story did for me.
I very much enjoyed this book. While I quickly read over the FF spicy scenes, the overall book was well paced. It has a good message which really came through, especially with the afterword. I had a hard time liking Ro. She’s spoiled. She’s young, and bratty. Annoyingly so, but that’s sort was part of the point. Flawed and annoying individuals still deserve love.

Such a beautiful sequel and it made me wish the conflict was resolved sooner: the pacing was perfect, it's just the dynamics the pack have with each other and especially with Aurora was so good that I wanted more! Everyone's relationship with each other is different and I like how it's expressed within the story: everyone loves a unique way and it was refreshing to see how accepting they are to it.
Definitely recommend reading this series as it will have you feeling all the emotions and leave you gasping at the end: a very satisfying happily ever after.

Mads!! Gosh, what a ride. Even when you know there will be a HEA. Shasta did a fantastic job making you think one thing about a character and then flipping the script. I loved it! The first part was action packed in Salt Port, and the second part was about Pack Soto coming together as they were meant to be. Shasta said it best: Mads is all of us. I absolutely loved this duet - Shasta’s writing is fun, and each character truly has their unique voice. More OV please!! I’m a fan for life of her writing and stories.

I absolutely love the first book, and this one picks up where it left off. I got a little upset with how things played out during Cadi's heat. I felt like Locke and Mads were left to fend for themselves. At first, I did not like Aurora, but I quickly fell in love with her. I adore Oscar, but Kol is my favorite. And if I'm being completely honest, I'm sad to see the book end. I love that little tidbit at the end when you found out what happened after the first heat. That was priceless.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Cadi if just about the sweetest & most laid back/chill omega I've ever seen hahaha. Most omegas would be angry or distraught that their alpha was forced to bond another omega after being kidnapped while she was in heat, but Cadi is just like 'who is she?? Is she cool? Tell me about her!' Super excitedly hahahaha. Not once did she have a single bad feeling about Ro, just acceptance & excitement. Anyways, amazing read, love everyone's dynamics. And I also loved the little end about Cadi calling her omega father... hahhaa
Oh oh how this author rocks this genre but making each book unique and hot as a 10 alarm fire 🔥 .
Book 2 picks up where 1 ends so we meet the lovely daughter of legs, Ro and find that Mads and Locke have been taken
Cadi is in heat with Soto and Kol and the madness ensures that your kept on your toes while this story drags your deeper into this OV world and your only to happy to follow.
Such a great series I'm so glad I got to read it!!
I truly loved this duet. In vol. 2 some things happen that I absolutely hated. Things In my personal opinion could/should have gone in a different direction. But...It doesn't make me love this wonderful duet any less. It is just a personal preference. So much steamy fun. Lots of action. Plenty of crazy. There's some laughs, and few tears, and lots of love. Great characters, great world building. So good!
This is book 4 of a series and book 2 of a duet. I'd really recommend reading the entire series from book 1 (Ondine volume 1) rather than starting with Mads volume 1 because a majority of the world building is in that book and this omegaverse has a bit of a difference in people/power dynamics. Mads was my favorite character out of the whole series and all of the characters showed growth. If you like a beta with major alpha energy, you might also like Mads.
I wasn’t as compelling as Mads vol 1 but good. It felt a little longer than needed and I personally didn’t love Omega Ro in the pack dynamic ( she was too young/ immature IMO).
Great conclusion and story. Mads is a unique OV and totally worth the read
Full of action, romance, and amazing character growth. Like the rest of the series, this book is a whirlwind of a ride and will keep you turning pages until you're finished and will leave you craving more. However I was rather disappointed that we never got to know what happened to the 2 alpha’s from the beginning of the story
This was a beautiful ending. I don't have any critiques. I loved the characters and the ending. I smiled throughout most of the book. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I love these people. She writes the best people. They feel real. Bad things happen, really bad things, but they love each other through a. Waiting for Mass was hard but totally worth the wait.
