I am always a little sad to read the final book in a series. We have waited for this one, and even though I tried to savor it, I could not put it down. Linc and Kristen’s story has been building for a few books now, and we finally get answers.
This story is not all rainbows and sunshine, your heart will take a beating. You will love, dislike, and be frustrated with the characters. Linc will fight for what he wants. The suspense is there, but it is part of the story and will get your heart pounding.
I am going to miss the Flying Diamond 5, and I can guarantee this series will be re-read.
Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.
The long anticipation for Rancher's Embrace was worth it. My heart is so incredibly sad for this series to end. Will Linc and Kristen find their way back together? Will all of our conclusions be right? Whether you're looking for Found family, broody cowboys, forced proximity, you can't go wrong with this series. We don't give spoilers here so I'll give you my feelings on it. Linc's heartbreak in the beginning of the series tore my heart to shreds as he never could get over the one who got away, or ran away we should say. Until Kristen comes back in a way that has us hating her, or loving her. Love is not always beautiful with a rainbow colored path. Sometimes you need to fight for what you want, and Linc sure knows how. Several times my breath was held for the anticipation of what was coming, happening, or the theories of "What the actual F". Did Bonnie have me wanting to throw hands with a fictional character? ABSOLUTELY! Yet again, these boys know how to hold their own. I truly hope Rancher's Embrace makes other women feel seen, heard, and know their worth. Books have an amazing way of reshaping our past, and this was Definitely one that will be held close. 10/10 a re-read for myself. Your mental health matters, you matter, and you're worth loving ❤️.
⭐️ 4.5 | 🌶️ 1.5 This book has been 4 books in the making. Lincoln and Kristin have been simmering in the background for the entire series and we FINALLY get to watch the cowboy and the heartbreaker combust in real time.
They spent years stuck in this on-again, off-again pattern… until Kristin just vanished, no reason, no explanation just gone. Fast-forward three years, she’s in danger and calls the one man guaranteed to show up like a very grumpy knight in dusty denim: Linc.
Suddenly she’s back on the ranch and married to the man she swore she’d never face again. If “stubborn” and “infuriating” were a romance trope, it’s these two. The button-pushing, the tension, the history, the way they know exactly where the emotional bruises are. You can feel every spark ready to ignite.
And when they finally snap and let three years of repressed longing explode! Seeing this stoic cowboy crack with that “you broke me” emotional honesty took me OUT.
The suspense thread that’s made this series such a standout absolutely did not disappoint in the finale, still edge-of-your-seat, still perfectly woven into the romance.
A perfect wrap-up to what has been an unexpected gem of a series. If you like morally grey cowboys, at this to your TBR now.
Well, the Flying Diamond 5 series wrapped up with Lincoln and Kristin’s story. It was one that we all have been waiting for and it was with the wait.
As always the suspense was action packed and kept the reader on their toes. The growth of both characters would just hit you right in the feels. And the way these men would go to the end of the world for the women is just swoon worthy.
This book and this series is one that you don’t want to miss!
Tropes: • Second chances • Small town • Chemistry
Bittersweet that this is the last book in the Flying Diamond 5 Series by Bonnie Poirier but at least we finally get Lincoln and Kristin’s story. These two have been simmering and smoldering in the background and now we get it!
I’ve been reading this series and getting more and more invested in these characters. Second chances, she’s mine, don’t touch, chemistry that sizzles and so much more. Linc and Kristin’s story will make you cry, smile and just shiver, yup that is a good thing. Enjoy
I had the chance to read an ARC of this book thanks to the author’s Facebook reading group. This series was my first time discovering her writing, and I’ve enjoyed every installment. I’ve been cheering for these characters from the beginning, and this book delivered exactly what I hoped for!
