Beyond blessed from reading this book. when I started reading this book, I was dealing with hurt and felt like I veered away from God. After finishing this book, I feel closer to God and like I'm back on track spiritually and mentally. The book mentions church hurt, and it gets you to realize the church is made of humans and us humans make mistakes and fall short. We need to give people grace and look to God for the standard. I believe God used this book to grow me spiritually.

This book is a must read for those who have drifted from being connected to a local church! There is so much healing in this book and beautifully addresses what is known as “church hurt” and other issues such as our identity crisis. Ultimately, I have a renewed love for my local church (even though I loved it before) and feel better equipped to walk in and show up motivated by love and compassion for those around me.
