Safe and Sound by Melissa Huxley
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | 🌶️🌶️🌶️
⤷I Loveeeeeeeeee this new book! Melissa’s books are always a hit for me! It had the perfect balance of sweet coziness, tension, drama, love and delicious spice! It was a little darker than her previous work, but it was overwhelmingly a sweet omegaverse bodyguard romance.

⤷I adored all the characters so much, but I’ll confess that I definitely have a soft spot for Bear! I did quite enjoy the teasing natured relationship between all MMCs, It was quite funny to read. Flora & Spencer’s clashing relationship was entertaining, and I was definitely siding with Flora (don’t limit my sweets/snacks). Bear and Flora being each other's comfort person and absolutely adorable together was so sweet to read. Also, I really appreciated the friendship that Flora made with Mable, so she wasn’t totally isolated with the MMCs all the time.

⤷ If you haven’t read any of her books, you gotta add her Pucking Pregnant, Bonding the Babes, and/or Fire House Omegas series to your TBR! You can definitely read this one as a standalone, despite there being characters from Sincerely, Packed Puck. I still need to check that one out soon. I definitely want to see how Pack Garnett came together after seeing them in Safe and Sound.

𝐍𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐬: “Princess” (S), “Honeybee” (C), “Little Omega” (B).
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬:
📌Flora(O): The studious and numbers-loving introvert Omega (Rose & Honey)
📌Spencer (A): The grumpy health nut security guard that loves cooking and drives Flora mad in the best ways. (Pepper)
“You are aware this is stalking?” Spencer shrugged. “I’m stalking the stalker who’s stalking the stalkee,” he replied casually.

📌Chase (A): The flirty, pretty boy voyeur, security guard & tech guy (Ginger Spice)
All my careful years of honing my body to have ultimate control as a sniper apparently went right out of the window when I got a whiff of Flora.

📌Bear (A): The sweet, big, and scarred teddy bear alpha, who crochets and gives flora a sense of safety from their first meeting. (Pumpkin Bread)
Flora needed to know that I would do anything—not just to make her safe, but to make her feel welcome and cared for. As far as I was concerned, I was hers to command.

I love this series in its wholesome cosiness. This book is a bit darker than the past ones, because of the stalker aspect, but the devotion is just as sweet. Flora is an omega who’s incredibly smart with numbers and knows what she wants in life, and seeing as the way she views her future doesn’t align with her parents’ views, she goes to uni unsupported and has to make ends meet herself. Spencer, Chase and Bear we already knew from Mable’s book, as they’re her pack’s security team. When Spencer is following Percy to class, he realises Flora is being stalked, and it doesn’t take long for his entire pack to get obsessed with (protecting) her. Bear is my absolute fave and has a tender spot in my heart. It felt for me like Chase and Spencer didn’t have enough time to burrow as deep in her heart as he did, but they all fit together and Flora chose them so who am I to judge? I absolutely loathed Flora’s mom, and even the unhinged stalker didn’t change my mind on that. On the other hand, I loved how close Flora and Mable became, they’re such sweet friends! Talking about her friends: I’m so curious to see how Summer’s story goes!

This was definitely a cozy read, and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Flora and her alphas, Bear, Chase, and Spencer. Flora is a young omega, on her own going to college, and unbeknownst to her has a little stalker problem (the bad and not so bad kind). Our guys are security experts that feel the need to protect Flora. Each guy approaches this in completely different and sometimes hilarious ways. I really liked their story and I may have found a favorite in Bear, but Chase and Spencer were great in their own way. Melissa Huxley has given another good addition to the Pucking Pregnant series.

If Melissa writes it, I’ll read it. Grumpy Spencer and pack from Sincerely, Pack Pucked get their own Omega in Safe and Sound. Flora is a riot. She’s full of sheer determination to do things on her own and filled with just enough aloofness and spice to make me chuckle. In SPP, Spence was the growly protective security detail. That bit doesn’t change, if anything, he just gets more growly and protective. Chase is the fun loving flirt and Bear, the scarred alpha that makes the perfect body pillow. This was a fun read.

I always like a good found family/pack book so this was great in that sense. Our FMC was so in need of love and company in her life and I'm so glad she got it. The stalker drama added tension which fit really nicely.
In general, very good book but because the FMC had kind of a clear favourite for most of the book I feel like I didn't get to meet the other two alphas as well as I got to meet this one alpha.

I was absolutely hooked to this book right from the beginning. The story drew me in and I absolutely loved the characters. It took me a few minutes to realise this book was linked to Sincerely, Packed Puck, but once I realised these characters were briefly mentioned at the end I was super excited to get into the story. Overall, this was a brilliant book and one that I thoroughly enjoyed. I would highly recommend giving it a read.
