Rate this book
To save humanity, he must cross a frigid wasteland.

With his flock at full strength and all his psionic powers unlocked, Ward and those closest to him are finally ready to confront the insane Thred shaman intent on wiping out humanity.

To reach him, they’ll have to cross the breadth of the northern continent, an expanse of icy wasteland plagued by fierce storms, constantly shifting ice floes, and predatory ice worms. Even with the help of all the allies they’ve gathered on their journey, the trip to the pole will be incredibly dangerous.

But failure means the death of every human on the planet.

Good, with quibbles

Alternate universe, psionics, aliens, save the world, harem adult situations

The quest to stop a grieving, insane shaman sworn to wipe out humanity. Ward, the women of his flock, friends and warriors face off. There were a few omissions. Because some might deem these as spoilers, I've added some blank lines so you won't inadvertently read something that won't make sense until the scene arrives.

The crew of a submarine were killed to protect the expedition, yet no one even remarked about their sacrifice. At the end, two cores were dropped into the water, but no mention was made of the other three in Ward's possession. I assume he released those as well, but it should have been included in the scene. Details matter. Would have been nice to hear that new research was happening at the frozen northern continent, and that a space station was being built. Excellent editing. Interesting milieu and satisfying conclusion.
