I received a copy of this book for an honest review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
Dream Escape is the second book in the Dream Awake Series. W.J. Carlson knows how to pull you in a keep you invested through every single word of her books.
Dream Escape follows the first book Dream Awake where we met Ben and Katie and followed along on Katie's dreams of the kind of life she wanted and the finding of her perfect man, Ben. Ben, the hot British boy I might add, who is holdin out till marriage and that's not what Katie wants at all. Katie's got desires and is certain that Ben is the one.
In Dream Escape we are in Katie's fantasy dream. I really liked this fantasy and was sad to have to come out of it. Did I mention that W.J. Carlson pulls you very deeply into her books and I was right there with Katie. Katie's got desires that she wants Ben to fulfill but when Ben rejects those ideas Katie is thrown into questioning everything she's every wanted. The what ifs in life. I think we all go through those as we are trying to find ourselves, and my heart went out to Katie's as she questioned everything in her life. The what if I'd chosen this path instead of the one I did. I felt like I and a lot of others can relate with Katie as she questions herself.
I loved this book. I loved that we spent this time with Katie mainly, as Ben is not in this book like the first one. I loved the emotions it brought out in me as I thought about my past and the dreams I had right along with Katie. I loved getting to know Katie's desires and dreams better. I honestly did not want this book to end. I could not wait to dive into Wide Awake to see what would happen. You hooked me Wendy and I'm so very glad that you did,.

Another 5 star read! W.J.Carlson has managed once again to draw me into a great storyline, held my attention but left me wanting more! This book is recommended to all that love a good story to curl up with on a rainy day.

A must read!!!!! I felt I was inside Katies fantasy dream and didnt want it to end. can you say HOT! definitely enjoyed it. The author did an AMAZING job on her 2nd book five stars plus!
