Star Legacy is a fun quick read where superhero-ing is a part of everyday life for those lucky (or unlucky) enough to be of use. I really enjoyed how the main character's family and past provided so much tension for her as she steps into her powers and applies for work at the hero agency. The way her powers only really work at night was such an interesting challenge for her to work with too!

A unique perspective in a time where we have been inundated with super hero content. The book is a very fast read with a world that is quickly built as the author dives into the story. The protagonist is relatable with struggles many of us have shouldered; poverty, illness, loss, and more.
Her desire to help provide and protect her family is what gets the story going; with her super power she is able to land a job as a hero in her town. The story follows her as she goes through the job training process while learning secrets about her family.
I enjoyed the increasing tension as Miranda advances through her training to become a hero. I also found her relationship with her Mother and Aunt heartwarming though in general I wish some characters were given more time to develop depth as the book is on the shorter side, especially since a love interest is thrown in to the mix and it feels like our time with each person is rationed.
In one way it makes sense to me where the book ended as there was a small lull in the action as well as a reveal. It left me simultaneously interested to see where the story is going and annoyed it was over so soon.
Over all I enjoyed this spin on a superheroes and look forward to seeing how the story and people develop in the future. It is a great option for young adult readers who have enjoyed books like the Percy Jackson series.

Loved reading this ! Star Legacy: Origins is a captivating story that blends thrilling superhero action with a touch of romance. The story immerses you in a creatively crafted universe where characters navigate the challenges of early career development and the complexities of young love. I really liked the elements of mystery, action, and creativity of this world with people with super abilities , this book is a page-turner and easy to read . Highly recommended for fans of imaginative, young adult fiction!

A wonderful YA book,
If you or someone you know enjoys a story with superheroes, action, a little romance, and a mystery all wrapped in one then this is the book for you.
It is a series of books and after reading the first book it’s leaving me with enough questions and intrigue making me want to continue the story.
