A great premise that ends up being nothing

The idea is a great one. Your typical Isekai protagonist is suddenly crippled, now what?

But the execution just feels very boring, the worst possible outcome.
We have dozens of pages about his party and friends feeling guilty, but nothing ends up happening. None of them actually tries to get stronger or improve themselves.. Just when there finally might be some excitement, fade to black.

Being a first novel, the unresolved points are fine, but they deserved more foreshadowing. Why was a Xxx in the dungeon? Why was it reported Xxx? Was it part of a greater scheme?

This whole book should have been condensed to at most 3 chapters, with the escort being the middle and fallout from it the end.

Very interesting take on isekai to start. It's basically "what if we sideline the mc due to injury" and how does that change the party and story. First volume is almost all setup but im interested to see where it goes.
