Huda Al-Marashi writes for both children and adults. She is the author of the forthcoming middle grade novel, Hail Mariam, and the coauthor of Grounded, which won the Walter Dean Myers Honor award. She also wrote the memoir First Comes Marriage: My Not-So-Typical American Love Story and has had essays and op-eds featured in various anthologies and news outlets, such as the New York Times, Washington Post, LA Times, and al Jazeera.
