I came to Whispers to start over. Just me, my baby, and a bakery that smells like second chances.
No more judgmental glances. No more family who treated me like a stain they couldn’t scrub out. Just flour, sugar, and the quiet hope that I can build a life worth living.
I didn’t expect to meet Griffin.
Grumpy, gorgeous, and maddeningly closed off, he’s the town’s most elusive billionaire and the man who built homes for the rich but never made one for himself.
He sees me. Not just the bump or the baggage, but the woman underneath. And when he looks at me like I’m the only thing that’s ever made sense, I forget how to breathe.
But trust isn’t something I can afford. My past has taught me to be wary of everyone. Even if the grumpy builder says he’s ready to fight for something real.
Samantha Skye is an Amazon Top 50 and international bestselling author. A country kid turned city slicker, she writes spicy and suspenseful contemporary romance novels that leave you hot under the collar and on the edge of your seat.
Samantha lives in Melbourne, Australia and when she’s not plotting her next novel, she can be found travelling, drinking margaritas and enjoying a sunset or star gaze somewhere.
Getting to see this series conclude with such a gem was pure joy.
Watching Savannah arrive in town with her baby and a quiet resilience was so moving, especially as she crossed paths with Griffin. I loved that their bond was a slow and genuine build of trust rather than a quick fix for their pasts. Seeing Griffin transform from a guarded workaholic into a devoted partner and father figure for little Tommy felt deeply earned and incredibly rewarding.
The found family atmosphere was top tier and it felt special to catch glimpses of the other couples from the series. The emotional weight of their traumas made every moment of tenderness feel powerful, providing a perfect mix of heartache and comfort. It kept me hooked the entire time as I cheered them on while they found their footing together.
Samantha Skye truly delivered an authentic and healing journey. Seeing two people who were a little broken find their perfect match and start a new chapter was deeply satisfying. It is a beautiful story filled with growth and chemistry that I will be thinking about for a long time.
Truly a fantastic way to cap off this wonderful journey.

ALC Review (Audiobook) 🎧
The narration for this book was absolute perfection. Savannah Peachwood and Ryan West brought these roles to life, adding a layer of vulnerability and grit that made the story feel incredibly immersive. They captured the grumpy meets resilient dynamic so well, and the emotional stakes felt much higher because of their performances. Listening to them navigate the heaviness of the characters' pasts alongside the well deserved swoon was a captivating experience. Their voices brought this beautiful romance to life in such a powerful way.

I was lucky enough to receive both an ARC and an ALC, and being able to immersive read and listen to this story made the whole experience even more special.

Huge thank you to Samantha Skye & The Author Agency for the ARC & ALC! 😍 All my bookish thoughts are completely my own. ✨
✨ALC provided by The Author Agency for honest review✨
Griffin is the first book I’ve listened to by Samantha Skye and I loved it! I’m a sucker for billionaire romances especially ones with single moms, independent fmc’s, alpha mmc’s, found family, and I grumpy/sunshine tropes ❤️ Savannah has recently moved to Whispers and is in the process of opening her own bakery. Her strict religious family has disowned her because she got pregnant out of wedlock, so she is doing everything on her own getting ready for her baby and her new business. Griffin is a grumpy workaholic that is constantly on the go and has no time for breaks or relationships. But when his friend asks for a favor and sends him to the new bakery to help the owner, he finds himself completely enamored with the new girl in town. Though he’s highly sought after for fancy construction and builds across the US, he can’t help himself and decides to help Savannah with her bakery. When he finds out she’s pregnant, he has to decide if he really wants Savannah and the baby in his life or cut off this budding new relationship and continue on with his busy lonely existence.
I adored Griffin and the love he showed Savannah and her baby! Savannah was a strong, independent woman really trying to do everything herself, and Grumpy Griffin becomes a big gooey cinnamon roll of a man and helps her out with her shop and more! And then stepping up and being the type of man Savannah and her baby needs in their lives just sealed the deal! The relationship Griffin had with his friends was also sweet, and how his friends and their significant others all welcomed Savannah into their lives was perfect. Savanah and Griffin have both been through some traumatic things in their lives, but they became just what each other needed to get past it and start a life neither one of them expected they’d ever have ❤️
The audiobook was duet narrated by Savannah Peachwood and Ryan West, and they were perfect for these characters. I ate this book up and I think I’m going to go back and listen to the rest of this series 😁
I’ve loved the town of Whispers since the series kicked off with Tanner’s book. It’s only got better as the series progressed.
Tanner’s always the matchmaker.
“Not his baby” is one of my favorite tropes.
Griffin - mid 40’s Billionaire (self made) Design / Builder Best friend with Tanner for over 20 years Didn’t have a home base although he had recently built a home in Whispers Lived in an abusive home and entered foster care at the age of 12 Still carries the weight of the trauma that occurred on his his last day in his home as a child Doesn’t feel worthy of love
Savannah - 23 Single and also expecting a baby (she was in her 3rd trimester when the story starts) Moved to Whispers after she was shunned and shamed by her cult like family Family wanted to force decisions as it related to her unborn baby Grandmother had left her some money that she uses to open a bakery in Whispers named after her Grandmother who taught her to cook / bake She plans to do all the work to get the bakery up and running herself Tanner is first to greet her and makes a trade for his builder (aka Griffin) doing the work instead
I loved how Griffin and Savannah’s story played out. They needed each other to make themselves whole and fight inner demons as well as outside forces that were up to no good.
Loved the continued found family aspect of the friend group from the previous books in the series. They quickly embraced Savannah and lil Tommy.
I missed some of the spice from the previous books but made sense since Savannah was pregnant for half the book / building of relationship with Griffin
I’ll miss this series but excited for what’s to come with the winery.
The drama in Whispers is at an all time high and Savannah is at the centre of most of it. Griffin is the last of the Billionaires to fall victim to love and it is a doozey! Savannah is taking no guff from anyone especially a man.
Griffin can't believe he's so drawn to the baker. She's a fire cracker.
Ah Griffin, the last in series, the Billionaires of Whispers. Such a good series. Strong men who are pulled to Whispers and stay for the love of their lives.
This was such a great narration!! Savannah Peachwood & Ryan West did a fantastic job with these characters!!
I have loved this series & Griffin was on I just knew I’d enjoy! This man was grumpy, protective and oh so down bad for Savannah!! Claiming her & her baby as his own and showing up non stop for her! All while dealing with his own internal struggles & trauma. This man was just top tier!!
This entire series has the best found family & friend group and it has been so amazing to watch through all of these books! This one gave us glimpses of other couples that I have loved and it made me so happy!
Definitely recommend this series & this book was such a good way to end it out! A story full of love, chemistry, emotional aspects, and healing. A beautiful way to close out our journey into the billionaires of whispers series!
This book reminded me exactly why I love a grumpy, broody workaholic mmc who is brought to his knees by a simple girl next door. No glam, no stick figure, just an everyday girl starting over trying to better her life for her and her unborn baby.
Intending to do a favour for a friend Griffin agrees to help get Savannah's bakery ready for opening day. He immediately feels uneasy with how much of a vulnerable position Savannah is in and finds himself almost compelled to step in as her protector. Absolutely unaware that not only is Savannah pregnant, but she's also doing life alone after being cast out by her family.
I love Griffin in this book! Despite his grumpiness he becomes an absolutely dreamy mmc, the perfect cinnamon roll. The way he cares for Savannah is the absolute sweetest. Nothing is too much trouble and his thoughtfulness is just top tier book boyfriend level. Sweet Savannah understandably is at a point where trusting anybody other than herself is a risk. It's incredibly heartwarming so see her taken care of by Griffin. And yes!, I know she doesn't need a man but the girl definitely needed a hero and griffin was absolutely that! The suspense added to this story was not what I ever expected but it gave an unbelievable extra layer to the story that just had you totally gripped.
The audio was a great listen. I think Savannah Peachwood has one of the most whimsical voices ever. Perfectly cast to voice Savannah, her voice matched the character to a tee. Ryan West voice was a joy to listen to as Griffin. The deep timbre of his voice was exactly how you imagined Griffin to be and it was 🔥!
When I saw one of my favorite tropes listed, not his baby, I had to listen to this ASAP! Griffin’s story was everything I wanted.
We have been introduced to Griffin from the beginning of this series. The allusive contractor who helped build the homes in billionaire’s row and made improvements to the distillery was always on the move. Never staying in one place long. Until he meets Savannah, the owner of the new bakery in town.
Savannah is very far along of her pregnancy when we meet her in the story. She is very independent and believes she can do anything/everything in order to get the bakery. (She can’t.) Tanner steps in and tells Griffin that he will help with the renovations.
Just the way Griffin does little things for Savannah has your heart melting. Especially once the little one arrives. There is so much that I can ramble about but I don’t want to spoil anything. There is also a bit of suspense that happens that will have you questioning who did it?!?
Savannah Peachwood and Ryan West are absolute perfection as Savannah and Griffin. Savannah and Ryan brought out so much emotions between Savannah and Griffin, it’s amazing.
Such a great book and amazing way to end this series.
I was super excited that Griffin was getting a story!
Griffin was everything I could have wanted in a grumpy mmc. The moment he met Savannah all his carefully curated walls came crumbling down. He stepped in immediately to help with anything and everything. He was so protective over her, I absolutely loved it.
Savannah is a strong independent woman, who is trying to create a better life for her and her baby. While Savannah did not want hand outs, there was no stopping Griffin. Griffin quickly became her safe space in Whispers.
While I do believe you can read this book as a standalone, reading the other books ahead of this one will give you more insight to the couples and found family dynamic.
Ryan West and Savannah Peachwood performed this audio in duet narration. They did a fantastic job bringing these characters to life.
great ending to the series, but I cannot stand when a fmc acts dumb & oblivious and that happened several times in this book… also a professional baker who loses her sense of taste and suddenly all her food is disgusting makes absolutely no sense..
How are we already at the end of this series?! It feels like it literally just started yesterday. And finally… finally… we get Griffin’s story. Which, let’s be honest, was the one I was most excited about. A grumpy, commitment-avoiding guy who just wanders around, refusing to put down roots? Sign me up!
Enter Savannah: pregnant, on her own, and determined to turn a run-down space into her dream bakery. A queen, honestly. Griffin only gets involved because Tanner ropes him into helping her out…because apparently a world-renowned builder taking on a small bakery reno is just a casual favour now? Sure. Totally normal for Whispers!
But then Griffin actually meets Savannah… and oh no. Feelings. Suddenly it’s not just about fixing doors and whatever else needs doing…he realises there’s so much more to her than he expected. And this man? He steps up. Big time. Not just in the bakery, but in her life too.
Grumpy guy turns soft? Emotional support + handyman energy? I was absolutely gone. Total swoon. Add in that touch of suspense Samantha always throws our way… and it’s chef’s kiss to end the series!
And because you cannot finish this review without talking about the audiobook…duet narration? Check. Savannah Peachwood and Ryan West? Check and check! Honestly, if you’re into audiobooks, you’ve definitely come across these two, and before you even press play, you just know you’re in for a wild ride.
Omg talk about swooning!!! Griffin is the final book in the Billionaires of Whispers series… and it was a beautiful end!! I loved the slow pacing of Savannah and Griffin's relationship, focusing on friendship and help before stepping over. Savannahs story was heartbreaking but I loved her strength. Griffin has always been on the outside of the stories, there but not a big character so this was great to learn more about him.
The narration by Ryan West and Savannah Peachwood was so perfect! I felt the characters really shine through. Plus I loved all the other characters in whispers making appearances
This amazing audiobook was narrated in duet by Savannah Peachwood and Ryan West 💖
Yes, I'm here again, saying that Samantha has done it again! The men she writes? 🫠🤌🏼
Griffin won me over immediately! I was already excited for his story but Savannah brought this man to his knees and I was done for!
Their chemistry and the banter between this is insane. Sexual tension and steaminess off the charts ❤️🔥 And the way they fell for each other, support one another emotionally and in so many ways? You have no choice but to love them and cry for and with them 🫶🏼🫶🏼
I really enjoyed Griffin by Samantha Skye. The dynamic between these two characters worked so well because they were equally strong in different ways, her determination and resilience balanced perfectly with Griffin’s personality, making them feel like a true match. The connection between them wasn’t rushed, and that made every step of their relationship feel more meaningful. And I always love a man who knows the strength of his woman but will still do everything he needs for her. From helping remodel her bakery, to frosting cupcakes, to help her go into labor (we all know the best way for that).
One of my favorite parts was watching their friendship grow first. The trust they built gave their romance such a solid foundation, and it made the emotional moments hit even harder. Seeing both of them learn not only how to love, but how to accept love, made this story feel deeper than just a typical romance.
It was a really satisfying journey of growth, connection, and finding someone who truly sees you for who you are. The chemistry, the spice, the love and acceptance made this an easy 5 star read!
🔥 SMALL TOWN BILLIONAIRE + SUSPENSE + ALL THE FEELS I COULDNT STOP LISTENING TO. 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Audiobook Review ALC Griffin (The Billionaire of Whispers series) Bk 6 by Samantha Skye Narrated in Duet by Savannah Peachwood and Ryan West
If you love protective alpha heroes, emotional baggage, found family vibes, and danger lurking beneath a small-town romance… then Griffin by Griffin needs to be on your audiobook list immediately. Samantha Skye seriously knows how to mix heart-racing suspense with swoony romance, and this story had me completely hooked from start to finish.
One handshake with a billionaire and a payment in sourdough and bake goods that changes everything.
A pregnant woman open a bakery in Whispers to start over and meet Griffin, a grumpy billionaire builder who sees past her baggage.
This is Griffin and Savannah story 🧁🏠🛠️
✨𝒮𝒲ℰℰ𝒯𝒩ℰ𝒮𝒮✨
🛠️ Griffin was EVERYTHING. Protective, intense, loyal, and absolutely obsessed with Savannah in the best possible way. Beneath all that billionaire gruffness and confidence was a man carrying emotional scars, and watching him slowly let someone in had me melting. The chemistry was explosive, but it was the emotionally charged moments that really got me.
🧁 “There goes that flutter again” 🧁 Savannah, strong, sweetly relatable, and refused to be overshadowed by her religious fanatical family, made her and Griffin dynamic even better. Their banter, tension, and emotional pull felt so natural, and the suspense woven through the story. whew. It kept me listening way past bedtime.

Together. They are utter sweetness in my ears making it one unforgettable immersive experience!

𝕋𝕙𝕠𝕦𝕘𝕙𝕥𝕤💭 Samantha Skye didn’t disappoint with this one. I was dying for Griffin the grumpy builder story and she delivered in sweetness overload. This one like the rest featured all the guys and their gals who brought out the found family vibes in spades and I fell even more in love with how this series was written. I don’t know if I’ll ever get enough of it. Griffin story gives all the tropes and vibes you need.

Samantha Skye continues to make Whispers feel like a place you never want to leave, and Griffin’s story was emotional, addictive, spicy, and impossible to pause.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely devoured this audiobook and already need the next book in the series.
Don’t take my word for it. Just get the damn Books.
When I started this series, I really had no idea what to expect. A fun little read about rich guys making whiskey, perhaps? Let's just say by the time I finished book 1 (Tanner), I knew I was about to embark on something special throughout the rest of the series!
Griffin, the final book in the Billionaires of Whispers series, stole my heart from ch 1! Here we have the grumpy builder who is best friends with the town patriarch, Tanner Whiteman, and together, they built the town of Whispers. Starting with Whiteman's Whiskey distillery, to local shops around town, the renovated B&B to host visitors, and every single mansion on Billionaire Boulevard; Griffin Patterson was the man responsible!
As the series progressed, there always seemed to be a "special project" that needed to be done quickly, and Griffin was always the man to call. Widely considered the best builder in the country, yet he remained a mystery throughout the series. Literally flying into Whispers on his private jet when needed, only to disappear once the job was done.
I was so excited to finally get to his story and Samantha did not disappoint!!! Dare I say, she saved the best for last?! Now let me just say that I have never read a book about a man falling for a woman who was already 7 months pregnant LOL! In her defense, she hid her bump pretty well, but the fact that she had a baby 2 months after their initial meeting was completely wild to me and the story was so captivating from the start!
Griffin was originally hired to help the new town baker(Savannah) get her bakery up and running(again, he didnt know she was preggo lmao), and upon their first meeting you could feel the intense connection these two shared. I loved the aspect of him being captivated by her and unaware of the pregnancy. They developed a genuine friendship and the added layer of the pregnancy seemed to only deepen his level of respect and admiration for her- a single, pregnant woman starting a new business all on her own! Needless to say, deciding to help build the bakery turned out to be decision Griffin ever made!
One of my favorite elements of Samantha's writing is that she can make the sweetest "Hallmark" love story turn into a psychological thriller! This book had so many twists and turns that just when I thought I could breathe, here we go with the foolery again! This book also showcased the dark sides of religion with how Savannah's community pretty much shunned her for getting pregnant out of wedlock. Give me some culty vibes in a book and I'm seated!
All in all, I'm so sad to say goodbye to this town because I've really grown to love these characters and their found family. Each couple had such a unique story, and with the conclusion of every book, the town of Whispers became just a little bit better. Kinda bummed that I won't get to own a house on Billionaire Boulevard, but oh well 🤷🏾♀️😔. While Tanner and Victoria will always be my fav couple, because hello 20 year age gap, Griffin and Savannah are definitely a close second!
I honestly cant recommend this series enough and I will most likely do a re-read in the near future. To Tanner &Victoria, Hudson &Lacey, Connor & Daisy, Sawyer & Annabelle, Sutton & Charlotte, And finally, Griffin & Savannah...thank you for making Whispers so warm and inviting...we come for the whiskey, but stay for the community!
The final book in the Billionaires of Whispers series gives us Savannah and Griffin’s story. Savannah is new to town and determined to get her bakery up and running before her baby arrives in a few months, while Griffin is the reluctant builder pulled in to help her. Unfortunately, this one didn’t hit the mark for me the way I expected it to, and I’m genuinely gutted about that. Before I get into what didn’t work for me, let’s talk about what did.
Griffin is a grumpy, workaholic billionaire who isn’t looking for love but falls fast and hard for Savannah the moment he meets her. His acts-of-service ways were definitely swoony, and I loved how protective he became of both Savannah and her baby. Once Griffin commits, he’s fully in with both of them, and that was one of the strongest aspects of the story for me. The spice and intimate moments were well written, although compared to previous books in the series, this one definitely felt lighter on those scenes. I also really enjoyed seeing the established friendship group from earlier books welcome Savannah with open arms and continuously show up for her throughout the story. Savannah Peachwood and Ryan West narrate this audiobook in duet style, and I genuinely can’t fault either performance. I thoroughly enjoyed their portrayals of these characters, and they both suited the roles perfectly.
Now for what didn’t work for me — SPOILERS AHEAD.
I struggled with Savannah’s character at times because, while she’s clearly intended to come across as strong and independent, she often didn’t feel that way to me. She talks a lot about wanting to stand on her own two feet, yet constantly allows everyone around her to step in and solve her problems. At times, she felt far more like a damsel in distress than the independent heroine I expected. I also found the subplot involving her conservative religious family to feel out of place and overly dramatic. It escalated to a point that honestly felt ridiculous, especially because Savannah just stood back and allowed things to spiral instead of taking control of the situation. One of my biggest disappointments, though, was the handling of the “not his baby” trope. The elements I was most looking forward to just weren’t there. I wanted those smaller, emotional moments that build connection — Griffin feeling the baby kick, attending appointments, going to a sonogram, things like that. Those moments are a huge part of what I personally enjoy in pregnancy romances and “not his baby” stories, and I really missed them here. I also felt the pacing was off throughout the book. The romance and emotional connection between Savannah and Griffin felt rushed, and the timeline was difficult to follow. Even though we’re eventually told that months have passed, the events themselves often felt like they happened over the course of only a few days or weeks at most.
Overall, I’m left feeling fairly indifferent about this final instalment, and I really wish that wasn’t the case because I fully expected to love it. This isn’t a bad book by any means, it simply didn’t deliver the elements I personally look for in this type of story. That said, I still think it’s worth picking up if you enjoy grumpy billionaire, small-town romances and are looking for an easygoing read. 🌶🌶
"Oh, sweetness. Don't go putting a halo around my head now... I'm no guardian angel."
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ALC/ARC Review Griffin (The Billionaire of Whispers series) Bk 6 By: Samantha Sky Duet narrated by Savannah Peachwood and Ryan West 🎧🖤 GRIFFIN REVIEW 🖤🎧
Griffin is the final book in Samantha Skye’s The Billionaires of Whisper series, and it had me falling in love with these men all over again. I haven’t read the entire series or even read them in order (I started with Sutton), but now I absolutely need to go back and pick up Tanner and Hudson ASAP because their roles as secondary characters completely sold me on their stories.
One thing I absolutely love about Samantha’s writing is that these books work so well as standalones while still creating a world that makes you want to know every character. The way she intertwines these characters and their relationships is done beautifully. The loyalty, the friendships, and these alpha men who would do absolutely anything to protect the women they love and even each other's women creates such a strong sense of family and connection. Loyalty truly takes on a whole new meaning in this series.
And Griffin? He was everything I love in a grumpy hero. 🖤
He’s broody, guarded, intimidating, and carries guilt and pain that was never his burden to carry. He keeps his circle small and protects those he loves fiercely. Beneath all of that tough exterior though is a man with a huge heart who doesn’t even realize how much he craves something real. Watching his relationship with Savannah grow absolutely melted my heart. The way he protected her and her unborn baby was everything. It wasn’t just the big moments it was all the little things he noticed without being asked, quietly stepping in where she needed support. Those moments honestly said more than words ever could.
Savannah came to Whisper determined to build a better future for herself and her child while honoring her grandmother by opening a bakery in her memory. I loved her strength and determination, especially in moments where fear and insecurities tried to creep in. She was resilient, caring, and exactly what Griffin needed. Watching her slowly help him heal and open his heart was beautiful.
The evolution of Griffin and Savannah’s relationship felt emotional, intimate, and full of tension. Their connection builds naturally through quiet moments, protective gestures, and slowly lowering the walls around their hearts. I loved watching them find safety and healing in each other. And the twists?! Completely unexpected and kept me hooked right until the end.
Someone please transport me to Whisper because I want to live in a town that protects its own and gives broken people a place to heal. And Samantha... Please tell me this isn't truly the end because I am not ready to leave this world. ✨
🎙️ Ryan West & Savannah Peachwood completely elevated this audiobook experience. Ryan West absolutely nailed Griffin’s gruff, protective, broody energy and brought every emotion to life. Meanwhile, Savannah Peachwood perfectly balanced strength, softness, and determination, making Savannah so easy to connect with and root for.
Together they created such an immersive listening experience that made every vulnerable moment, every bit of chemistry, and every emotional scene feel even more powerful.
Fabulous Story & Narration🎧Enthralling & Heartfelt!
Griffin Billionaires of Whispers By Samantha Skye Narrated by: Savannah Peachwood, Ryan West
Another amazing novel by Samantha Skye to fall in love with, and another wonderful billionaire of Whispers, Griffin, a big grump of a man with an equally big heart, one who will have you swooning. Skye created something very special when she created the “Billionaires of Whispers” world, a found-family that has grown within, and one that not only looks out for one another, but their care extends to the town folk too. Each book in the series stands on its own, but they are all just as fabulous as the next, and I highly recommend them all. Savannah came from a very strict family, and being unwed and pregnant was sinful to their strong religious beliefs, so she took the inheritance her grandmother left her and moved to Whispers to open a bakery in town. Tanner Whitemore, owner of a distillery, came in to speak to her about business, and saw she was doing it all on her own, so he offered to send someone to help, on his dime. That someone was his friend Griffen, who already had a lot on his plate and was not too happy about adding more, but when he saw her and what she was doing, he went on automatic, jumped in to help and see what needed to be done. It was great watching these two get to know each other, then see Griffin’s walls come crumbling down and open up to her, also great seeing him go into protective and then possessive mode. I loved the complexity of these two characters, each having interesting backstories and demons in their past, and for Griffin, battles with past demons. This masterfully crafted, multi-layered story flows naturally and has the perfect balance of drama, angst, some heartwarming moments, twists and turns, thrilling and suspenseful moments, heartfelt emotions, and a slow-burn but so worth the wait romance. As always, the writing, plot, and world-building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. It was great to see the characters from the earlier books, and I hope this isn’t the end we see or hear of them. Samantha Skye, thank you for another fabulous story and emotional roller coaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing audiobook listen, Savannah Peachwood and Ryan West were the perfect cast to bring these characters to life, and they did an amazing job voicing them and delivering a perfect portrayal of each. Both embodied their characters completely and were naturals in their roles, with Peachwood grasping every facet of Savannah’s personality, from her sweetness to her fierceness, and West doing to same for Griffin, and was perfectly grumpy, possessive and protective too. Both were fantastic at performing the roles of the side/secondary characters too. They set the ideal tone for the story, and their expressive performances conveyed all the characters’ emotions, making you feel each one. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to, and their enthralling performance keeps you hooked to the story.
She’s a 10… but she’s in her third trimester trying to open a bakery, and honestly? I love her already.
Huge thank you to The Author Agency for the advanced listener copy, because yeaaa... this one took me out in the best way. I’ve read every single book in the Billionaires of Whisper series, and I know I say this every time, but no really, this one is my favorite. Like… favorite favorite.
This book is giving grumpy sunshine but make it grown, make it messy, make it non‑traditional in the most delicious way. Griffin has always been the elusive billionaire , the man who builds something gorgeous, drops a few grunts in the group chat, and then disappears before anyone can blink. I genuinely didn’t think he’d get his own book, but the reason behind his constant vanishing? Oh, Samantha Skye said “let me feed you” and she did.
Then we meet Samantha, the new baker in town, who is very pregnant, very determined, and very much trying to open a business while carrying a whole human. And of course Tanner does what Tanner does....barges in, volunteers Griffin’s help without asking, and suddenly this man who avoids roots is knee‑deep in bakery renovations and baby‑on‑the‑way chaos.
And listen… Griffin does not flinch. Not at the belly. Not at the timeline. Not at the responsibility. He steps in with this quiet, steady protectiveness that had me kicking my feet like I’m not a grown woman with bills.
Everything about their relationship happens ass‑backwards, and that’s exactly why it works. It’s messy, it’s tender, it’s unexpected, and it feels so real.
Yes, there’s spice , good spice , but this is the least spicy book in the series, and honestly? I didn’t miss a thing. The plot is what keeps this story moving. The emotional beats? Chef’s kiss.
Now… the twist. I’m not spoiling it, but when it hit? The mama bear in me stood up, stretched, and said “oh absolutely not.” If you’re a parent, you’re going to feel that twist in your chest. It’s infuriating, it’s heartbreaking, and it will make you want to throw something , but keep listening. Samantha Skye knows exactly where she’s taking you.
One of my favorite parts is how the town rallies around Samantha. She’s exhausted, broke, and trying to open a bakery while waddling into her third trimester, and Whisper shows up for her like family. It’s peak found family, not just for her, but for Griffin too. For all his money, he’s never had a place that felt like home. He finds that here. He finds that with her.
Their road to an HEA is a roller coaster ... up, down, sideways, emotional whiplash ... and you’re never quite sure if they’re going to make it. But they do. And it’s worth every second.
This might be the least spicy book in the series, but it’s the one with the most heart. And that’s why it’s my favorite.
Griffin is the final book in Samantha Skye’s The Billionaires of Whisper series, and it had me falling in love with the men all over again (Tanner and Hudson are strong secondary characters in this story).
This story is performed in duet narration by two of my favorite narrators — Savannah Peachwood and Ryan West.
It is THE PERFECT casting for this story.
Griffin is the story of a billionaire builder, and a new-to-town burgeoning baker with a baby on the way. Savannah is trying to get her bakery off the ground after using her small inheritance to purchase it, and when Tanner nudges Griffin to help her, the connection between the two is strong and sure. Much like all of the other books in the series, each character has their own personal struggles they are attempting to handle on their own, until they learn it is acceptable to lean into their partner.
Savannah Peachwood is so versatile in this story. As Savannah, she is solitary and strong, unsure of her footing until Griffin gently guides her. Savannah’s voice has a sense of innocence, which plays so well into this particular character. She is equally seductive, particularly as Savannah leans into her desire toward Griffin. Also of note, though I despise the character, she plays Savannah’s mom with a steely edge and it showcases Savannah’s talent as a voice actor. The contrast is mind blowing.
Ryan West had me swooning the entirety of this story. His voice leans into the age-gap (Griffin is notably older) and sureness of a billionaire. Something about Savannah softens his defensive walls, and the protective and provider side of his character rises to the surface. Griffin wants to preserve Savannah’s dignity while also showing her she has support — and not just from him, but the entire Whispers community. Ryan’s rich, gravely voice gave me such confidence and safety within Griffin’s character.
I am always a sucker for “she’s pregnant, it’s not his” storyline because he has no skin in the game and she gets to see his actions back up his words. Griffin is there for Savannah in every way that counts — including the twist and turns that the author throws in. Griffin’s backstory is one of my favorites of an MMC (he has a load of familial trauma), and Savannah’s extremely religious family is portrayed as a viable threat to her happiness and security.
Also — the spice in this book is delicious. Savannah and Ryan are passionate and consistent performers in these scenes.
This is a great story, and I’d recommend reading the entirety of the series first…though I will say this could be a standalone if that’s your style. Just know that this series has a strong sense of focus of found family and the characters from previous stories are interwoven into the final book.
Griffin by Samantha Skye is the sixth and final title in The Billionaires of Whispers series and I thoroughly enjoyed it. To date I had only read Tanner, the first book in the series, but picking up Griffin I didn't find that I was missing anything by not having read all the other titles. Griffin and Savannah as the main characters were a great pairing and following their journeys, both individually and as a couple was a pleasure to read. Griffin is the elusive and transient billionaire of Whispers and is gruff, gorgeous, and emotionally closed off. He builds beautiful homes and buildings but the house he built for himself isn't home - nothing feels like home after having had a traumatic childhood marred by grief, loss and neglect. Savannah has come to Whispers to make a life for herself by opening a bakery to support herself and her baby. Savannah's own childhood and homelife wasn't ideal either but her strength and determination endears her to the inhabitants of Whispers quickly. The interactions and dynamic between Griffin and Savannah as they meet, work together, and get to know one another was well written and came across as a natural progression the more time they spent together. They started seeing each other underneath the amour they wear to deal with the world that only made their initial attraction and connection stronger. As they revealed more of themselves to each other, the respect and admiration that grew alongside the evident desire they felt was realistic. Without them really noticing, each gave the other support and the opportunity to heal. Griffin's selfless dedication to quietly help Savannah was heart warming and Savannah overcoming some of the ingrained negative beliefs and self doubts she had kept me invested in their story. The supporting characters throughout the story were woven in well and the way Savannah's mother and sister were portrayed had me suitably cringing from their completely unhinged behaviour. This was balanced out by the wonderful sense of community and found family Savannah finds in Whispers and Griffin feels in terms of the support and advice from his fellow billionaires. Overall this story encompassed a lot successfully - finding your person in unlikely circumstances, an undeniable connection, a person who really sees you, supports and helps you grow, and also stands by you through the difficult times no matter what. The chemistry, spice, romance, the acts of service and devotion, and the twists and turns and dramatic moments all made this a great read with what I found was a satisfying ending and I would definitely recommend.
I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
There’s something deeply entertaining about a billionaire romance where the billionaire is emotionally constipated, permanently grumpy, and one flannel shirt away from becoming a Hallmark carpenter.
That’s Griffin.
And somehow Samantha Skye made me absolutely feral for him.
Griffin is a surprisingly emotional small-town romance wrapped in bakery smells, healing trauma, and “I’ll take care of you even if you don’t ask me to” energy. The story follows Savannah, who arrives in Whispers heavily pregnant and desperate for a fresh start after being rejected by her deeply judgmental family. She’s opening a bakery, trying to survive on sheer determination and caffeine, when Griffin — the town’s elusive billionaire builder — crashes into her life.
The chemistry between them is immediate, but what I appreciated most was that the relationship doesn’t feel rushed. The romance builds through trust, consistency, and tiny acts of care. Griffin helping renovate the bakery? Cute. Griffin silently becoming emotionally attached to both Savannah and the baby before he even realizes it himself? DEVASTATING.
Savannah was honestly my favorite kind of romance heroine: resilient but messy, hopeful but scared, independent without constantly pushing people away for plot reasons. She feels very human. And Griffin works because beneath all the billionaire polish and grumpy exterior, he’s just a lonely man who desperately wants somewhere — and someone — to belong to.
The prose is very accessible and bingeable. Samantha Skye writes in a way that keeps the story moving without sacrificing emotional depth, and the pacing worked well for me overall. The first half leans heavily into character work and small-town atmosphere, while the second half picks up with the suspense elements and family conflict. A few plot twists were predictable, but the emotional payoff was strong enough that I didn’t really mind.
The found-family aspect was probably the standout feature for me. Whispers feels like one of those romance towns you wish existed in real life — supportive, nosy, chaotic, and weirdly comforting.
The banter here isn’t overly quippy; it’s softer, more intimate, and rooted in emotional tension. A lot of the best moments are the quiet domestic scenes: baking, late-night conversations, Griffin hovering protectively in the background pretending he’s “not worried.” Meanwhile everyone, including the reader, can clearly see this man is down catastrophically bad.
Overall, this felt like the kind of romance that balances sweetness and angst really well. Cozy but emotional. Tender but still dramatic enough to keep things interesting.
This was such a good ending to the Whispers series and honestly made me emotional knowing we were saying goodbye to the men of Whispers.
Griffin and Savannah were such a beautiful pairing because both of them were carrying heavy emotional baggage in different ways. Savannah was trying to rebuild her life after leaving behind a toxic and manipulative family environment while also navigating pregnancy on her own. My heart honestly broke for her because the people who were supposed to love and protect her only cared about controlling her and her baby.
Then there’s Griffin — grumpy, closed off, and someone who runs from his problems instead of facing them. Underneath all of that though was a man carrying years of grief, guilt, and trauma after losing his younger brother and mother in such a tragic way. Watching him slowly open up and allow himself to love and be loved was honestly one of my favorite parts of the book.
I loved them both individually, but together they were even better. Their relationship felt tender, emotional, healing, and real.
The town of Whispers also continues to be one of my favorite fictional communities because everyone truly cares about each other. The close-knit small town atmosphere made the story feel comforting even during the emotional moments.
And now for the audiobook… the narrators were PERFECT for Griffin and Savannah. I genuinely cannot imagine different voices for these characters now. The emotional scenes hit harder because of the narration and the spicy scenes? Whew. The chemistry absolutely came through in the audio and had me fully swooning while listening.
⚠️ Spoiler Warning Below ⚠️
One thing I absolutely loved was how Griffin immediately felt connected to Savannah and her baby even before fully understanding why. He consistently showed up for both of them throughout the story and naturally stepped into a protective role without hesitation.
The fact that he didn’t care that the baby wasn’t biologically his honestly made me love him even more. He wanted to be there for Savannah and the baby completely. Seeing him prepare a nursery and emotionally embrace the idea of becoming that child’s father was one of the sweetest parts of the entire book.
And THE EPILOGUE 🥹
I loved that Griffin immediately knew Savannah was pregnant with his baby before she even realized it herself. It felt like such a perfect full-circle moment for their relationship and made the ending even more emotional.
This was such a strong conclusion to the series and I’m honestly going to miss this world so much.
Griffin is the sixth and final book in Samantha Skye's fantastic and swoon-worthy contemporary romance series, The Billionaires of Whispers. Set in the small town of Whispers, the billionaires that now call the town home - and bring jobs and prosperity to the town with their philanthropy and their skills - it is construction magnate, Griffin, who now gets to find his happily ever after.
I've been looking forward to getting to know more about Griffin, the glimpses we got in previous books certainly made me curious. There was definitely more to this guy beyond the tough exterior and I am so glad that we have got to find out that Griffin is a teddy bear with a heart of gold and was just waiting for his person to come along. Griffin survived a horrific child, where he ended up in the foster care system, but now around 40, he still struggles to open his heart. Even Tanner, the unofficial leader of the Billionaires of Whispers, who had taken Griffin in years ago, hadn't got total acceptance from Griffin.
And if a sweet, protective and emotionally scarred billionaire wasn't enough to draw me, Skye added an FMC guaranteed to win me over - because I am low key obsessed with cults and high control religions, both fiction and non-fiction. Savannah is a fascinating woman. She is incredibly strong. She is wise beyond her years, though in age she is significantly younger than Griffin. She has taken a chance to take control of her life and her unborn child's life by starting over, opening the bakery she had always dreamed of in Whispers. Coming from a family involved in an extreme branch of Christianity, Savannah being unmarried and pregnant is a big problem, particularly since the biological father of her child upped and left.
This book is all about healing and true love. And a touch of danger. Despite being seven months pregnant, Savannah and Griffin have an instant connection that isn't just sparks of romance. Both their stories are that of survival. They share a similar journey, both with each other and with the people of Whispers who embrace them both so readily. I loved being able to check in with the other couples of the series, as they all pitch in to help Griffin and Savannah.
In addition to reading the book, I also got the ultimate experience in listening to the audio version. Skye has been absolutely spot on with her choices of audio narrators for this series. Savannah Peachwood and Ryan West provide the perfect voices and tone for the story. All I can really say is that listening to their narration, I could picture Griffin and Savannah in my head. Seriously, no notes, just gushing about the performance.

Oh Griffin. *sigh* We've seen glimpses of Grumpy Griffin throughout the Billionaires of Whispers series. He's been around, but not super involved. Per usual, Tanner Whiteman lures him in, knowing he will thrive with the love of a good woman and make a steady home in Whispers.
I want to live in Whispers. Not necessarily for the billionaires...but it wouldn't hurt ;) But the town is just cute and fun.
Savannah is new to town, about 7-8 months pregnant, a single mom, and opening a bakery. Tanner stops in to meet her, sees how much work needs to be done to the bakery, and hires Griffin to do it. Griffin comes in to meet Savannah and is immediately drawn to her. She is also drawn to him, but doesn't think someone like him would be into her. Of course, she is wrong.
Both Savannah and Griffin have rough pasts. Savannah is fresh out of a toxic religious community, which has basically shunned her b/c she is pregnant out of wedlock. Her family literally expects her to hand her baby over to her sister, who is married and struggling with fertility. They are whack-a-doodle. Griffin had an abusive father growing up, who actually killed his mom and his little brother. He was in and out of crappy foster care situations. So, he's guarded and chooses not to love anyone. It isn't shown on the page, but it is referenced that he has been with a lot of women, like the other Whiteman, Sawyer, Sutton, and Hudson. So, sort of a playboy of sorts.
Griffin and Savannah's relationship was non-traditional to say the least. They didn't really define it for a while, which was odd, but sort of worked for them. He did get a little freaked out and took off for about a week, but they had limited contact...he was just in his head. It wasn't a breakup, so to speak, but distance. Savannah was incredibly patient. Some may call her a doormat, and maybe she was, but to me it came across as a woman who understood that Griffin was complicated. He was someone who had been alone his whole life and needed time to process.
It was a good way to close out the series. I really enjoyed them. Skye writes fairly safe stories with no cheating or OW/OM drama, and always has an HEA. I also LOVE that there is NO THIRD ACT BREAKUP.
