Hanna is looking for a change in her life. she answers an ad to do just that. Finally the search is on for the lost bible. Throughout everything, Hanna finds and falls in love. The title may sound like it is a a religious book, but it is actually a romance.

I really enjoy how well this book is written. It is very easy to follow along with and you learn enough about the characters to form an opinion of them throughout the book. The story is nice and I could see it come out as a Lifetime movie. Even those of you (like me) who aren't Jewish, will enjoy this little history lesson!

I received this product in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion/review/feedback.

Interesting idea for a book

The idea for the book was interesting. Not sure if the idea came from a true historical story or not. It was evidently written by a non English speaking person as much of the language was not quite right, like it was translated. Still enjoyed the concept of the storyline. It does need to be edited better.

The Lost Bible by L Rosenman Is A Suspenseful Ancient Romance Story

The Lost Bible: An Adventure Paranormal Novel (Mystery & Action Fiction Book 1) by L Rosenman is a suspenseful ancient romance story. This is the story of Hanna a Jewish beautiful girl with green eyes. A girl that reaches her mid-life but has most of the important things missing from her life. She has no husband, no work, and in fact, nothing concrete to accomplish in her life. And there comes an ad from nowhere in a local newspaper that draws her attention. It is an altogether different kind of job. But it is full of dangers and risks. It is about hunting a lost copy of the Gutenberg Bible that is missing since the 16th century. She will have to join a professor for this riskful job. In this job, they will have to do a lot of tasks that are either very difficult or are full of high-risk.

Those tasks are difficult to an extent that a lot of people earlier have failed. Despite their best of the efforts. And if they fall in the second category that is having high-risk. Then it is about facing highly professional criminals and might have to land in torture cellars. And then there is another challenge that is beyond their imagination. That is the crux of the story of The Lost Bible by Liora Rosenman. There are 14 chapters in this book. Haifa University in Israel is looking for a research assistant for their history department. The job is not simple. It is, in fact, an altogether different kind of project belonging to Renaissance era. Hannah has appropriate Masters degree as per the requirement of this job. She also fulfills the other requirements. Like, proficiency in one of the European language and relevant research experience.

Does Hanna know what is there in store for her when she opts for this project? Probably she doesn't. The story begins with right kind of atmosphere. Gradually, it takes its own pace to take its readers along the high level of mysteries and suspense. In short, The Lost Bible will not disappoint you at all.

The Lost Bible is an intriguing, suspenseful romance novel that combines religion, philosophy, mythology, history and mystery in an exciting, edge-of-your-seat rollercoaster of a book.

Hannah finds herself suddenly stuck in the middle of her life, her young years behind her, the future clouded in mystery. She has no job or husband, and she lacks a sense of direction of where to go next. Following a promising ad, she ends up on the adventure of a lifetime as she helps a professor search for the lost copy of the Gutenberg Bible, last seen in the sixteenth century.

From deciphering texts and entering ancient, crumbling monasteries, this book is like a mix of Indiana Jones and Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code – and then an even bigger challenge awaits our main characters…

I like reading mystery or thriller stories with a backdrop of historic era. And The Lost Bible: An Adventure Paranormal Novel (Mystery & Action Fiction Book 1) by L Rosenman is just that. Alng with mystery wrapped in history, it also has romance and adventure. It is not just another romantic thriller. It’s a unique story with many layers to it. The Lost Bible has many twists and turns which make it a real page turner. It’s captivating, it’s interesting and it’s different.
The plot is very nice though at some places I found the narration to be a bit draggy. The language is simple and the ending; superb.
The cover and title both are very catchy and attractive and have the capability to attract readers instantly.
Overall, The Lost Bible is an interesting and intriguing book that will keep you hooked till the end. Recommended to all mystery lovers.

Bible of Mystery

Hanna is a Jewish woman who is looking for a job to take care of her young son. Micheal is a professor at the University of Haifa looking for an assistant to help him with his latest research. They form a formidable duo on the hunt for a lost Gutenberg Bible that was hidden away by a royal of the Bourbon family. There is a story of adventure throughout Europe as well as the back stories of Hanna and Micheal's childhood. We are also given a history lesson of Willem of Orange and his wife Charlotte. Interspersed with a little paranormal happenings of things being seen by Hanna albeit her dreams makes this an interesting story.

It wasn't quite what I thought it would be and took me way longer to read than a book this size usually does. It definitely wasn't a 'can't put this book down' kind of book for me. The story interweaves several other story lines from the past. I had a hard time with the way these stories were interjected within the main story. It made the story seem disjointed. I did enjoy the historical aspects included and wished this had been more developed. There really wasn't much character development. What we learn about the main characters is by way of them telling each other their life's story. I didn't feel that there was really any emotional development between the main characters that led them to where the end up. To me, the story was emotionally flat.

Very disappointing.

This book is unorganized and the author jumps from one stream of consciousness from the next with no obvious correlation between her musings. It was like listening to a conversation between two people with ADHD. I was unable to finish the book.. I did skip to the last 2 chapters to see if the author,'s writing style improved, but in my humble opinion it did not. I loathe giving a poor review, I usually can find some redeeming qualities in a book, but not this time. I don't know if this book was originally written in Hebrew and was not translated properly. Its a shame because the premise intrigued me.

I seldom give up on a book, but I was very tempted with this one. I just didn't like it, couldn't follow it, etc. Perhaps some of it had to do with the translation, which I don't feel was well done. Maybe it was the story itself, which just seemed confused and convoluted. But maybe that was related to the translation as well. Regardless, I just couldn't get into it. I did finish it, but skimmed through large sections.

Badly translated, to the extent that huge amounts of text didn't make any sense in English. I got about half way through and had to give up. One to avoid.
