The Ward Brothers book three: Betrayal
Tommy Lee and Millie have fought hard for every inch of what they have built, the gym, the protection rounds, the respect. The fires are out, the enemies buried, and for once the streets are quiet. But peace never lasts long.
When Gary, their dock worker, goes missing and two of their men get arrested for handling stolen cargo, it comes to light something much sinister is going on. Now they must work out who they can trust, before unravelling the mystery.

PJ, having sworn off his old ways, is still finding it hard to navigate life. He loves his son, Patrick, and in a way also his wife Marina. But that pull is always there. When Tommy Lee pays his brothers to bring PJ into the horse business, he finally seems to have found his place. But a chance encounter at a horse fair drags him back to who he really is.
As alliances shift and secrets surface, the family are tested once again.

I love this series, Carol Hellier tell a great tale. I can't wait for the following book.
