About the author

Hiro Mashima (Jap: 真島ヒロ) is a Japanese manga artist.

He gained success with his first serial Rave, published in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine from 1999 to 2005. His best-selling work, Fairy Tail, published in the same magazine from 2006 to 2017, became one of the best-selling manga series with over 72 million copies in print. Mashima began the currently ongoing Edens Zero in 2018.

Fairy Tail won the Kodansha Manga Award for shōnen manga in 2009, and Mashima was given the Harvey Awards International Spotlight award in 2017 and the Fauve Special Award at the 2018 Angoulême International Comics Festival.

There are only a few things I remember from this volume without looking it up again:
- Rebecca fighting completely nude for a while (the peakest Mashima)
- Professor and pre-Professor Weisz together at last! (paradoxes need not apply, since non-Professor is a copy)
- vido gaemz

As I commented on Bleach 4, the series has relatively loose continuity where things that happened earlier in the series may have minimal to do with what happens later, such that the earlier things could have not happened at all and the series wouldn't have changed in the slightest. This is both less and MORE true for Edens Zero, since they have "reset" EVERY universe such that most of what happened in the past is a vague memory to the main characters (and pretty much only they remember anything at all). Even their experiences in Universe Zero are kind of "Resolve a problem so you can proceed to forget about it" plot points; the main thing is to ensure to show some action and some skin, preferably both in the same scenes.

The series is definitely getting long in the tooth by now. Rated four of five stars mostly because it's fun seeing Old and Young Weisz interacting.

3.5/5 Considering the series is closing in on its conclusion this volume feels a little bit like padding. One of Universe Zero’s new Oracion Seis members Joker Helix show’s up and attacks the crew while they are on Planet Miltz. This all ties in with future Weisz. It was still fun but a bit fluffy and unnecessary. Then we dive into a few chapters which seem to be leading into the secret past of the Four Shining Stars and Pino.
