Top Tier Cookie’s!!! ( if you know what I mean 😈😂)
That Cookie has EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE in a SERIOUS CHOKEHOLD!!!! There’s so much I want to break down and claim as my favorite moments but there’s so many. I will say this, the references to the black culture in this book was chef’s kiss because it made the story funny, relatable as always coming from the FMC. This book was Sugar, Spice and everything Nice. I can not wait for part 2! Bravo Rosey 😊💕👏👏

There wasn’t a single part of Cookie: Part 1 that didn’t pull me in completely. From the moments of misunderstanding to the tangled web of emotions that bound Connie to everyone around her, I found myself lost in her world — and loving every second of it.
What stood out most to me were the misunderstandings — those fragile, human moments when feelings are misread or trust wavers. They made the story feel so real. I’ve felt that same ache, that same fear of being misunderstood, and I could feel Connie’s confusion and pain as if they were my own.
Then there was her relationship with Grandpa Viktor — one of my favorite parts. There was something so grounding and comforting about it. His love, in its own quiet and unconventional way, was a reminder that even in the darkest stories, there’s always someone who sees your worth. I could sense Connie’s longing for stability and belonging in their bond, and it touched me deeply.
Her fall for Misha was like watching fire meet vulnerability. I could feel her resistance crumble, her heart fighting what her soul already knew. Misha’s presence was raw and emotional — the kind of connection that terrifies you because it feels too real. I related to that conflict: wanting to protect your heart but also craving the one person who can truly reach it.

So frustrating
This story had so much potential but it just left me more frustrated than anything.
Firstly, I couldn't get past the writing. The narration was not in any way shape or form formal, which didn't bother me in the least. However, there were so many errors, words missing, unfinished sentences, typos, syntax issues, inconsistencies, etc. It's almost like there was barely any editing and proofreading done. Additionally, the accent written orally throughout the dialogue got very tedious. It was really hard not to DNF the book because the writing alone kept taking me out of the story.
Secondly, it was hard to root for Cookie, the protagonist, because she was so messy. The cheating was already annoying but then she chose to rub it in Veronica's face only to turn around and say she had no dog in the fight. She did what she wanted whenever she wanted without any care for the consequences or the people who would be affected by her actions. The whole thing was just toxic and yet people kept treating her like she was this perfect, fragile, innocent little angel who was never in the wrong. And let's not forget how she kept purposefully ignoring the glaring red flags smacking her in the face.
Now, I must say that the intimate scenes were pure filth in the best way! This author has one of the dirtiest mind and writes the most inventive scenarios which had my jaw constantly on the floor. However, I feel like this book could've been shorter considering how much we still don't know about the Bershovs, who they truly are, and how their society really works(trying hard not to spoil anything). That part was the most intriguing to me but alas, the story ends somewhat on a cliffhanger.

A Great Storyline
This is a very well thought out story and character development. This book is a great read and sucks you into the fmc’s world. I love how it’s based on reality and fantasy, all of us want a no questions asked, luxurious, all expenses paid sex vacation!
I started reading Ms Marie several years ago with her first series release with poor editing but an amazing penchant for storytelling. I became extremely impressed and excited to read her books. She has improved dramatically over time and she surprises me still with the way she seems to have an effortless ability to create scenes, landscapes and worlds. I also love the art added in to clarify the rooms or scenery she is describing as well as the references to characters in her other books. She delves into a diverse range of subjects and is an exceptional author.
This book is one to start on if you haven’t read any of her books.

Not for everyone...
This was a bit much for me. Maybe others will enjoy it more.
However, I do have some concerns regarding Miss Marie. I have been a longtime reader of her books. But lately something has changed. It feels to me like she's using Amazon to advertise the books she's selling on Patreon. In the last year, she has advertised books and they have disappeared only to show up on her Patreon page. It feels like if you do not subscribe and pay more for her books on that page you do not get the full Miss Marie experience. Most people don't have extra dollars these days so we are left out. I guess that's capitalism at his finest right? FYI...I've bought almost all her books. I even have the original "Irish Don" book. So I have paid and supported her. But I'm tapping out.

the style of writing
The story wasn’t my particular taste, but it wasn’t bad. The problem was all the “z” and “v” words. If you said to me, these people have a heavy Russian accent, and wrote the words in regular English, I would have heard th accent without read “vee “ and “zhat”. But putting it in there like that my brain was trying way too hard to read and understand. I skipped through a lot of it because it took too much work to simple sentences. And I’m annoyed cuz I like Rose Marie, but that’s the same reason I didn’t read any of the Irish Don books. I heard they were good, I just had to work way too hard to read it. Maybe there’s an audio version where it makes sense and I don’t have to see it like that but it really made it hard to follow.

Good start
I liked the beginning of the series, but I was hoping that Connie would have at least found out what all of her loves and friends were. The sex scenes were out of this world, and I love that Misha will go against everything and everyone to be with Connie. I loved the dynamic between Connie, Misha, Dimitri, and Nadya. I wish that she could be with all four of them, Alik included. I really would love to see her get it on with Grandpa Viktor too, but all-in-all it was a pretty good story.

Ghost Pepper Hot!
I've been told to officially ban all of her books. They are just too damn good and my husband can't take it. Her stories get me so worked up that I need a release. "Cookie" is out of control! The sex scenes will have you changing your underwear and the story line will keep you turning the page to find out what happens next. Top marks Ms. Rose Marie. I'm anxiously awaiting the release of part 2.

Spicy and great storyline!
This is an amazing book! Just what I was looking for I am a personal fan of poly romance and I love that the FMC was someone I could relate to as a black woman and her personality! I won’t spoil anything but definitely heed the trigger warnings and enjoy the ride! Anything Rosie writes is amazing and she does a phenomenal job of captivating her audience! Can’t wait for the next part and was a very delicious book with the small gems she dropped throughout the book! Thank you Rosie for giving us exactly what we needed 💕💕
