Some summers change everything. The summer of 1984 destroyed Nora’s life, but forty years later, she’s finally returned to Nantucket to confront the truth.

In the summer of 1984, Nora’s life shattered when her parents died in a car accident. Sent to live with her wealthy aunt and uncle on Nantucket Island, she’s expected to earn her keep as a live-in babysitter. But the glamorous world she’s thrust into is filled with secrets, whispers of scandal—and, Nora is certain, murder.

The only person who seems to understand what’s really happening is Max, the handsome seventeen-year-old who becomes both her ally and her greatest mystery. Together, they uncover clues about Nora’s aunt and uncle—and about a summer that will haunt Nora for the rest of her life.

More than forty years later, newly divorced and reeling from a devastating loss in her family, Nora returns to Nantucket. Broken-hearted, she finds unexpected comfort in Hilary Salt and the close-knit Salt Sisters, who help her begin to face the past she’s tried so hard to bury.

But when Nora unexpectedly encounters Max again—now the author of a book about the summer that changed their lives—old wounds reopen, and long-hidden truths rise to the surface.

Can Nora finally confront what happened all those years ago?

Can she rebuild her life from the pieces left behind?

And might the island where everything fell apart be the place where she learns to love again?

Seabreeze Dreams is book nine of The Salt Sisters Series, a heart-wrenching yet hopeful family drama that unfolds on the glittering shores of Nantucket Island.

I know Katie Winters' books are classified as romances, but they're much more complex than a simple happily ever after. This book exemplifies her innovative story lines. What begins as a simple story of Nora living with her aunt and uncle after her parents' deaths, transforms into a scenario based on the past and the sordid lifestyle of the uber-rich. Her romance with Max on Nantucket when she was a teenager has a definite influence on her adult life. I highly recommend this book.

Seabreeze Dreams is another great book by Katie Winters. It is part of the Salt Sisters’ series. It shows us life is not easy but we are stronger and can handle what is dealt to us. Life is a process that we need to respect and go with! The bond of female friends is so very important to loving and really living!

I love second chances and Max and Nora gave us a great one. As usual Katie shares the Salt Sisters and their welcoming spirit as they pulled Nora into the fold. Nantucket once again brings secrets, deception, dysfunction, friendship, family and romance in a wonderfully written story!! 💕💕
