Megan Winters had lusted over Troy Harris, drummer for international rock band Power Station, for years. Not being the type of girl who was invited backstage, her fantasies had stayed just that, fantasies. When her best friend unexpectedly starts dating one of the other band members it puts her on a crash course at war with her libido. Her solution— they need to have sex. Surely once she had scratched that itch, and saw the fantasy didn’t live up to the reality she could move on. I mean, what could possibly go wrong?

Troy Harris vowed to stay away from Megs. The sexy, smart and funny blonde left his mind and his body feeling like a pretzel. No matter how attracted he was to her, she was a no-go zone. The best friend of his best friend’s girlfriend? Cue the reality show. But when she gives him the chance to have a one-night no strings good time, there was no way he could turn that down. Maybe she was right. One night, and then they could go back to being just friends.

Both of them were delusional.

Book two of the Power Station series.

5 ‘Tory Harris’ stars!

 photo e42ae712-8b1c-4f5e-82c6-5ea887ee333d_zpsb3cb05da.jpg

If you’ve read High Strung (and if you haven’t, you should) you know all about Dan’s band mate and best friend, Troy Harris, and Ash’s best friend, Megs. When I read book one in this series, Megs made me laugh so hard… the bar scene with her was one of the funniest parts of the book. So when I saw that this was their book, Megs and Troy, I jumped at the chance to read it! And I’m so glad I did! As much as I enjoyed book one, this was even funnier, even sexier and just hit my love buttons!

Megs Winters is a professional. She comes from a family of doctors and she is good at what she does. But she’s got this other side. This side that is fun and a little crazy. She loves the band Power Station, especially the drummer, Troy Harris. Now that she knows Troy, it still doesn’t make being around him easier.
“God, you’re sexy.” It leapt out of my mouth before I had a chance to stop.
“I can’t believe I actually called you. Can you just sit on the phone with me a while and breathe.”

Megs will have you rolling with laughter from the very beginning of this story. She and Troy are extremely attracted to one another, but have decided seeing each other would be bad. Both of their best friends are together and happy. It’s a recipe for disaster to start a relationship. But maybe one night… one night of no strings attached sex would be okay.

 photo a65dec11-d4f5-4f8a-aaa9-1fe24687f3ec_zps04b516ae.jpg

But this one night wasn’t just sex. It was phenomenal sex. The best sex of their lives. How can you just have one night of that kind of sex? Is it even possible? So an idea is born…
“Who said anything about dating? No, I’m talking about fucking. Just sex. Purely physical.”

I know that the friends with benefits books have been done before. But there was something different about this, something better. It was just one of those reads I didn’t want to put down. There was a bit of predictability, but also a few thing that I didn’t see coming. It was just such an entertaining and enjoyable read. Megs and Troy… Their chemistry is off the charts high. And the more they’re together, the more they know… they’re in big trouble. Because mixing friendship and amazing sex and expecting no feelings to be involved is just crazy.

I love a good rockstar book. Troy was a sweet and charming rocker. He is a good guy, a star wars nerd, and covered in tattoo’s- I liked him a lot, but Megs was the one who really stole the show for me. I just think she has the most fun personality and she made me laugh so many times. She’s smart, hilarious and just a character. Her early obsession with Troy is just too much, but there is so much more to her than just a funny girl. I love how she cares about others and it shows through her work.

 photo 66291c10-6db8-4976-b52f-c6d280834fb5_zps7e8244b2.jpg

It’s safe to say that these Power Station books are moving up to be some of my favorite rocker books out there. The perfect mix of laugh out loud humor, sexiness, and yes, there is even some emotion thrown it. No over the top drama, tons of banter, friendship and love. The writing is fantastic and its’ just so damn entertaining! If you’re looking for something with an amazing heroine and rockstar hero that will make you laugh out loud, that's swoony and hot- pick this one up!
“Where’s the fun in a smooth ride? I’d take crashing and burning with you than easy with someone else.”

TROY HARRIS! I Loved him, he was super sweet and I loved his sassy heroine Megs. If you have read High Strung then you will know that Troy is the drummer in the band, and Megs is the best friend of band-mate Dan's girlfriend, Ash.

Megs is a superfan, she adores Power Station and she is not ashamed to say that Troy is her favourite, so when her bestie gets together with Dan, she is in her element - this is her chance to get close to the super sexy Troy Harris.

Troy finds her adorable, the way she always says his full name, the fun side that comes out when she's drunk, the fact that she is not afraid to admit she Google's him. He thinks she is the best thing since sliced bread, but he does not want to make things awkward for his friend Dan, if things happened and didn't work out, it would be complicated all round.

Megs is a psychologist, and has a really heavy going job and that with the added pressure of living up to everyone expectations of having come from a family of doctors is tough on her. She wants to let off steam, she wants sex, and she wants it from Troy Harris. She offers her self up to him, no strings and it's only so long before his will power crumbles.

This is a friends with benefits - to lovers story. It was fun and light but also emotional and the sex was h.o.t!

Enjoyed this a lot :)

This is a standalone novel, told in dual POV.

When I first dove into High Strung I was instantly hooked, the easy camaraderie between Dan and Troy had me laughing, the sisterhood between Megan and Ash unquestionable, for a girl like me I understood that bond, the love you can have for your friends is fierce, closer than family, and picking up Crash Ride was like catching up with old mates, the absolute ease in which I sunk back into the world of Power Station is a testament to the writer that T Gephart is.

To say I adored Dan and Ash would be an understatement, but the nervous energy and eager excitement I had to dive into Meg and Troy's world was second to none, dropping all other books the moment Crash Ride hit my kindle.

Megs is the kind of woman I want to be when I grow up, self possessed, strong, career driven, focused, and yet able to unwind and have fun with friends, confidence is sexy, and Megs has it all in spades. Her obsession with Power Station rocker Troy Harris made her that little bit more approachable, more real.

Despite dealing with some heavy themes, Crash Ride is jam packed with the kind of laughter that I've come to expect from Gephart. The attraction between a normal woman and and the out of reach rocker felt so real, we've all been there, lusted after someone who is pie in the sky out of reach, but when Megs best friend becomes involved with Troy's band and best mate, suddenly the man of her dirty dirty dreams is in arms reach.

With a good dose of fun and frivolity and the right balance of heart and soul Crash is the kind of book I love diving into. I could tell you about how Megs brash approach to get Troy's attention was both crazy and endearing. I could tell you that I adored how Megs is balls to the wall in everything she does, how I loved that she let her crazy out, I loved that through phone calls, text messages and late night hook ups, we get to see this relationship bloom, I loved that Gephart's words played in my mind like a movie reel and I love that after everything is said and done I'm still calling him Troy Harris. The boys from Power Station have quickly captured my heart and are showing no signs of letting go.

Sooooooooo....High Strung was one of my top books of 2014. When I saw the sign up for Crash Ride, I screamed, began twerking around my kitchen and could not wait to get my hands on Troy Harris.
Tina Gephart writes with a lot of heart and intensity. But what stands out for me the most in this series is the humour. I'm not talking giggles here and there, I'm talking full belly grandpa wheezy laughs that make you feel like you are going to pass out.

We met Megs and Troy In High Strung. I wanted her as my best friend, I wanted to drink cocktails with her and address everyone with their first AND surnames because that is a drunk trait of my own, so to see it written in a book made me snort so hard!
Megs internal dialogue is so funny, her no filter is what makes her character really sparkle!! I wanted chemistry between these two characters to evolve into something magical in Crash Ride and Tina Gephart did not disappoint.
They both FANCY THE FRIGGIN PANTS OFF EACH OTHER! But not wanting to ruin the "friend zone" is the one barrier that prevents them from being together. So Megs decides on a "ONE NIGHT ONLY" with Troy Harris deal, to bang him out of her system....recipe for I DON'T THINK THAT'S GONNA WORK BABE!
The characters together are H.O.T! Their banter is hilarious, but what I also was brought to my knees by was the emotion this book holds.
Troy Harris....SWEET MOTHER OF GOD...... Ever had a fictional character make you want to mount your kindle???? No? READ THIS BOOK! GODDAMIT, he could charm the panties off anything with a pulse! SERIOUSLY! I wish I could live inside Tina's head, with Troy Harris and live happily ever after.
The return of the characters from book one was fantastic and Dan being the asshole that he is was super hilarious!
Tina Gephart, I love your face! I love your writing! I love these amazing characters you continue to grace the book world with! Without a shadow of a doubt this is one of my favourite series of all time. You continue to blow my mind with your writing ability and I cannot wait for Jase's story.

I freaking Loved, Loved, Loved this book. I really enjoyed most of the first book in this series but the ending kind of went off the rails, so I didn't know if I really wanted to invest the time in the sequel and risk being disappointed again...I am so glad I was in the mood to give this book a try, it was so good, I couldn't put it down. I have to say that Troy Harris and Megs are just both such great MC's, funny, witty all around good people. Their story was entertaining and touching, I couldn't recommend it more!

Ohh I luv these two!

I was looking forward to reading this book after the way they were together in High Strung. Mega is a huge Power Station fan so when her friend starts getting close to one of the members so can't help getting excited getting up close and personal with Troy Harris. Troy is the drummer from Power Station. He seemed quiet but compared to he best friend Dan Evans anyone would be quiet. But this guy is sexy and so luving. He is perfect for Megs he is just what she needs. What she want a good time and if it's a member of her favourite band she is all for it. She has seen him so many times in concert and wondered what he hands would feel like. Now it could be the time. Well that's if he didn't turn her down.

Troy is a great character I really like him. He is totally different to the other members of the van he sent to be more lied back. But at the min he wasn't he has a small blonde sassy woman on his mind that he couldn't get rid of. She wasn't like that woman he normally went for she said what was on her mind and that was refreshing. She want him for one thing and one thing only. He could do that one time right? It wasn't like he didn't relationships. Ye Meg as been on his mind for a while but one time would be enough. This guy didn't know what they were going to be like and he got the shock of his life. He had just found his new addiction and it was Meg.

These to were smoking hot together. Throughout this whole book the sexual chemistry was crazy. But they also had a great relationship to just evertything was on daddy forward for them nothing went slow. Everything was at a fast paced with them but they didn't care. It wasn't smooth and they didn't listen to what they wanted and made a bit of a mess of things at times but it was who they were together.

I would highly recommend this book. I luvd Megs and Troy they are just so good together. It was also was great to see more of Dan and Ash. There as crazy as ever well Dan is. I really enjoy this story was near to tears in parts Troy is just amazing it doesn't matter what was thrown at him once Megs was ok he could deal with anything this just made me luv him more. I'm luvin this series so much I'm looking forward to more of this series.

Another amazing book written by T. Gephart! So freakin’ HOT!!! Couldn’t put this one down. I was just so immersed in the story. And, Troy Harris, was one amazing male specimen!!! He’s gorgeous with a bangin’ body! Oh man, there’s just something so irresistible about him that Megan Winters loves. When he’s around she just can’t think straight. Things come out of her mouth that are dirty and naughty. And, what does he think of her? Well, she’s beautiful and smart. A doctor. And, with a body like hers, he’s constantly re-arranging himself. But, their best friends are a couple, and if Troy Harris and Megs don’t work out, it could spell trouble for all. So, they make an arrangement. A “sex only” arrangement, and whatever happens, they won’t let it affect their friendship whatsoever. How long, though, can either one of them keep this up when feelings start getting in the way?

Wow! I just couldn’t put this down! Started reading this in the afternoon and was done by 1am. It was just that mind-blowing! Romance and drama at its best. Holy crap!! The chemistry between the two was off-the-charts HOT!! Tattoos and piercings just added to the heat!!! It was a funny book too. Megs still calling Troy by both first and last name all the time was still hilarious. She had some sense of humor. The whole idea of sneaking around and secret hook-ups just added to the excitement of it all as well. And, of course, there’s still the Power Station guys around with their gorgeous babes. Dan is just such a funny dude – potty mouth and all. While Ashlyn still is a protector and takes care of her man.

Some things happened that brought big tears to my eyes. Didn’t see that happening!! But, Megs is a brave young woman. And, like I said, smart as hell. She knows when she has a good thing and knows when to jump on it as if it could be her lifeline to the future. With Troy Harris by her side, how can anything be but perfect? I loved this book. I’m still smiling about it as I write this review after only having finished reading it twelve hours ago. I’m just so sad that their story is over, however. It was one that I was totally looking forward to, and I was not disappointed at all. There’s just something about this group of guys and their women that is thrilling and desirable. And, I’m so looking forward to Jace’s story! Hopefully I won’t have to wait too long...

“In his eyes I saw the love. I saw his commitment and I hoped he saw the same in mine. There was no mistake on what this was, there was no misunderstanding on what it could be. It was home. Mine. His. Ours.” ~ Megs (pg. 192)

The quote below was so profoundly written that I just had to include it in my review: (and, for the short time that Josh was in the story, he just made it so much more sweet; he genuinely seemed to have such a beautiful soul.)

“There are usually three different types of people who come and get ink. One. the living canvas. For these people their skin is blank pages that they use to tell their story. There is no separation between the art and them. It’s a part of them as much as an ear or a toe. It’s an addiction as well as an expression. Two. The weekend warrior. They go under the needle to earn cool points or to follow trend. These are the people who usually get some lame tribal band around their arm or a tramp stamp. They get tats that are highly visible and often cheesy. I don’t judge, but I assume that five to ten years down the track they will be spending time with a laser. Three. The tortured soul. They use the art as therapy, to memorialize something or a loved one. They mark their skins with tributes and dedications or a connection to something or someone. It’s just for them; displayed or not displayed it wouldn’t mean any more or less.” ~ Josh (pg. 138)

We first met Megs and Troy in High Strung when Troy’s band mate Dan fell for Megs’s best friend Ashlyn. As a stand alone series you don’t need a copy of High Strung to follow this story (although it’s a hilariously funny and sexy book so I recommend you read it too). What you do need to read Crash Ride is a fan. Or simply turn on the air conditioning. No, I’m not crazy. It might be February, but by only 14% in you are going to need to cool yourself down because T. Gephart does an amazing job with the steam factor in these books!

“The charge coming off our bodies would have been enough to power a small country. Energy crisis solved.”

Troy Harris is totally swoon-worthy!

“‘I’ll give you everything you need, and things you didn’t even know you did.’”

He’s sweet, sexy, easy going, and funny but in a much more laid back way than Dan Evans (not that I didn’t also adore Dan). With a Mohawk and pierced you-know-what, he also nails the rock drummer vibe. It won’t take long till you’ll be wishing you were the one screaming “Harder Troy Harris.”

“Maybe Troy’s penis had n in-built flux capacitor and zipped us through the time-space continuum. His talented cock knew no end.”

Dr. Megan Winters is funny too—sometimes she comes off a bit ditzy and I had a little trouble reconciling her personality with her deeper professional job as a psychologist. Their banter kept them entertaining though it was clear that Troy was the more mature, down-to-Earth one while Megs went a little immature at times.

The majority of the book is very light-hearted, funny, and extremely sexy. There are plenty of laugh-out-loud lines. The climax, however, changes the tone of the book a bit. I honestly didn’t see the initial twist coming and then what happens with that situation is definitely a downer. Though everything works out in the end, it slightly shifted the feel of their otherwise upbeat story. Most people will just recognize it for the plot point that it is but having had several friends experience this I will note that it could be a sensitive subject for some readers.

Dan and Ash from High Strung make appearance as they prepare for their nuptials, and the Power Station stories aren’t over yet. Hold on to your drum sticks and guitar picks, Jase’s book is coming out next!

Another great ride into this world filled with hot rockstars. This time we meet a fan.

Megan Winters is a big fan of the band Power Station, but one specific member holds her attention more than the others. Drummer Troy Harris. As luck would have it Megan's best friend shacks up with another band member giving her an in with thé Troy Harris, the guy she has lusted after in forever. Since they can't be together they agree to a one night stand. One night, no strings and they can continue being friends. But is one night enough?

Since the first book I knew there had to be more for these two, mostly because I wanted Megs to have the guy she fantazied about- I mean he's right there so why not. I don't blame her at all. Troy Harris is all kinds of hot.
Now I really loved Megs in the first book, but the trip into her mind I love her even more. The Harry Potter, the shoes and just everything and how she thinks is pretty damn funny.
And Troy Harris, after the first book he was still a bit of a mystery. Sure he was Dan's best friend, but we don't get to know a whole lot about him so pretty great to get to know him better. He's one sexy mystery man. Just after the first chapter with Megs I couldn't wait to dive into his mind and see what he was thinking and feeling.
I love how after it all Megs still calls him his full name, it's pretty sweet and funny.

"Fuck, at this rate I was going to need her to repeat my full fucking name 'cause I sure as hell was having trouble remembering it."

Another great read in the Power Station series with more loveable characters and writing to suck you right in and have you laughing in no time!

I was quite enjoying this, and then we get a much overused plot line that I hate, pregnancy. Overall I like the author's writing style, it's the storylines for me that take away from the ratings of her books. Will read more by her with the hopes that the plots become a little more original or stray away from the usual pitfalls.

Kitty's review posted on Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews

It takes a lot for me to say that I absolutely loved a book. You really have to click with me. You purestdelightawardreally have to have an interesting story. You really have to grab me and hold me from beginning to end. Well, T. Gephart did that to me with Crash Ride.

I fell in love with Troy Harris from the beginning of the book. He had me … heart and soul. He was fun, he was upstanding (for a rock-star drummer) and he was totally head over heels in love with his best friends wife’s best friend. Complicated? Yes. Fulfilling? Hell Yes!

Dr. Megan Winters … a fan of Power Station for ever, crushing on one Troy Harris. Brazen, funny and sexy. Why won’t Troy Harris give her a second look? Why, when she throws herself at him, won’t he pay her any attention? Why, oh why, won’t Troy Harris fulfill all her dreams and just take her to bed once? Complications, that’s why. And, he knows that she would not just be a one-night stand. Megs could be his forever and there is no way he’ll mess up his friendship with Dan if things go south.

Try as they might, their one-night, no strings sexual escape turns into one hell of an affair. They can’t get enough of each other, they can’t stop thinking of each other, they have to, eventually, own up to their little fling. But, not before the wedding of Ash and Dan. They both refuse to screw that up on them.

What did I love most about Crash Ride. The banter – the back-and-forth between Troy Harris and Megs. The way the tried to just let it be one night but couldn’t. And, why do I keep referring to him as Troy Harris instead of Troy? Well, Megs couldn’t call him anything but Troy Harris and I just through that was so damn cute!

But, in all reality, I loved the little twists and turns in the book. I loved the way Megs was written and how T. Gephart just made a total rock star into a normal human being with feelings and the ability to appreciate his fans and his life. He took nothing for granted – loved hard – played harder. But, when it came to his Megs, he would have given it all up for her. Wow, he was just there … burrowed into my heart and didn’t get out. He made me cry and it takes a lot for me to love a male character enough to bring me to tears.

I really need to read Back Stage NOW. I have to see where everything is going …. how Dan and Ash are handling marriage … how Troy Harris and Megan Winters continue their lives. The men of Power Station are wonderful and have me totally hooked on all of their stories. Great writing, a great story line, wonderful characters … what more can you ask for in a book

Review on Blog: http://booklitlove.com/crashride-review-tgephart/

The admiration that I have for Crash Ride by T Gephart can’t step foot to really express truly the depth of how the poised and brilliantly sizzling hot narrative ignited a deep and meaningful imprint on my heart.

There comes a time when a book truly leaves you awe-inspired and with a full heart. Crash Ride was this for me. Troy Harris, as he will forever be known as now, conveyed the utmost of a raw male lead with a fun-filled side of chemistry with strong-minded Meg. Crash Ride personally broke a boundary of walls that ended with a flood-gate of rolling emotions. Troy and Meg’s narrative has so much heart and the poignant and expressionistic story-telling will forever be remembered. Gephart has a way of writing novels that truly made the worst of days in reality seemingly limitless.

Gephart’s latest novel focuses on Troy; the drummer of Power Station and Meg; Ashlyn’s (from High Strung) best friend as they exquisitely try the scratch-the-itch of electricity between them, hoping feelings don’t embed them for more. The chemistry ignited from the very first page and Meg’s demeanour graphed the wiz-bang-and-sizzle I love about Gephart’s writing throughout the novel. The emotions recoiled throughout the novel left me desperate to shout from the roof-top of yet again a brilliant novel. I cried, I loved, I wanted to snuggle my kindle in the hopes that Troy Harris would pop out and be reality, as the road of the heart ever is with Gephart’s books.

The flair of heart, the banter of the light; the raw passion and emotional poised a heart-stopping extraordinary flight of chemistry between Troy and Meg. Crash Ride was undeniably HOLY- EXPLETIVE-EXPLETIVE- MY- brain-is-so-fried-I-can’t-think” in my personal opinion, because it sentimentally made me personally smile in the darkest of stressful times in reality. I truly have to thank T Gephart, as the characters were believable, the narrative was flawless in it’s ability to convey emotions and the blend of Troy and Meg’s chemistry made a stripped down perfect fusion of a chemistry that is worth fighting for. The cemented tone of the book was fun, flirty and steamy but was grounded by the hardships of life which truly took my breath away. The evoked range of emotions left me awe-inspired as a reader and Gephart is truly one of those authors that no matter what I will read. 5 emotional, tears-in-my-eyes and a full heart of love stars.

P.S. I can’t wait for J-A-S-E! <3

When Troy meets Megan Winters, his best friend Dan's, wife-to-be's best friend. Yes, that's a word soup... He doesn't think it's a good idea to get involved with Megan aka Megs. I mean, what if something goes wrong and they can't stand being in the same room together? Their friends will have to take sides. And it's not like Dan or Troy will leave the band. Which means awkward rooms and potentially hostile situations. No, he won't do it. But that doesn't mean that whenever Megs is in the same room with him, his blood doesn't pump harding and pools down to a certain pierced place. So when Megan, after having a bad day as a psychologist with one her patients, presents Troy with a one-night-only opportunity, he takes it.

One night isn't enough and soon they are acting like Lexi and Alex. Sneaking around to see each other. That is until one of Megs and Ash's friends devises a plan to out the two. Once they are out in the open, there is no holding them back from each other. Troy knows she's the girl for him always. And Megs, who's a little bit crazy and calls Troy, "Troy Harris" all the time, has alway had special feelings for him. She just thought it was a fan crush.

When tragedy strikes, they grow even stronger together and dive into a relationship and a love that can never be broken even by heartbreak.

These books got better and better with each installment. Although the author needs to find a good editor or beta reader, because there were a lot of grammar errors. But that didn't take away from how funny and sweet these books are. I really enjoyed the Power Station men and how each one fell in love.

I have to say aside from Alex in the Lexi series, Troy is my favorite. He's the guy who is good to everyone. A loyal friend and a good guy who doesn't want to use women, no matter how many of them throw themselves at him. Doesn't mean he doesn't indulge, he just is a good guy about it.

This was just great. I highly recommend this series. I know the next book is the end of Power Station. But I'm hoping the author will do as she did with the Lexi series, and spin off into some of the other characters in the books.

Yes! More from the Power Station guys! It's felt way too long since Dan and Ash's book. But, here we are. It's time for Megs and Troy Harris! *sitting down dance*

We'd met both characters briefly what with them being Dan and Ashlyn's respective best friends and so knew that Megs had more than a thing for Troy. And she certainly made an impression on him.

Yet, they agreed for the sake of their friendship and the relationships intertwined between the two BFFs and two band members to not take this chemistry and lust anywhere.

Fast forward 6 months. They had been doing well. Until that one night. Yes. Uglies were bumped!

Anyway, I won't spoil the story for anyone. But there are twists, turns and speed bumps in the road. Inner turmoil, outer banter and tears. This book has it all.

As I found with High Strung, Tina pours her soul and spirit into every word, page and chapter. I laughed alongside and at the characters; I cried when their tale deserved every tear I spilt; and I loved. Hard. Every joke, every outspoken statement, every raised voice.

This series is fast becoming a strong favourite, I love the cheeky yet delectably delicious men and I adore, FLOVE and want to be the sassy women that Tina writes oh-so-well!

I could not recommend Crash Ride enough - it's well deserving of its 5 stars and more. Thank you, Tina, for another one for my paperback collection! <3

I shall leave you with my two favourite quotes. One from Troy Harris and one from Megs.

"Fuck, at this rate I was going to need her to repeat my full fucking name 'cause I sure as hell was having trouble remembering it."

"Troy and I were fine, now. I could even look at him and not need to stick panty liners under my armpits to stem the ridiculous amount of perspiration he seemed to induce. See? Totally, fucking, fine."

Intrigued? Go and buy it, you'll never regret it!

Oh, and High Strung fans. Yes, there is more Dan and I swear I nearly wet myself laughing at him! :)

Well Fuck.

Yep.

That’s it.

Nothing else to say.
...

...
EXCEPT

HOW the hell did I not read T Gephart before?????

I’m lying of course because, as usual, I have something to say! But I am scratching my head this morning wondering how on earth I missed her. I started this yesterday but stayed up until the early hours of this morning to finish it. One hit, I could not put it down. I’ve been a little bored and jaded lately when reading rockers, bikers and billionaires because the whole bloody market is so over saturated, quantity of choice but not always so much quality so to come across not only a book that was such addictive reading when I had no expectations at all was a surprise, for it to be a rocker book just shows its calibre, this is going to be a favourite without doubt. The book and the author.

^^^^^ This was the start of my review for High Strung last year which was my first outing with T Gephart and the start of the Power Station books, every single word applies this time round and the only way to start this one off is………………….

WELL FUCK. CAPS LOCK. FUCKITY FUCK FUCK FUCK.

This is because the more excited I get the more profanity I use, not going to apologise for it as I’m too old and cantankerous to be bothered to change my ways and the reason for the amount of fucks given is the excitement I can`t contain after finishing Crash Ride. Because I loved it. Full on, scary joker smile as I was reading, all the way thru. It`s that good. Funny, sexy, sarky & smart ass, loving, poignant and full of feels, Crash Ride was just a joy from start to finish.

I really connected with Megs and Troy Harris (he has to have full name used, just go with it and read the book!) both separately and as a couple. The attraction and chemistry between them is off the charts hot, it scorches the pages and when combined with the humour that Ms Gephart weaves so effortlessly it’s just delicious. Hot as fuck (yes another fuck I give!) but with a sexy sweetness that pulls you in and doesn`t let go, no dips, no loss of interest, nothing but a rollercoaster fast ride that you scream along with Megs for faster, harder, more.

If anything was going to make me forget my crap-tastic day at work, it was Troy Harris. Ah, sigh. He was like the Holy Grail of good times wrapped up in one badass package.

Even though Megs wants the Holy Grail she doesn`t want to mess up her friendship with Ash if any awkward break up was to happen so refuses to go there, however sex with no relationship? Just once? That couldn`t harm. Could it? And so our lovely pull and push, magnets drawn to each other courtship that neither acknowledge begins…………

Megs embraces life full on, she has a 'joie de vivre' that calls to you and draws you in and the most hilarious inner monologues, I highlighted far too many to include but had to put these three in:

I would go cold turkey and there would be no more slipups. Yeah, because that`s what happened. We accidently found ourselves naked and his penis slipped into my vagina-again.

Not to mention his amazing, long, hard co… Damn it! I was supposed to not be thinking about it and now all I can do is think about it. I wonder if I asked nicely if he`d let me take a mold for a dildo? Everyone is so DYI these days. That wouldn’t be creepy at all. Yep. I was a self-diagnosed deviant nymphomaniac with addiction disorder. Glad all those years at Georgetown paid off, my parents must be so proud.

How long were we gone? Had Marty McFly shown up in his Delorean and we’d somehow time travelled? Maybe Troy’s penis had an in-built flux capacitor and zipped us through the time-space continuum. His talented cock knew no end.

Troy Harris (full name again, hope you noticed!) is delicious, we didn`t really get to know him too well in High Strung because Dan and his ego allow no room for anyone else! He`s strong, thoughtful, downright dirty and sexy. A Rock God book boyfriend delivered from heaven, even though he doesn`t drink coffee. Quelle horreur!

Through drunk calls, flirty text messages pushing for responses, slip ups always somehow ending up in naked sex and the heartache I didn’t see coming at all, these two will steal your heart and make you smile. Huge. It`s a total winning cocktail and this series is going from strength to strength, the secondary characters making appearances, the banter between all but especially with our two leading protagonists, the humour and the hotness, it all is perfection. An easy read that stays in your thoughts, makes you happy, gives you unicorns and rainbows with a dirty humorous sexy ride, what’s not to love. T Gephart

I'm completely and utterly in love with this series! When I heard we were getting more of Power Station I was all over it the instant it hit my kindle!! Especially as we get to read all about Megs and Troy Harris!! They were such great characters in the first book, especially Megs who I find absolutely hilarious!

The beginning of the book covers the very first time the girls meet Power Station and the start of Dan and Ash's truly brilliant relationship drama. Megan has always loved, and by loved I mean borderline obsessive stalker loved, the band Power Station and her passion for drummer Troy Harris is widely known. So when she gets to meet the main man himself it's no surprise she throws herself at him - literally.

But Troy made himself and Dan a promise that he would never date/sleep with a girl that would complicate their friendship. Dating the bestfriend of his bestfriend's girlfriend? Yeah that's pretty damn complicated. So he vows to stay away from her and stay firmly in the friend-zone. But with some pretty heavy tension between the two of them it isn't easy.

When Megs in her great wisdom decides they just need one night together - one night to scratch the itch and get over their feelings - then go back to how they were, Troy is unable to say no.

Of course nothing is ever that easy, and one night will never be enough.

What started out as something that was never meant to be complicated goes to become one giant clusterf*ck, and when shit hits the fan will it be too late?

With some incredibly funny scenes that I've now come to expect from T Gephart I completely adored reading this next instalment. Megs is just so brash and down right hilarious - hers and Troy's relationship was great and their phone conversations were A-MA-ZING! But at the same time this book deals with some pretty heavy stuff which was just so beautifully written and didn't bring the story down but instead gave it yet another level.

Megs is definitely my favourite kind of crazy and her Power Station obsession was one of the best things about the book. The fact Dan and Ash, as well as the rest of Power Station, were also quite prominent in the book also was even better - I love these guys!

The boys of Power Station are well and truly on my list of go to book boyfriends now, and they are showing no signs of coming off it if the series continues to be as fabulous!

Crash Ride is witty and the best kind of crazy with a massive side-helping of sexy and a whole lot of feels. If you're not obsessing over Power Station as much as Megs by the end of the book you obviously didn't read it properly.

“Does this feel real?”

From the moment Troy and Megs met in High Strung, I was excited for their story. She was silly and he was amused, which left me wanting more. By the second page of Crash Ride, Megs was already cracking me up. Their story was beyond funny, super sexy, and made me giddy.

It’s no secret, especially when she gets drunk, that Megs is a huge Power Station fan. The night she meets Troy Harris, the drummer, she shamelessly throws herself at him and follows it up with a drunk dial a few months later. The things that come out of her mouth around him are hilarious! I couldn’t stop laughing. Instead of calling him Troy she insists on calling him ‘Troy Harris’ . . . frequently. It's so cute.

Now months later, their best friends, Dan and Ash, are in it for the long haul. Megs has sort of resigned herself to the fact that nothing will ever happen between her and Troy. But a night out with the four friends proves otherwise. Being the standup guy he is, Troy doesn’t want to put their best friends in an uncomfortable position if things don’t work out. The solution . . . one night together to get over their infatuation.

What starts off as a sexy romp in the back of his SUV turns into a full night of incredible sex. It’s intense and so HOT! One night turns into two, which turns into them deciding that just maybe they can make the whole friends with benefits thing work. But with their insane chemistry, there’s no way feelings won’t get involved.

“So. . . where does that leave us?”

High Strung was a great book, but I think the author stepped it up another notch with Crash Ride. It was funnier, sexier and there were a few things I didn’t see coming. Friends with benefits tends to happen a lot in this genre, but this somehow felt different.

“Will you hold my hand?”
“Never going to stop, Megs, never going to stop.”

Both Megs and Troy made this a great book. I can’t say enough that Troy was perfection in my eyes. He was so supportive and sweet. The tender moments between them made me fall for him even more. I really dug Megs too. She was smart and not afraid to be herself. Both girls in this series have been strong and to me that was refreshing.

I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us with Back Stage.

WOW. I’d have to really say that I love Troy Harris a teeny bit more than Dan Evans. They were different personalities but I’m definitely rooting for a Troy Harris in my life. This book has kept me up until three AM (my fault since I started it late at night and was stupid enough to think I can stop reading Troy freaking Harris) and I have no regrets! With enchanting characters and the ever-fun dialogues mixed with tons of heat, this book has totally crashed itself right into my favorites shelf!

He wasn’t mine, he had never been mine and there would never be a time he would be.

Megs was a completely badass character. The mix of sass and intellect could really make a woman so dangerous and Meg owned that up throughout the book. She had an obsession with Troy Harris ever since she knew about Power Station. Somehow, that hot drummer with a Mohawk had managed to own every inch of her hot dreams. But she was convinced that it was just infatuation and it will be cured with a taste. Or two. Or hell, maybe more.

But the minute that I had her, there was no way I could pretend she didn’t matter, that I didn’t want her.

Troy Harris was Power Station’s drummer and that label had women flinging themselves at him at all times. But never did he even imagine that he would want one woman to continue flinging herself at him. Troy was very different from Dan and I loved every bit of his personality. He was less crass, and was very charming in a sexy good-ish guy kind of way. But even if he wasn’t a full-blooded douche, Troy brought hot in a new Mohawked, Star Wars geek kind of way.

“Where’s the fun in a smooth ride? I’d take crashing and burning with you than easy with someone else.”

I totally loved how T. Gephart smoothly developed the strong connection between Troy and Megs. It started out as fiery desire of bodily need and interest that escalated into a deeper (still hot) passion-filled love. In contrast to Dan and Ash’s banters, Troy and Megs had their own kind teasing—nonsensical chitchats with a lot of feelings. I just really found myself smiling and enjoying every bit of this story and that tinge of heart break made that experience quite remarkable. T. Gephart continues to entice me with her fun and fascinating characters, fired up by her smart and refreshing writing prose.

Holy Cow! Where do I begin, this book was a fun and entertaining to read. Megs and Troy's story was one for the record books. The bedroom scenes were so so so HOT! The characters were amazingly well written and incredibly fun to learn about.

Troy Harris is the drummer of the rock band Power Station and he has been just coasting through life, enjoying his fame and watching his friends find their lucky ladies. Troy met Megs a few months back when her best friend wanted to tell Dan ( another band member) how she really feels about him and his over big ego. Both Ash and Megs might have had a wee bit too much to drink since Megs was hanging all over Troy her secret crush. But that night it was no longer a secret. The whole night Megs called Troy, by his whole name, that's when things started to get interesting for Troy. Troy gets a phone call a few weeks later from the lovely Megs, again she might have had too much to drink, he tells her he will come and get her and drive her home. Can Troy keep his vow of staying away from the cute, smart and crazy sexy as hell Megs?!

Megs has had a small obsession with Troy Harris of the rock band Power Station. They meet a few months back when she was so drunk she could not imagine the things she said and did to Troy Harris. She knows that she can't have him, but it does not hurt to try. One night she calls him and he comes and picks her up, she lays it out on the line and asked if he wants to be friends with "benefits" he says No but that does not stop our girl Megs! What would you do if your secret crush agreed to make all of your dreams come true??

I loved both Megs and Tory's characters they were so much fun to read and be involved with. Megs has so much spunk, full of life and I kinda wish she was my friend too!! Tory even though he is rock star he is so down to earth and the way he treats Megs, it's just so sweet and touching. I would recommend this book for anyone that is looking for a book that will take you away on a fun, exciting and sexy as hell journey!

I would rate this book 5 out of 5 fangs

This is the second book in the Power Station series. I fell in love with Dan Evans in book one! And book two brings us the story of their drummer Troy Harris. I loved the banter between the guys in both books, and the banter between them and the girls was wonderful as well.

"Didn't you have a date?" Dan looked over his shoulder as we walked into the living room....."Yep, Lacey. Masturbating with a cheese grater would've been less painful. I called time early and bailed." It wasn't an exaggeration. I was so done with airhead bimbos....

"Wow, Ash, I think you've spent too much time with Dan and he has burrowed inside your brain. If you start calling me a douchebag, I'm tell you right now, I'm going to stage an intervention."

Ash's best friend Megs has had a crush on Troy Harris since she was young. When Ash starts dating Dan, Megs gets a chance to meet him. She thinks that having sex once with Troy will allow her to move on and get him out of her head.

Their crazy wild one night stand behind them, they decide they need to stay in the friend zone, so as not to mess things up between themselves or between Dan and Ash. Except the one night stand does nothing to curb Megs feelings for him. So initially they fall into a great friendship doing crazy things like calling each other with funny quips on a daily basis.

"Hey Megs." "Hey, Troy Harris."
"I used your address to do some internet shopping. I know I should have asked firs, but we're so cool with each other, I figured you'd say yes. I really hate it when people see my name and address and then before you know it...boom a stalker."
"Sure, no problem at all. What did you buy?"
"Chinese throwing stars and a sword. Hopefully it doesn't get flagged by the FBI; you don't have an existing record do you?"

This is a light, easy and funny read. But there are some emotional hills and valleys you will travel through.

I loved the chapter POV's from both Troy and Megs, as Ms. Gephart did with book one as well. I am thoroughly enjoying this series and look forward to Jase's book!

The thing I hate about most romances is the whiney female lead who doesn’t stand up for herself and doesn’t have enough personal strength to deal with what life throws at her...This book definitely wasn’t like that!

Megan Winters (or Megs to her friends) is a very strong woman who knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to after it...even when she’s drunk dialing.

Troy Harris is a drummer in Megs’ favorite band. She’s had the hots for him forever and was lucky enough to meet him last year. They were just friends, but Megs always wanted more. As it turns out, so did Troy.

Their relationship was rocky and secretive, but it was so great. I loved the humor that they had with each other and the way they just seemed to perfectly melt together. Humor was so great in this book. I think my favorite passage came when Megs was coming back into a club after a streetside encounter with Troy:

How long were we gone? Had Marty McFly shown up in his Delorean and we’d somehow time travelled? Maybe Troy’s penis had an in-built flux capacitor and zipped us through the time-space continuum. His talented cock knew no end.

Troy is the perfect book boyfriend, too. He really cares for Megs deeply and he shows her his love unconditionally. When tragedy struck, he didn’t care. He was right beside her where he needed to be. When she was worried their relationship would complicate other people’s lives and events, he just wouldn’t hear of it:

Complicated, crazy --- none of it mattered to me. “Where’s the fun in a smooth ride? I’d take crashing and burning with you than easy with someone else.”

The support cast of characters were great, too. And even though I hadn’t read the first book (High Strung), I never felt lost of like I wasn’t getting the full story. I love when series can be read as a stand alone without too much history and with just enough to make you want to go back and read that book, too. (((Which I will definitely be doing.)))

This book really pulled my emotions all over the place. I laughed until I cried. I cried because I was sad. I cried because I was happy. Really, everything about this book was so great. I can’t wait to read more from this author!!!

After reading High Strung, I thought that Ashlyn and Dan were the cutest couple I'd ever come across... I was soooo wrong. Megs and Troy were ABSOLUTELY a-dor-able!!! Megs was so funny. Her personality was completely different than what you'd expect from knowing her profession... a clinical psychologist.

We already know, after reading High Strung, that she was HUGE Power Station fan. That only added to the craziness of her relationship with Troy. He was literally her obsession and a dream come true.

In the previous novel, Troy was a quite reserved member of the band and I knew right away that I liked him. He seemed like a really good guy, but there was so much of his personality hidden away that we really don't get to really see him until reading Crash Ride. But from the beginning you can see that Troy and Megs were a perfect match. He was smitten from the moment he laid eyes on Megs and they each took a crack at denying their attraction to each other but eventually thought that fighting it was pointless.

OMG, their phone tag conversations were hilarious. I had so many LOL moments reading this book. There was so much easiness and laughter between the two that made the read so easy and quick the next thing you know, you're done.

I will say that no matter the cute banter, and funny, haha moments, there were still a couple hurdles for the couple but this is an absolute recommended read from me.

I love the characters. They aren't just conceited, full of themselves rock stars. They are just really nice guys that happen to be famous which is the appeal to me. They were so normal and the girls they fall in love with are just as normal. They're not running from an evil past or hiding from anything. They're just girls living life and falling in love with rock stars. :)

I can't wait to read Jason's story.

I'd give this one more than 5 stars if I could.

There’s something special about reading a book in a series, especially one that you love. Not only do you get to catch-up with old friends, you also get to know other people better. That’s exactly how I felt when I read Crash Ride. When I didn’t have a smile on my face, I was quietly laughing to myself.
I love the boys of Power Station and although Troy Harris (I have to use both of his names and you’ll work out why when you read this amazing book) wasn’t my favourite member of the group, I think he just shot up the leader board. I started to get to know more about Troy Harris in High Strung, the first book in the Power Station series, but this is his story as well as Megan’s, another minor character who has come to the fore in Crash Ride.
There were so many things to love about this book that it’s hard to know where to start. I love T. Gepart’s sense of humour and it always seems to shine through in her writing. “Every single time I was around him alone, I swear I ended up naked,” was just one of the many lines that made me laugh. (I’m glad I was alone when I read this book otherwise I would be writing this review from a mental institution.)
I also love the little unexpected ‘surprises’ I got while I was reading. I was almost 50% through the book before I realised the significance of the feathers at the beginning of each chapter. And then there was when I discovered the significance of the title. Now I know why Crash Ride is the perfect title for this book.
But most of all, I loved the relationship between Troy and Megan. It wasn’t an insta-love relationship. It started as lust and grew into a beautiful loving relationship that made me sigh and fall in love with Troy Harris.
I gave Crash Ride 5 stars accompanied by a crash of cymbals.

High Strung had me hooked but Crash Ride was like slipping into a comfy pair of shoes- it just felt right.
While Dan and Ash’s story was captivating – I have to say that Troy and Meg were a completely different kettle of fish.
Meg is a driven woman with a strong sense of both purpose and self-worth. She is so focused on making it, that time with friends in a commodity that she does not waste, living life to the fullest.
I have to say that Meg has all the necessary components to make you completely jealous!
But I had a little niggle and that was the completely dominating obsession that she has with Troy from Power Station – surely this independent woman couldn’t be so smitten – or could she?
The author deals us a hefty hand of humour in the book and that is one of the reasons that I loved it so much – it made me chuckle out loud and that is not an easy thing to do. Not just because I can be a miserable bitch sometimes but because the book handles some tough subject matter.
I have to say that having her lusting after a man that I thought unattainable for her only to find that he is suddenly within her reach was simply genius. It brought her dreams to life and gave all her sexy longings the focus that she desired – win win situation.
The story unfolded much like I would have anticipated had I been watching it at the cinema- it evolved and the writing style was pivotal to that evolution, it gave both Meg and Troy the chance to have their say but to take things at their own pace. I loved the messages they sent to each other, the crazy times they had to both meet and talk but I especially loved the fact that what they had as given time to grow.
This is a fabulous read one that is the perfect follow up to High Strung and one that makes me eager to read whatever come next

T Gephart totally knocked it out of the park with Crash Ride!! She once again made me lose myself in the story, made me laugh my butt off, broke my heart and then put it back together. I never got tired of reading it, time flew by, and I didn't feel the need to constantly check my progress in the book. I just completely loved it!!

Megs is now officially my favorite female character in this series! She's so funny and smart and playful. She's really fun and impulsive, but she is also serious, kind, and has a heart of gold. Megs is just awesome to be around; I would definitely want to be her friend and I absolutely loved her!

Oh, Troy Harris, if Dan hadn't stolen my heart so completely in High Strung, there's no question that you would be my favorite. Now don't get me wrong, I really did love Troy, he's an amazing guy! He's sweet, has a great sense of humor, he's protective and possessive. He is also super sexy and he will steal your heart!

Crash Ride is, for the most part, a light read, but not all the time. I knew going into this book that it was going to be fun, but I knew that at some point T Gephart was going to make my heart ache. I was still unprepared when the time came though, and it felt like I was stabbed in the heart and punched in the gut. It made me cry and I worried about Troy and Megs, but it wasn't long before Ms. Gephart had me laughing again and made me feel silly that I ever worried in the first place.

I can't tell you how much I loved this book! I loved the characters, the steaminess (oh my gosh, it was so HOT!), and the humor. It was a beautiful, fantastic book and I can't wait to read the next one!!

Crash Ride is a standalone, it's told from both Megs and Troy's POV, and they do get their HEA! ~ Paige, 5 stars

The first thing out of my mouth after finishing Crash Ride was WOW! The best thing about having a blog is that I get to meet and read so many new authors. I'm so happy that I discovered T. Gephart!

Megan Winters has had a crush on Troy Harris, the drummer for the famous band Power Station for a long time. Megan first met Troy in High Strung while her and her best friend Ash were out partying hard. Troy Harris is a complete gentlemen to a smashed Megs that night but she can't stop thinking about him. Troy has never lacked for women but he has a powerful instant attraction to Megs that won't be denied forever. He won't get involved with her because she is Dan's girlfriend's best friend. Megs decides that they need to sleep together once so she can get him out of her system. Troy Harris agrees to this and the next day, they both know that they are in serious trouble. This is where some serious fun explodes!

I seriously LOVED this book. Megs is a strong female but with hilarious girl tendencies. She knew her worth and yet cracked me up when she kept googling Troy Harris. She was feisty, hilarious, and honestly, I have a girl crush on her. Her and Troy Harris' chemistry is off the charts HOT! Every time I type Troy Harris, I can't stop laughing and you will know why when you read the book. Crash Ride had me laughing out loud throughout the whole book, and yet I was still on a roller coaster ride of emotions because there were some sad parts but always tempered with love. T. Gephart did an amazing job intertwining the characters from the first book High Strung. I'm seriously in love with the Power Station men and the awesome women that fall in love with them. The next book CANNOT come soon enough!

Crash Ride is a steamy and sweet 5 star read that kept me entertained from beginning to end. This is book two in the Power Station series, but it can be read as a standalone novel. Megs and Troy are introduced in book 1, so I personally recommend reading both books. Unlike the first book, this one did not leave me feeling like it was more of a new adult romance. The interactions between Troy and Megs seemed appropriate for a couple in their late twenties.

Troy and Megs made an incredibly fun couple. I loved them both as individuals and loved them even more together. Megs is a smart lady with a lot going for her. She’s funny, upbeat, and has a big heart. She’s also a little crazy in a way that makes you think she’d be fun to hang out with. Now Troy brings sexy rock star to a whole new level. Troy is not your bad boy type. In fact, he’s a funny, sexy, nice guy. Troy balances out Meg’s crazy side some.

T. Gephart definitely knows how to write fun dialogue, and I loved the interactions between all of the characters. I also really enjoyed seeing how Dan and Ashlyn’s relationship was going. There were a few times when I laughed loud enough to wake my husband up while reading in bed. Speaking of beds, the sex was scorching hot! This book also made me teary eyed a couple of times. There was one area that bothered me because it was inaccurate from a medical standpoint. I won’t go into details because it would be a spoiler. While I liked High Strung, I loved Crash Ride and can’t wait for the next installment in the Power Station series. I recommend this book for anyone looking for a hot romantic comedy.
