I realized midway through this book that i had read it before But this time it was different i understood so many things, noticed so many details that i hadn’t before I understood the scenes more deeply like the one where zamani begum told Amal “Tmhy wali bacha kar laya hai aur wali logon ko hi nahi, unki izzat bhi bachata hai” And every encounter between both of them the one where he saved her despite being seriously injured and how he used to refrain even looking at her and when he said “Aap khush rahengi bibi mai agar saalon tak bhi khidmat karu tab bhi main aapke qabil nahi ho sakunga" and “Aur usne amal ke aage rumal kiya, jaanta tha ke iske aage usey ijazat nahi” “Ab usny faisla kar liya tha ke wo amal ke saamne kabhi nahi ayega isse zyada wo uska imtehan lega to wo uska gunahgaar ho jayega jo wo kisi bhi surat hona nahi chahta tha”
2.8/5 - mixed reviews honestly, i picked it up cos i had heard that its a cute romcom which i didnt see as true sadly & therefore i skimmed through this book for most part :( so i was a bit disappointed. & i really wanted them to get together asappp, agh. was reading in hopes of finally them getting together!!! but the book was just them yearning for each other all along, not confronting their feelings and maybe i wasnt in the mood for that so i was frustrated a bit. but wali was such a gentleman, ooof!!! genuinely loved his character for his aura. his relationship especially with zaman baba & bee jaan was soooo cute man <3 i also felt it being minutely inspired by namal wrt some characters & their stories (mohsin as ahmar shafi & hashim as hashim kardaar 🤪) kuch points py plot seemed very immature, unrealistic sa, which i don’t enjoy in books
the last scene of them finally getting together and that cute confrontation was the best scene of the book, i wish we had gotten more of their scenes together :(
also, i guess i have read other rabia khan books which i liked better especially kahaf so iss liye i had better expectations from this one too
