Bryce's Girl

This is the third book in the Cage brothers series.
Bryce is looking for his childhood sweetheart who disappeared on the night of their Valentine's dance. He finally has a break from his schedule, and it's approaching the tenth anniversary of Daisy's disappearance.
Bryce finds her in Vegas after she loses a big steak bet in a basement gambling tournament, and she owes Marco a lot of money.
While Bryce is following her, he finds that he is not the only person watching his girl.
Daisy feels like she's being watched and knows it's time to move on, even if it means skipping out on Marcos debt.
Will Bryce get to Daisy in time? Or will one of the others beat him to her?
This story was fast-paced at times and others slower paced, but an easy quick read with secrets abounding. All culminating with an HEA.

Bryce’s Valentine by Jade Vale is a dark-tinged, emotionally charged second-chance romance that proves some loves don’t fade with time—they sharpen.

Ten years ago, Daisy vanished from Bryce’s life without a word, leaving behind a brokenhearted sixteen-year-old who never stopped wondering why. On the tenth anniversary of her disappearance, Bryce finally does what he’s been dreaming of for a decade: he goes looking for her. What he finds isn’t the girl he lost, but a woman who has been surviving by any means necessary—drifting, hustling cards, running from trouble, and never staying long enough to feel safe.

Bryce doesn’t rush in and demand answers. Instead, he watches. He learns. He stalks—because Bryce needs the truth before he can face her. And what he uncovers makes his protectiveness snap into place. Daisy hasn’t just had bad luck; she’s been hunted. When another stalker gets too close, Bryce quietly removes the threat. When mob enforcers show up to collect a dangerous debt and put their hands on her, Bryce steps in again—final, ruthless, and unwavering.

Daisy is furious when she realizes Bryce has been watching her life unfold from the shadows… but she’s also shaken by the realization that someone has been protecting her when no one else ever did. She’s missed him. She’s just terrified of pulling him into the mess she’s been running from since she was a teenager.

What Daisy doesn’t understand—until Bryce makes it impossible to ignore—is that he never moved on. Not once. She was always his. And when the truth of why she ran finally comes out, Bryce doesn’t flinch. He doesn’t question her. He helps her face the trauma she fled from and gives her the closure—and revenge—she was never able to claim on her own.

Bryce’s Valentine balances dark elements with deep emotional intimacy. It’s protective without being cruel, intense without losing its heart. This is a story about found family, survival, and a love so persistent it refuses to stay buried.

If you love second-chance romance, obsessive devotion, and a hero who will burn down the world to reclaim the girl he never stopped loving, this novella will stay with you long after the final page.

If bad luck had a poster child, Daisy’s face would be plastered front and center. A runaway at sixteen, her life has been a nonstop exercise in survival, with her only real break being found by Frodo, the kind stranger who taught her how to stay alive on the streets. Fast-forward ten years, and Daisy is in way over her head. She’s been set up in a high-stakes poker game and now owes a dangerous mobster more money than she could ever repay. Plus, to top it off, she seems to have a stalker. Bryce never understood why Daisy vanished without a word, leaving him shattered in her wake. This year, though, he’s done waiting. He’s determined to find her and force the truth out of her, though I did wonder why it took him so long. Ironically, it’s almost comically easy for him to find her, despite Daisy changing both her name and her appearance. But what is intriguing is that Bryce doesn’t confront her right away. Instead, he watches from the shadows, studying her life, learning her struggles, and realizing just how much danger she’s in. And wow—Bryce. His intensity is everything. He oozes confidence, obsession, and a razor-sharp protectiveness that makes it clear Daisy has always been his. He’s ruthless when it comes to eliminating threats and absolutely refuses to let her slip through his fingers again. Seeing Daisy slowly realize that someone has been fighting for her all along, someone willing to burn the world down to keep her safe, is incredibly satisfying. She ran from Bryce once to protect him, and she’s determined not to drag him into her problems now… but Bryce has never been the kind of man to take no for an answer. When the truth about Daisy’s past finally comes out, Bryce gives her something she never thought she’d have: vengeance. Together, they don’t just get a second chance at love, they heal old wounds, reclaim their power, and prove that some love doesn’t fade with time.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Bryce’s Valentine is the kind of dark romance that grabs you by the collar, raises an eyebrow, and says, “Come here… we need to talk about obsession.” And honestly? I was happy to listen.

This story leans into old-school romance themes—fate, unfinished love, and the idea that some bonds simply refuse to die—with a deliciously dark twist. Bryce has spent ten long years haunted by Daisy’s disappearance, and when he finally decides to stop waiting and start hunting, the tension snaps tight right from the start. He’s intense, relentless, and completely unhinged in that classic dark-romance way that makes you whisper, sir, you are a problem, while still rooting for him anyway.

Daisy, on the other hand, is pure survival instinct. She’s been on her own since she was sixteen, scraping by with card games, bad luck, and constant running. Her life feels gritty and real—no fairy-tale safety nets here. Between owing a mobster and sensing she’s being watched, her paranoia feels justified, which makes the stalker angle all the more deliciously unsettling.

The push-and-pull between past love and present danger is where this book really shines. February becomes more than just Valentine’s Day—it’s a curse, a countdown, and a reminder that love doesn’t always show up wrapped in pink paper and bows. Sometimes it comes wearing shadows and unfinished business.

If you love dark romance with obsession, second chances, morally gray men, and heroines who’ve been hardened by life, this one hits the spot. It’s tense, emotional, and just twisted enough to keep you flipping pages while muttering, “This is a bad idea… but I love it.” 💘🖤

A good short morally grey, second chance read

A short, morally grey, second chance at love, and another introduction to a key side character in the upcoming Cage Brothers series.
In this story we have Bryce, our MMC, he is the head of security for the world famous l Wylder Cage and his band. He is controlled, normally one step ahead, not adverse to doing what needs to be done, and broken hearted. Then we have Daisy, our MFC, she’s strong, running, and gotten into more than a little trouble.
Valentine’s Day is always a hard time for Bryce, 10 years earlier his childhood sweetheart ran away without a word and he is done wondering why.
This story is slightly different to the previous novella’s as its second chance instead of insta-love. I loved Bryce’s intensity, he oozes confidence and will do whatever it takes to protect “his Daisy”. Daisy is resourceful and independent, she’s come to terms with losing her first love in order to protect him, and doing what needs must to get by. But Bryce has had enough and once he’s found his Daisy again he isn’t letting her go, she just needs to get on the same page. I loved the cameo from Nick and Cole, they added the perfect amount of humour into the story.
I really enjoyed this book, I thought it was done well and fun (not sure what that says about me), it’s well balanced and written and the characters are so good. This is a great little read and I enjoyed a further look into the the main characters of the Cage Borthers in the run up to their series starting soon.

I loved this novella! Bryce has been waiting for 10 years to know the reason for his teenager sweetheart leaving without a warning or trace. When he decides enough is enough, he gets her location and goes after her. Daisy has been on the run but since being forced to leave everything and everyone behind. When they finally meet each other they realise that real love doesn’t fade but changes and gets stronger despite the changes life forced on them. To be honest I fell in love with Bryce myself. He’s loyal and steadfast, the ride or die kind of person. Daisy is a survivor, strong without losing her vulnerability. Together they make a great story about healing and acceptance. The spice level between them is intense but at the same time just right. Wylder is a great side character that brings depth and warmth to the story. Their friendship is so strong and heartwarming that it enriches the plot. It was great seeing Nick and Cole jump in to help their brother and see the subtle changes in their personalities. This is dark themed so read the trigger warnings but it is wonderfully written and well worth reading.

Bryce’s Valentine is a short but emotionally rich dark holiday romance that completely stole my heart.

The story follows Bryce and Daisy as they reconnect after years apart, having grown up as childhood sweethearts in the same foster home before life tore them in different directions. The darkness in this romance comes from their past traumas and the heavy obstacles they must overcome to find their way back to each other.

Their relationship is genuinely adorable, and I loved watching them reconnect and heal together. Bryce is such a sweetheart — soft, caring, and devoted — but he’s also very much a touch her and die kind of man… literally. That protective edge paired with his tenderness made him impossible not to love.

This was a lovely little story filled with heart, healing, and just the right amount of darkness from Jade Vale.

Tropes:
⭐️ Second Chance Romance
⭐️ Light Stalking
⭐️ Billionaire / Multimillionaire
⭐️ Crime / Mafia Family
⭐️ Strong, Feisty FMC
⭐️ Morally Grey MMC

Second-chance romances always hit harder when time, silence, and secrets are involved—and Bryce and Daisy’s story proves exactly that.
This isn’t just about reconnecting after years apart. It’s about unfinished love, unanswered questions, and the kind of bond that never really breaks, no matter how long it’s been tested. Bryce is fiercely protective in that touch her and die way, but beneath the danger is a man who never stopped loving the woman he lost. Daisy isn’t weak or naive—she’s guarded, strong, and carrying secrets of her own.
The found family aspect adds so much heart to the story, balancing the darker elements with loyalty, warmth, and a sense of belonging that makes every emotional moment hit deeper. Watching Bryce and Daisy navigate the past while trying to build something new felt raw, intimate, and earned.
💭 Final thoughts:
A Valentine’s Day romance with grit, heart, and second-chance magic. Protective love, emotional depth, and just enough darkness to keep you hooked.

I'm loving these short stories, giving us a glimpse of the world of the Cage Brothers and their foster brothers. Daisy is a spicy one, but definitely a very independent and strong FMC, which I enjoyed. She reminded me of another kickass FMC from one of the author's other pen named books. Someone who can handle herself and the written portrayal feels realistic.

Like Nick and Cole, Bryce is a gorgeous specimen that worships Daisy and is hellbent on taking care of her every desire. Seeing how he treats Daisy and the lengths he goes for her sets a very high standard for real men. 😂

One has to wonder how no one has discovered that the Cole family estates are just crawling with hot men, because that is clearly the case. I tried to jump into the book, but was rudely met with reality.

I had the opportunity to receive a copy of this book via the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Dark, Spicy, and Worth Every Second

Bryce’s Valentine is a compelling, morally grey second-chance romance that expertly sets the stage for the Cage Brothers series. Jade Vale shifts gears from "insta-love" to a deeper, slow-burn reunion, following Bryce’s ten-year search for his lost sweetheart, Daisy.
The character dynamics are the highlight of this novella: Bryce is the ultimate "touch her and die" protector—steadfast and intense—while Daisy is a resilient survivor whose strength shines through her vulnerability. Their chemistry is electric, and the emotional payoff feels earned despite the fast-paced plot. With a perfect balance of spice, dark themes, and heartwarming cameos from Wylder, Nick, and Cole, this is a must-read for fans of protective heroes and found-family dynamics.

We are back in the Cage brother’s world. This time with Bryce, Daisy, and Wylder. While the story is mostly focused on Bryce and Daisy, Wylder does play a part in the story. I love Bryce and Daisy both. They both have these amazing personalities that are felt throughout the story. Daisy has been through some things that caused her to disappear from Bryce and their best friend Wylder. We watch Bryce make the decision to find Daisy and what a ride it is. The story has some possible triggers but it was still beautifully written. The story is a fast paced but it is written so well that you do not feel like you missed anything. Even so, I would have loved to see more of these characters as they are fantastic. We get surprise visits from some of the characters from the previous novella books in the Cage Brothers world. I absolutely loved this story and can’t wait to meet more of these characters found family.

This was a great second chance novella. Bryce and Daisy were a thing when they were younger. But at 16 she disappeared and he had no idea what happened to her. His heart never moved on. And after 10 years he decided to look for her. What he found wasn’t the same girl that dispersed, but a woman that was doing whatever she needed to survive. He found out she was being hunted. He took care of that for her. But he kept his distance for awhile.
This book was chaotic and filled with action. These pages just grabbed me and held in to me until there were finished with the story. This was dark but oh so beautiful. I lived the twists and turns. And I loved Bryce and Daisy. They were magnetic.

This was a great novella. Daisy has had a rough 10 years on the run, and Bryce has struggled without her. I loved how, once he found her, he knew he was never letting her go again. The way he fought for her was amazing. I also really loved the addition of Wylder as their friend and how close he was with Daisy platonically (though as a fan of all of Vale's work, I wouldn't have been opposed to a mfm situation lmao). But I'm now especially excited for his book whenever it comes out. Honestly just really excited for all the blood brothers' books in general now.

A sweet love that time couldn't erase.
Short novella, set in a dark world with Mafia vibes but the story is sweet, even he stalked her a bit.
Bryce can't forget Daisy, she vanished 10 years ago from the foster home where they were raised.
Now he wants to find her and by any means, even turning into her stalker....
But Daisy has troubles....and her past has painful secrets.
A well written and captivating story following the Cage Brothers.
Even being a standalone, there's some elements and characters that follow the series.

'Years ago, the love of my life ran away. Now, I’m hunting her down.
I won’t allow her to slip through my fingers again.'

The plot was intriguing and intense and well paced. World building was excellent and impressive. The characters carried the story and they were very compelling and complex and complicated and perfectly steamy together. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.

This was a great quick novella read. It may be short but it was packed full of action. Daisy is a great FMC who is strong and sassy. Bryce is possessive and obsessed with Daisy and when he finally finds her again he shows her how determined he is to keep her forever. The chemistry and banter between the two is great, I really enjoyed reading this book.

Bryce and Daisy spent time in the same foster home as teens, before she ran away. Ten years later on the anniversary of that time he is determined to finally find the love of his life. A steamy second chance read with a man obsessed, morally grey men, crime families and a stalkery theme too. Loved it.

This was a cute second chance novella. Daisy and Bryce both have great character development through the story. It is great to see them both heal with each other. This was a great dark romance while not being too dark. Just a slight hint at mafia and a morally grey MMC. I want to now read the other two stories to read more about the Cage brothers.

This was the third novella in the Cage brothers world. Bryce decides to track down his teenage love, who was also part of the foster care group with them, the band, & broke his heart when she disappeared without a trace 10 years prior. Daisy hasn't had an easy go of it & is hesitant to let him in when he tracks her down. What follows is their story of darkness, love, acceptance, revenge, & finally, happiness. Can't wait to read more in this world.
