A great novella! It was well written, with great side characters and a good plot. Although it’s a novella, it felt like it had a good and complete ending. It’s a perfect to be read in one sitting!
So what’s an author to do when she comes across Mr. Muscle Man saving her life? She bones him 🤭
Serayah is a local author who attends a signing when she’s approached by a DIE HARD fan. Talk about OBSESSED!
She then returns home and her bestie, Tasha, wants to hang out. They go clubbing. Then that’s when things take a turn and Mr. Muscles becomes her knight in suit armor. King was on the job when he notices what’s going on.
Serayah takes a page outta her own book and decides she’s gonna be a thug and hook up with this man ( HOTTTTT)
This novella is gonna make you cackle, swoon and enjoy it 💯

Thank you J. Dylan for giving me the opportunity to read Operation: Redemption in advance.
Author Serayah seems to have picked up a stalker. AKA: number one fan… Then, she manages to get into trouble on a night out, and is saved by King. This is the classic one-night-stand, then ‘surprise(!), I’m your bodyguard’ situation… I mean, I’m not surprised, but the character reactions were kind of hilarious. King ended up being a more complex character than I expected, even though he did frustrate me at times. Serayah was stubborn, and just crafty enough to win him over. Short, sweet, not overly steamy, it’s a relatively safe read for the morning commute or lunch break.
King and Serayah first meet during a rescue that quickly turns charged and steamy. There’s surprise, undeniable want, and a shared temptation to push boundaries. King wrestles with confusion and indecision, torn between his powerful attraction and what he believes is the right thing to do. Serayah can be frustrating at times, testing both King’s patience and yours, yet you sympathize with her longing and vulnerability where he’s concerned. Their push-and-pull dynamic keeps the tension high and the chemistry crackling. With a dash of danger woven through the story, it’s a quick, steamy read.
This was such a perfect quick afternoon read. I loved how easy it was to dive into, and I ended up finishing it in one sitting. The pacing worked really well for a novella, and the story felt complete and satisfying despite the shorter length. A great pick if you’re looking for a fast, yet great read!
This novella goes quick. The characters are likeable and the storyline is engaging. I think I would have enjoyed this more if it was a full length novel. It has well written scenes but it fell a little flat as they were woven together.
