What an exciting series The Infiltrix has been with The Extraction being its heart stopping finale. By Kimberley Troutte, book five had me reading as quickly as I could especially when poison was given, on top of a kill device that had already been part of the story, I thought my heart just might not take it. Heather Slade and Miguel Robles had come so close to death in the previous books I just wasn’t sure if they could make it through this time. The political intrigue hits close to home in this near future series. Hard to know who to trust or exactly what the agenda is for those higher up in the chain of command. It is almost easier to know what the enemy is thinking. So much suspense, action, secrets revealed and some romance too. One addictive series where I couldn’t have stopped reading even if I had tried.
THE EXTRACTION by Kimberley Troutte The Infiltrix series Release Date February 4 2026
Author’s blurb: An undercover agent with fractured memories and a kill device. Her foreign spy partner on a separate mission, determined to return and protect her. Two missions. Two countdown clocks. Thousands of lives at risk.
This is definitely a fast paced quick read. This is number five in the series, but I felt like there was enough background from the other books so as not to be lost in this one.
The Extraction The Infiltrix book 5 By Kimberley Troutte
I have loved this series from the beginning to the end but is it finished? Plus it really makes you think about how much Heather/Claire and Miguel Robles have been through as well as the people they rescued from the camps. The will be answers to questions who is Madame X and Ghost? Will Miguel survive the poisoning? Can she help Blockwell's wife and kids escape? There's a lot of action, adventure and a bit of an opening for a future story. All in all a great book by one of my favorite authors.
Thank-you to the author, Booksprout and Tule Publishing for allowing me to review this book.
The Extraction Book 5 of The Infiltrix by kimberley troutte Before the team extract people they have other problems to deal with. Slade has to perform so the president's wife know she is sincere and honest....a good way to learn about the presidents movements and whereabouts.... A big explosion occurs and we find out the intricate details of Slade's brain functions. Like all the action and being able to keep up with the members of the team as I've read the other books in the series. It's not necessary as they do fill you in, just not all the past details. Fast paced, action, adventure and maneuvers and strategies and how they all work. Like hearing of the poisoning and how they figure out an antidote. Love how it all comes together for all the missions and where that leaves the team now. Bit of upcoming story line can be learned from last chapter... Received this review copy from Tule Publishing via BookSprout and this is my honest opinion.
