The Harrington family was what everyone in the picturesque town of Runswick, Rhode Island aspired to be, until their eldest child Jenna, tumbled down a flight of stairs, leaving her with few to no memories, just the muffled screams of a few women...
But vague, yet disturbing childhood memories come to the fore when the three Harrington siblings are forced to reunite with their father at the estate six years later; where Jenna finds the preserved, doll-like remains of three women, one of which resembles Jenna to an uncanny extent.
Now, Jenna is forced to question everything about her childhood up to that night. It isn't until she spots a woman roaming the garden with her lips sewn shut, that she realizes all the painful truths behind her father's estate starts with her look-alike, Marisol...

⭐️ ARC review! (Thank You April for gifting me aN ARC copy of The Doll Garden!)
A Paranormal Murder Mystery! This book takes you down a winding tale, following Jenna as she tries to overcome a horrible accident that happened to her at the estate she grew up in, but left as she grew older. After she returns, meets again with her siblings and ill father, this is where it starts to unravel. There are twists at every turn, and as a reader, I found myself asking the same questions Jenna wonders, then I eagerly turn the page to see what happens next! If you like mysteries, this is a book for you with puzzles and clues to uncover, especially with a murder mystery. Now, add the paranormal twist at the edge of the garden, you'll grip your seat! (Seriously, no spoilers, but you will be gripping your book or eReader!)
The Doll Garden is an amazing read! I won't give spoilers, but I swear you'll be shocked with this nail biter! 10/10 highly recommend!
I remember when this book was on Wattpad and it was a wonderful story then. Watching it become a physical book and one I have in my own hands makes me happy. April did a fantastic job of world building and setting the mood for the story. All the secrets and unknowns were pulling me back and forth and I honestly thought I saw it all coming. I didn't lol.
I enjoyed every bit of it and I'm sending this off to be sent around in a little book club of mine with some friends. can't wait to see the other stories April brings to life.
This book had a really interesting and eerie premise that pulled me in right away. April Wright created a vivid, mysterious atmosphere that kept me curious about what would happen next.
However, the pacing felt uneven at times, and I struggled to fully connect with the characters. Overall, it was an enjoyable and creative read, but it didn’t completely hook me.
