Very well written book, with a fantastic plot.
When we think we already know the story behind each character, there is a twist that leaves us open-mouthed!!
The story is quite captivating, the characters are well constructed and they all add the story in a positive way.
I love Evie!! She is a real thug masked behind affectionate looks. 😁💕
I look forward to the second book.

This book is incredible, from start to finish. It sucks you into the story of Evie... The men are not your average cookie-cutter men of a harem either, each man offers something different to the relationship and their stories are equally as heartbreaking as our dear, Evie's.
This is hands down one of my favorites from this author, the storyline and the spice are immaculate.
It'll have you hooked and begging for more from the first page all the way until the last.
So, with all that said? Come and step into the dark and see for yourself, this one is definitely a top read of the year!

OMFG! Idk where to even start this! The plot, the spice, the action, the raw heartbreaking emotional roller-coaster i just witnessed was purely amazing! It was truly an honor to read and live the life of this story! You will LOVE and Hate everyone in this book, but for all the right reasons! When I tell you that I need more, I mean it! JA Welch, thank you for strong out of your comfort zone with this book! I have to say, this is one of the best Mafia books that I've read in a while!

This was a wild ride from start to finish. Eve was an amazing fmc, she was so strong and independent. Her past made her that way and she was out for revenge. Each of the men were great in their own way. Atlas was the dark prince that fed her darkness. Kortez was her first everything, he loved her fiercely. Wylder was protective and helped her heal and grow.
JA knows how to write these characters that keep you engaged in the story. The revenge and mystery plot and the romance and spice was top tier. I cannot wait for part two.

Nooooo the cliffy!!!! Ugh this was a great book! The plot twists and drama! I ate up every single second of it! I need book 2 like yesterday! I absolutely love all four of the guys! She has a lovely collection, top tier! And they'd do ANYTHING for her! And sweet little Abel?? Adorable and just like his daddy!

Absolutely. Obsessed! This book has it all! I love the characters, the dynamics between them and most of all, love the plot. The Love of Misfits definitely has some spice to it, but JA Welch gives us a good balance with both Spice and Plot. She also decides to throw a shocking reveal in there that I definitely didn't see coming and leaves us on a cliffhanger with that ending

This book: Simply Phenomenal
I had the incredible opportunity to Beta read and Arc read this book.
while arc reading I fell back in love with every character, every moment, and every plot twist.
This mafia is everything a mafia romance should be. such a good plot. this was just every bit as entertaining as it was HOT. Definitely such a rememberable book and the cliffhanger!?!? BRUTAL! Can't wait for pt 2!!!

I have read her other books, and I have to say, this is different from her other books, but I like! A lot!
Set in a dark crime world instead if paranormal, but with the 🌶️ we know and love from this author hihihi.
Evie and Kor are inseparable, when one faithful night everything gets ripped away from her.
Years later, everything falls inti place again, and revenge is just the tip of the iceberg.
Multiple partners in this book, as per normal standard of the author ehhehe, but the 🌶️? Man its hot and sizzly.
The storyline is gripping and keeps you turning the pages till we reach that open ending.
And now we wait for book 2 with anticipation.

I was hooked from the beginning (especially when Jacksonville was mentioned and my little family is from there!) and it just kept getting better! The Love Of Misfits (The Paradox Of Us Duet Book 1)
The Love Of Misfits was jam-packed! There was never a dull moment in this book and that's one of the things I loved about it.
This was a 5 star read for me as I fell in love with the characters and their love and protectiveness for one another. I feel like, without the whole picture painted from the 2nd book as well, I will definitely have more to say on a second read.
I unfortunately decided to start this book the week I went back to work, so instead of being drawn in and taking 3 days, this sadly took me 5, which is not the author's fault at all, just my horrid timing.
When I look at a book, the cover has to influence me to pick it up. If it isn't eye-catching or giving me any sort of emotion, then I won't pick it up. The tropes and trigger warnings actually influenced me a lot more when deciding whether to read this too because those are also a selling point to me.
To me, there's nothing unlikable about this book, which is a big thing when it comes to first books in a duet/ series, so when I reached the end, I was pleasantly surprised to find that I was satisfied. Does that mean I won't continue the duet? Hell no!
As action packed as this book was, with the surprising twists, I had 3 favourite scenes coming out of this universe. Two of them are NSFW (because hey, who can resist spice? 🫣) and the other is a rage fuelled revenge plot scene. Sorry guys, I don't post spoilers, so if you'd like to know, then I guess you'll have to read it. 😌
I can't wait for the second book to come out so I can read this beauty again and fall back into this thrilling and romantic universe.
If you love a Dark Mafia, Reverse Haram Romance, where the FMC is as morally grey as her dark knights, then please give this one a go. I promise you'll come out of it seeking revenge for your favourite characters too.

Ok so, I loved this book!
Evie, Atlas, Kortez, Roman, and Wylder had me entertained all the way through! I loved how wild & adventurous Evie was in her youth, and how Atlas and Kortez loved her instantly 🖤
Roman & Wylder had me swooning 🥰 Their love for Evie and each other was beautifully written, with each knowing exactly what Evie needed and when to give it to her. Reading how the men were all on the same page regarding sharing Eve & loving her son Abel equally as their own melted my heart! Their family was truly a beautiful write.
I can't wait to see what they all come up with for Aldo in the next book in this duet. I just know Evangeline and her men are going to bathe in & enjoy the blood they spill along the way to getting their revenge, and their happily ever after.
The only reason I gave 4.5 stars instead of the full 5 was because I felt the book was just a bit too long and some of the storyline was predictable. That being said, I love puzzles & problem solving, so this isn't the first book I've been able to suss out early on. This in no way takes away from the story. As I said, I loved it!

She's been plotting for a long time, even though he's her baby-daddy, she can't stand what he did. I love a strong FMC and Evangeline is that woman. She doesn't do everything on her own, and she's definitely needed support throughout her life. Only what happens now when her plans for revenge on her ex go up in smoke, because he's not the only one to show up. Her BFF is there too, and she can't believe it. This book had me on the edge of my seat, excited for what came next. It's packed with a lot of action, a lot of surprises, and some dark, spicy heat along the way. Of course when you've got 4 men who aren't going to walk away, things are bound to get interesting. There are some dark themes in here so if that's not your thing, or you're not sure, read the content warnings before diving in. It's a duet (part 2 coming later) and of course, in true suspenseful style we've got a bit of a cliffhanger there at the end, but you love it - you know you do.

Where to even start !!! How do I even find the perfect words to express how and why I fell completely in love and became utterly obsessed with Evie and Her Guys journey? This has a very gripping pull you in from the beginning storyline. The characters are absolutely amazing and you fall in love with them immediately. There’s definitely twists/turns within the plot line. I can’t wait for others to read this! You’ll absolutely love it.

What a tangled web! I really enjoyed this book. It was full of twists, turns, and surprises. It has all the spice you could need, while keeping you on your toes with the action and suspense. Evangeline is on a mission of vengeance for her friend that she believes to be gone. She built a life around that goal, and one of her lovers, Wylder, is even assisting her. Roman comes into the story and seems to immediately start cracking Eve's walls. When she's reunited with ghosts of her past, will she be able to accept them and move on? Throughout the ups and downs of this book, relationships are built and put to the test. We are left on a cliff, and I am beyond ready to see where J.A. will take us in the next book!

This dark princess has eyes only for Evie but thanks to his father he asks Kor are taken away and Evie is left to survive alone.
Years later she had Wylde retired ex marine and Roman, a mafia man she's saving but as fate would have it, these four men end up playing a part in Evie's life and that of the child that was left behind.

The Love of Misfits, written by JA Welch, is a why-choose mafia romance. The book does have some darker aspects, but they are all very delicious! Lol!
The book follows Evangeline, who is seeking revenge for the loss of her best friend. And who does she blame? Her first love and the father of her baby. She is hell-bent, strong, and independent.
The story is fast-paced, raw, and gritty! It is an emotional journey for Eve (and us!), but alongside her are Kortez, Atlas, Roman, and Wylder. Each brings their own intensity to the story. These misfits may be strong alone, but they are unbeatable together.
Is there spice, you ask? Duh! Of course there is! The spice is well placed and yummy, including the MM aspect.

A twisted and intense love story,where the fmc doesn't have to choose and swords cross.
Morally grey characters that hooked me right from the beginning of the story.
Not resuming because it's too good to spoil the fun.
Mafia vibes,a complex plot full of twists and turns ,more triggers than a shopping list (check the CW)and a maddening cliffhanger that made me want to scream.
Already counting the minutes to read what's coming!

This is my first book from this Author and I did enjoy all the twists and turns that I didn't expect.
I'm not a big instalove person at all and that's why at first I wasn't a fan of Roman. Some of the things he was saying just had me cringe and how she just feel for him so quickly. Eventually I came around and did enjoy him at the end, especially with wylder. But that is my own problem.
I loved how finding out all the hidden secrets from each character played a role in discovering how the end played out. My favorite two men were Atlas and Kortez, but all four men were perfect for Evie in their own different ways. I can't wait to see how the second book unfolds.

To be honest it takes alot for me to read a book in one sitting but I did it with this one - 4 hours (very little sleep one night)
The storyline is based on Evangeline (Eve) who meets Kortez and Atlas as a teenager. Due to events later in life, she then meets Wylder and Roman.
These four men would do anything for Eve and each other. There is some male on male action which was extremely hot! If you are looking for a hot spice book, this should be on your reading list.
This is a well written Why Choose book that has all the emotions, drama and spice that leaves you hanging for more!
I cannot wait for the next book in the series to see what happens next!

This book is an incredible wild ride, from start to finish. It sucks you into the story of Evie... The men are not your average cookie-cutter men of a harem either, each man offers something different to the relationship and their stories are equally as heartbreaking as our dear, Evie's. Evie, she was so strong and independent. Her past made her that way and she was out for revenge. Each of the men were great in their own way. Atlas was the dark prince that fed her darkness. Kortez was her first everything, he loved her fiercely. Wylder was protective and helped her heal and grow. This is hands down one of my favorites from this author, the storyline and the spice are immaculate. It'll have you hooked and begging for more from the first page all the way until the last.
