He told everyone I was too weak to be his mate? So I kissed his rival—right where he could see it. But what if that kiss... was the beginning of a curse?
Selene I was born his fated mate— but he humiliated me, said I was too weak, not worthy of him.
Then came the blood-red night. I found a wounded noble—charming, gentle, and far too perfect. I thought I’d escaped the pain, found someone kind enough to start again. Instead, I walked straight into a lie— a romance crafted to kill me.
And Seth—the man I swore to hate—keeps dragging me out of the dark. He swears he’ll protect me, even if it means defying the whole kingdom. But the hand that puppets us still lurks in the dark— Tonight, we either fight side by side… or burn together.
Seth I said I didn’t need her. Then I caught another man’s scent on her—and lost my damn mind.
I pushed her away for duty, for blood, for the family. Until another man held her. Dragged her into a necromancer’s curse meant to destroy us both.
This time, a kiss won’t fix what I broke. I’ll rip apart every shadow that touches her. And when it’s over— her heart, her body, her life— will all come back to me.
Jaymin Snow was born and raised in a small town in Villa Park where she was homeschooled through high school. She writes paranormal and fantasy romance stories full of feisty heroines, unforgettable heroes. She has a husband, three young daughters, and a lovely dog.
This wasnt a comfortable read. Definitely should have a trigger warning at the start because there was a scene between the main couple that was basically a r4pe. The words no, stop and wait are all used at multiple times and disregarded. Its under the guise of magic and both parties had no control over their actions or ability to stop. it was very uncomfortable to read. The fact it was one of only 2 spicy scenes in the whole book really emphasised it as well, as if it was meant to be enjoyable and memorable as their first time together but for obvious reasons it was far and away the opposite. Other than that, the plot was a fun concept, but annoying that it wasnt completely rapped up in their story when i feel that it could have been. The relationship felt one sided, we learnt a lot about Selene and say Him groveling to win her back, but never saw any effort or return on her part which just lessened the little romance there was remaining. I usually enjoy Jaymin Snows writing but this unfortunately missed the mark for me
Ok I’m not sure what she infuses into these books but I was hooked. I loved this more than book 1, Seth and Selene were seriously the sweetest.
I have a fav microtrope: MMC is a bit of an asshole, unfairly to the FMC, because of some misguided fear or trauma. And then he realizes he’s an asshole, he’s hurt the one person he loves, and suddenly he is REMORSEFUL and GROVELING. I’m not sure what that says about me, but man do I love an MMC’s POV hating himself for his cruelty, filled with regret and shame, and thus begins the grovel. And Seth… our boy groveled, and rightfully so.
I was worried for a sec, I won’t lie. Seth hurt my feelings, he was so cruel to sweet Selene. He said some things that stung. So while I felt their chemistry and was excited for end game… I needed him to realize his f*ed up and make it right. I was mad at him. Bad Seth. But when he realized he’s an asshole and pushed away the one person he actually cares about? It was so so so good. And Selene? Our gentle healer didn’t make it easy on him, which I also love. She threw those cruel words back in his face more than once. Drove the shame-knife in deep a few times. And I was here for it.
But once he earned her trust back? They were delicious. Spice was 🔥. Chemistry was palpable. This was a sort of love triangle but not really (I loathe those). More a paranormal mystery with a sprinkle of necessary jealousy to make stubborn broody MMCs realize their mistakes 😏 Also love an honest bestie who will tell our MMC when he’s f*ing up. Shout out to your Leon.
The world here is a bit odd. I’m confused what era we’re in. They don’t have phones, they use swords and lanterns and healing pastes but also take showers and drive cars?? It’s a stone palace like medieval romantasy but at one point she’s wearing jeans… anywho I think it’s the type of story you just have to roll with it. Lol
Either way the writing is immersive, descriptive, and well edited. I’m not sure why but it’s well done enough I can’t stop reading it. I’m in the story and invested. I loved Seth and Selene. I’ll read the next book. I still hate the title and cover. And Lucian is still a bit of a prick 🤷🏼♀️
After years of inhaling paranormal romance and fantasy like oxygen, it takes a lot to surprise me. Tropes tend to parade past in familiar outfits, plots déjà-vu their way into oblivion, and more often than not I close the book thinking, well… that happened. And then, I got Rejected by My Untamed Alpha Commander, and suddenly I’m staring at the page like a stunned fish who has just discovered legs.
This second installment in Jaymin Snow’s Fierce Alpha series takes two already-known characters and throws them into a story that is emotional, intense, slightly dark, and delightfully unhinged in the best way. The feelings hit hard, the stakes are high, and the “wait—WHAT?!” moments are generously sprinkled throughout. Snow clearly decided to raise the bar, then vault over it with style.
There’s a gripping mystery simmering beneath the surface (and no, we’re not done with it yet), a romance that does not come easy, enough heat to fog up your reading glasses, and—bless—genuine fun. The kind that has you glued to the edge of your seat, muttering “just one more chapter” until it’s wildly inappropriate to still be awake.
And that final chapters? That tantalizing glimpse of a certain mysterious Alpha? Consider me officially seated, snacks ready, expectations high. If the next book puts him front and center—and perhaps pairs him with a very beloved, very capable character from earlier installments who might finally untangle that infuriating mystery—then yes, Jaymin Snow, I’m in.
There was hardly a grovel. There was barely even an apology for all the times Seth made Selene feel like crap. All he did was sleep with her to shut her up and make her submit to their bond. It was Selene who marked him first, Selene who was humiliated by him first, Selene who had to make herself look pathetic in front of the court by saying she was the one pursuing Seth, and finally it was Selene who said I love you first. I’m sorry but where exactly did Seth do any sort of heavy lifting? Daciana was correct in saying that Selene deserved better than a man who has to take notes just to get the basics of his mate. That’s the absolute bare minimum. Not only that but Seth was so proud that he was a ran through bachelor before he met Selene, it’s gross doesn’t at all contribute to the romance? He hadn’t slept with anyone since meeting Selene? Give the man a trophy for having basic self control. *clap clap clap*
I was so happy, even if temporarily, when Selene lost her feelings for Seth. It sucked that it was so short lived cuz it didn’t even equate the months of verbal and emotional decimation he did towards Selene. Hence the ambivalence. I really liked most of the book, but the bits with Seth being outwardly unrepentant and how in the end it was Selene who basically made the most effort and sacrifice was just unpalatable.
Kindhearted and sweet Selene is a healer, and the fated mate of Seth, the strong and ruthless commander of the king’s army. Despite their bond, Seth sees Selene as too weak, denying their connection for months and even considering rejecting her, causing both of them unnecessary heartache. When Selene stumbles upon a wounded noble in the woods, she inadvertently becomes the victim of a dark curse that threatens her safety and the people around her. With Selene in real danger, Seth comes to regret his callousness and finally sets aside his hesitation to protect his mate.
I love a good hero redemption arc, and watching Seth’s transformation and growth was incredibly satisfying. The story was very well written, with a great pace; the descriptions were rich and vivid without ever feeling excessive, and I could picture every scene so clearly. The drama and action kept me hooked - I read this in one sitting - and I loved seeing Selene and Seth’s relationship evolve as their individual characters developed.
Although I hadn’t read the first book, I didn’t feel lost. I will however be adding it to my reading list, and I’m looking forward to the next instalment!.

Second book in the series and it was just as good as the first book. Contains:
😈Enemies to Lovers 😈H initially rejects his mate 😈Heroine rejects H next 😈Black magic & necromancy 😈Family love
Seth & Selene are fated mates -- he finds out first but pretends he doesn't know initially. He creates distance between them, pushes her away repeated, is mean to her. She is infatuated with him but then after there are visitors to the pack, she ignores him. Why is that?!?! Is there something else at play here? Yes, there is some underhanded and sneaky behavior at play here. We also get to see the couple from the first story and have foreshadowing of who will be the next couple in book 3. To say I was extremely satisfied with the ending is to put it mildly. Definitely looking for the next book in this enchanting and spellbinding series.
Rejected by My Untamed Alpha Commander, by Jaymin Snow was full of plot twists, passion, drama, and intrigue. Seth and Selene are fated mates but without getting to know her, he decided she was too weak and unworthy to stand by his side. It is rare but not unheard of to reject your fated mate, so Seth could have formally rejected Selene yet could not because his wolf wanted to bond with its mate. In fact it and Seth became enraged anytime another male got too close to selene, so while he kept Selene at arms length, he would stalk, verbally berating, and making her life emotionally difficult. Now Seth wants Selene back but we know what happens when a woman is scorned.

I think I liked this one more than the first. Don’t get me wrong the first love story about her thinking he was a mercenary when really he was the prince and her a wolfless girl how they fell in love in the forest, that story was good. However this story kept me gripping the pages till the very end. He rejects her in so many ways and just when she gives up on them he finally comes around. Their story is hard one and he is so devoted to her after they mate is ridiculous in the best way possible, I especially loved the scene where she confronts him the morning after while he is training his men and she attacks him. Definitely putting this one my to be reread shelf.
I loved this story and haven't been able to put it down, following on from "Chased by My Grumpy Alpha". A well-written story full of action, banter, fated mates, enemies to lovers, rejection, black magic, chemistry, love and romance, with plenty of twists and character development.
When Selene had been brought to the pack, Seth, the ruthless commander, had recognised his bond with her but seeing her as a weak healer he's been denying the connection for months; though he can't bring himself to stop watching her, or formally reject her.
Kind-hearted Selene had also sensed the bond but knew he didn't want her so after another set of harsh words following a kiss in the woods she runs and finds an injured man who she saves. But in doing so she becomes trapped by a dark curse.
This was a wonderful read with great character development; it was great to see Seth realising what truly mattered to him, and wanting to protect her no matter what, while Selene learns to show the strength in herself that he hadn't seen before. It was also great to see Astra and Lucian again and you get a hint at who book three in this series will be focused on.
I found this a great page turner that I couldn't put down.

This was such an awesome book. I loved the conflict between the MCs. It started out almost as enemies and turned into love. Lots of danger, especially from outside forces determined to destroy Selene on their way to destroy the royal family. What happens to Selene kind of gets scary at times but Seth is always there to protect her. I highly recommend this book to all paranormal romance readers.

When Selene is rejected by her fated mate Seth one too many times, she is pulled toward an injured man in the forest. From that moment on there is a shift in her emotions and desires. This story as intense as the mystery surrounding her shifts dynamics and behaviors. I could not put this book down as each chapter held me captive. I am looking forward to the next one in the series.

This was such an enjoyable read with a lot of my favourite tropes. I love a romance that’s hard won because it’s much more meaningful. Seth and Selena are total opposites but destined for each other. Both characters are complex and really well written. I enjoyed their interactions and their eventual happy ending. Seth’s redemption arc was fab to read
This story was exciting, entertaining and just WOW!!. You could actually feel the love these 2 shares coming out of the book in waves!!. I love a fantastic love story, to be able to watch it coming to life!!. Don't get any better!!. Jaymin is a PHENOMENAL storyteller and writer!!!.
What a wonderful book, strength with softness, courage despite fear, new characters brought in with hope for a future with them too! Lots of groveling from the mc for his stupidity, lol! I want and hope for many more books with the characters that also deserve a happy ending.
I really enjoyed book 2 in this series watching Seth and Selene travel their very scary road to finally finding their HEA. I'm looking forward to reading book 3 in this series and will definitely recommend this book to everyone.
