Although we are moving a little bit away from the video game, aspect of this manga, as in the characters aren’t playing video games together as much as they were in previous volumes, I don’t mind it because there’s still that otaku element throughout the manga.
I am still absolutely loving this series. I really like that we got to see a glimpse of Akane’s family and even though we only got a few panels of Yamada (and I assume his family situation?) definitely left some intriguing elements that I’m excited to see develop in future.
Of course, it ended on a cliffhanger, and I need to immediately pick up the next chapter! All the squeals and all the swoon worthy moments in the volume❤️
The first few chapters here resolve some (though not all) of the drama arising from members of a rival guild. Without getting into spoilers, some aspects of this situation seemed to get wrapped up a bit too neatly and quickly, and other yet-to-be-explored dynamics appear to be postponed as the story moved in other directions in the later chapters. The plot isn’t as much of a concern, though, since a major charm of this manga is in the personalities of Akane and Yamada, where seeing their inner goodness manifest in interactions with each other as well as different people makes it a heart-warming read. It's a quick read with likeable characters and especially top-notch art.
Cute little age gap romance. I forgot what was going on and had to go back and read book 5 cause its been a YEAR since the last one came out. This volume focused more on the romance which was nice cause I am like seeing why they like and appreciate each other. They are so protective of one another, I love it. I just missed our other characters cause it was less focused on the game aspect. Glad the next one isn't coming out in a year. And I hope the author is better soon so we can get some more of these two.
