Carol Duhurst Leonnig is an American investigative journalist and a longtime staff writer for The Washington Post. She was part of a team of national security reporters that won the Pulitzer Prize for Public Service in 2014 for reporting that revealed the NSA's expanded spying on Americans. She later received Pulitzers for National Reporting in 2015 and 2018. She is a member of the '87 class at Bryn Mawr College

The scariest book I have ever read.
I rarely have ever post reviews of books I have not finished. INJUSTICE by Pulitzer Prize winners Carol Leonnig and Aaron C. Davis is too important to wait. The subtitle of the book is “How Politics and Fear Vanquished America’s Justice Department.”
Chapter 11 (of 35 chapters) begins talking about the lead up to January 6, 2021. It provides inside details of the plot leading up to the actions to prevent Joe Biden being able to take office. There were a lot of tips in advance. They were largely ignored.

So depressing! With Trump, it’s a new crime every day, so one often forgets the significance of previous scandals. This book details the work from the FBI and DOJ (and AG Garland’s feet-dragging) that went into the January 6 and classified documents only for Trump and the Republicans to undo everything and rewrite their own version of history once he won reelection.
