While most reincarnated earthlings get to live out awesome isekai fantasies as adventurers who plunder dungeons for fun, fame, and profit, Aine and Nacht drew the short straw and got stuck as the dungeon’s custodial staff instead. It’s a messy job—whether the heroes win or lose, there’s always a pile of corpses that needs tidying up afterward. But if the two are disposing of bodies anyway, then…what’s a few more? Might as well turn the joint into a full-blown death trap and show those friggin’ inconsiderate adventurers what for!

Killed in the real world by a freak accident and reincarnated as janitorial staff in a fantasy dungeon, odd girls Aine and Nacht are sick and tired of cleaning up the messes left by the adventurers who so breezily pass through as they slay and loot. So out of spite, they start thinking of ways to make the dungeon more deadly.

This is some real dark humor with some very macabre twists just casually left lying about as little trauma IEDs to blow up in readers' faces.

The chapters are 8-page, gag-heavy episodes that don't always deal the with full ramifications of their punchlines, but, slowly, recurring side characters begin appearing, developing the mythology and laying the groundwork for a larger story arc tucked between the gory hijinks and bloody pratfalls.

Right now, I'm enjoying the mean-spirited energy of these antiheroes and will be back for more.

Look, sometimes you're just tired and you wanna read something where there's a 50% chance that in two pages time there's going to be a video-game reference or a punchline about semen.

A bit weird/over the top manga about two girls isekai per jet flight engine and end up in a dungeon they have to manage. It had its good moments, I liked the two girls together, and I did like that they were making the dungeon more exciting/more dangerous (they are still resenting the adventurers as they are stuck for always in this dungeon). The art was pretty nice. I liked meeting the monsters.
But it got a bit samey as we went on and at times a bit too far, but the biggest issue I had and a reason why I am not going to continue the series + rated this volume lower is the baby chapter.
I will put it under spoiler tags
so if an otherworld person dies he respawns back at his last sleep point. If a this world person dies he dies. So in this chapter we meet a couple who are from the other world and are adventuring together. As soon as she said she had to tell him something when they woke up I began to doubt. And yep. Because remember what I said about other/this worlders? The baby is a this worlder. A thus the baby is killed and burned and all that. And the woman? She knows. She felt the baby die. She felt the pain. She is now beyond traumatized. I was just going wtf the whole chapter and I wonder what the fuck is wrong with the author. These topics are NOT funny or teehee or whatever.
(3.2) Two antiheroes are reincarnated as janitors in a magical dungeon. To pass the time, they make a pact to help the dungeon eliminate adventurers more efficiently. The tone is mostly lighthearted but occasionally ventures into surprisingly dark territory, with plenty of quirky humor and oddly specific niche interests woven throughout. Overall, it was an entertaining read, but the formula starts to feel repetitive, so I’m not convinced I’ll continue with the rest of the series.

Seeing a dungeon from the point of view of the administrators and janitors. Amusing at times. Surprisingly crude. Fun dungeon dressing options.

Um...no.
This did not ring funny or insightful. It's got a few clever things, but the protagonists are not fun to spend time with. There's one chapter that is downright sad, and a few bits that could have been running gags or at least developed were not.
A helpful guide is included for some references that don't come through in translation.

I thought this was pretty funny and quirky. Definitely different. Curious to see how the next one is.

I was surprised to see this book in the library; I have read some of Dowman Sayman's manga in scanlation before, but hadn't expected to see any of it translated. I remembered liking his work as a bit off-kilter, so decided to read this one. It is a satire of the (in my opinion) incredibly overdone and uninteresting isekai genre of people from our reality dying only to be resurrected as overpowered heroes in a fantasy realm that more often than not has no internal logic, but rather resembles an MMORPG. In this book the characters come back as the janitorial staff of a dungeon, their only advantage the ability to respawn after death. A pair of teenage lowlifes originally, they set about in various schemes to make the dungeon more deadly to make their lives easier.

There's a start of larger plot that could be interesting to see how it plays out, but otherwise I found it just a bit too mean-spirited, and far too embedded in pop-cultural references that are just uninteresting to me. I might pick up the next volume to see how things develop, but otherwise not super invested.

Aine and Nacht, two high-school girls die in a bizarre accident, and get reborn in another world. But not as adventurers, like those who get hit by trucks. They're dungeon cleaners. It's a hazardous job, but they reborn every time they die.

Life of cleaning up the dungeon gets boring though, so they start rigging up the dungeon to truly deadly. And soon they have a famous place in their hands that even the top adventurers flock to.

This was fun, in a grim way. It got a bit monotonous towards the end, and even though the ending was a small cliffhanger, I don't need to read more. Art was interesting and good.

I received a free copy from Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review.

This is a satire on the isekai genre, it's not meant to be serious and yes, it can be disturbing. But it's a satire. On the genre. If you go into it expecting it to be anything else, you will be disappointed and/or disgusted. Compared to other manga/anime I've seen/heard of, this is really tame. I actually enjoyed it for what it is. It's a brainless, chuckle of a read and I do hope to see more of the series and continue the hijinks of these fed-up characters.

I like the art style and I liked Heimlich. Thats pretty much all I like. I don't like the humor, a few of the jokes were repeated a few times too. I don't like the pacing. And I don't like Aine.

DNF. The lighthearted meandering paired with slight info dumping doesn't work for me.

Aine and Nacht, two very careful folks, suddenly find themselves isekai-d, not by Truck-kun, but isekai-d none-the-less. They are not reborn as adventurers but rather lowly dungeon workers forced to clean up the mess left behind by ungrateful, rude adventurers. After one-too-many slights, Aine retools the dungeon with one goal: TPK (total party kill). D&D fans, as well as dungeon masters who wish they could punish uppity players every once in a while, will get a kick out of this manga. Just like a real D&D table, there are plenty of crass jokes and adult situations.
