"You better run like your life depends on it, princess."
She’s been my secret obsession for years.
The pageant princess.
The perfect daughter.
The good girl.
Someone like her isn’t supposed to be with someone like me.
But I see the comments she leaves on my videos and the dark desires she hides.
Blair is begging for the man in the mask, not knowing I’m the guy all her friends hate.
She’s back in town for the weekend, and I can no longer stay away.
For one night, I’ll make her mine.
Beg For It is a short and spicy dark romance novella about a girl who makes a deal to spend the night of Halloween with a masked video game streamer, not knowing he has been obsessed with her for years. Perfect for readers who like questionable uses of switchblades and being chased through corn mazes.
Please check trigger warnings at the beginning of the book before proceeding.
Madison Fox was born and raised in Australia but has been living in the United States for the past decade. While she still watches Australian football every Sunday, she currently lives in Nevada as a cat mum to Zelda (yes, based on the video game).
When Madison isn’t reading or writing a new book, she can be found drowning in one of her other obsessions, such as k-dramas, manga, anime, video games, and espresso martinis.
If only this was longer oh my god. I need this as a novel. I would love to see their love story. Eli’s friends though yes please I need a book on Felix and Bash like ASAP. What a great sexy Halloween novella. I enjoyed this so much and the scenes omg yes.
I love me a masked gamer! Eli is the town pariah, he’s hated by everyone. Blair is the popular girl, she was in pageant’s when she was young. She is back at home for her parents annual Halloween party, but sneaks out to hang out with her friends at a different party. At the party she runs in to Phantom, a super popular masked gamer that she is obsessed with. Little does she know, Phantom and Eli are one in the same. She agrees to be his for one night, and he will help her live out all of her dark fantasies. Please check triggers before going into this. I’m also so mad this just ended with a “The end for now…”, what am I supposed to do with my life now hahahahha. Also I will just mention, this is extremely similar to The Losers duet by Harley Laroux. So if you like that book, you will like this book.
Whew baby this was everything I needed and Eli aka my shaylaaaaaa deserves the world and he better get his girl. That cliffhanger pissed me off, but got me even more excited because I’m ready for the next book!!
This was the first book that I've read from Madison, and I will definitely pick up her full length stories now! She knows how to write tension and banter and can we have a moment for the smut! A really fun way to spend halloween evening.
I only read BEG FOR IT because I loved this author's other series, THE SYSTEM, so take my review with a grain of salt because I don't usually do dark romance. The writing was engaging and good and overall this wasn't bad but it just wasn't for me. Eli was obsessive, possessive, and emotionally attached to his knives while Blair was the perfect good girl princess on the outside but was longing to break free of that (without actually doing much to try). The spice was plentiful and well written and I liked the small moments of humor between Eli and his friends.
But I just can't take it seriously and rather than being all into Eli's darkness and finding it sexy I just found myself laughing at these 20-somethings who think they're hot shit. Between Eli's unhinged, and completely unrealistic behavior and Blair's macho friends trying to act all tough I just couldn't suspend my disbelief. I can't be expected to keep a straight face every time these small town, barely out of college guys say "everybody knows not to mess with me". Sorry for laughing so much at parts that weren't supposed to be funny. And then we got a cliffhanger so there wasn't even any resolution to the relationship.
Content Warning: MMC stalks FMC; questionable knife play; violence and bullying (not between MCs)
honestly this was so fun! it’s a perfect halloween novella. i loved the plot and characters. eli is my fav! i really liked the pacing and how much we got. i do wish it was a full novella or i hope we do get more in the future like it says. the spice was great but not too much. i also enjoyed the drama involved. i’m dying to see how their story ends up! highly recommend!!
i think this has been my favorite novella of 2025. i NEED more of Blair and Eli but I also need a felix and bas book because why is my new favorite line "i told him to take a nap, not meet the reaper" HAHAHAHA
the perfect spicy halloween read that i have been yearning for!! literally had so much fun reading and cannot wait for Blair and Eli’s story to continue. depraved in the best way possible!
I really enjoyed this novella - I wish it was longer so we could get some flash backs and character development, build on the MMC’s yearning a little …? Gave me Haunting/Lights Out/Little Stranger vibes.
I have thoughts, and I have feelings. First off, I will never be able to get into a book about 20 year olds that take themselves this fucking seriously.
“Yeah, right. Only someone with a death wish would think about trying to fuck with us.” - literally cringed so hard I thought I passed out. That was dramatic... but so was this whole fucking book. Every dude is some weird, self absorbed asshole that thinks he IS danger. Please. Spare me.
This plot is done over and over again. Masked man/stalker taunting the good little FMC that has a "darkness inside her" that she's afraid of. Lord have mercy. And then to go so far as to say this idea "came to you in the shower"? Queen. Please. The idea came to you in the form of countless other dark romances, only they were written better.
My final qualms are the grammatical errors & the fact this was a "To be continued..." despite being a novella. The beauty to a novella is that it's short and COMPLETE (my opinion). To me, it feels like the author just wanted to publish what she had instead of developing this into a full length novel and giving us the menty-b and character development we so deserved after sitting through this.
Beg For It is a wild ride, and let’s be clear: this book is NOT for the faint of heart. If you're looking for a complex, multi-layered plot, this won’t be your cup of tea. But if you want unapologetically intense chemistry, some seriously steamy moments, and a dark, addictive romance that leaves you on the edge of your seat, then you’re in for a treat.
Calling this book “spicy” is an understatement. It’s raw, it’s intense, and it’s absolutely relentless. But let’s not sugarcoat things—the darkness in this book is very real. If you’re sensitive to darker subjects or more intense, morally complex relationships, this book may be triggering. So, I highly recommend checking out the trigger warnings before diving in.
The ending leaves you wanting to know what happens next. Will Blair go back to her life as the "pageant princess," or will she get drawn deeper into Eli’s dark world? It’s the kind of story that leaves you needing more, and I’m not mad about it.
This book doesn’t pretend to be anything other than a fiery, passionate story, and if you go in expecting minimal plot but maximum heat, it delivers exactly that.

My literal only complaint is it's not longer. It ended and my little reader heart broke a bit because I wanted so so much more. I loved it all. Eli is super hot and has a switchblade and uses it questionably and not only for its intended purpose, but he also uses it for it's intended purpose and it's as hot as you think it is. Blair is a good girl who just wanted to let go and have fun. Their chemistry is crazy, the sex was crazy good, the setting was also fun - hello? An old farm with corn mazes, string lights, hay stacks and plenty of places to run and hide? AND GET CAUGHT? The side characters (primarily Bash and Felix) were absolute menaces and if I don't get 2 full length novels with them in a continued series I will 100% riot.
