I really loved how colorful the photography was, and how the stories behind the cinema halls were told.
Notes:
1. The demolitions of cinema/movie halls began in the 1990s. In 35 years (1990-2025), India has transitioned from 24,000 single-screen cinemas to barely 4,000. Of all of them, a thousand are either still running, shut, abandoned, or on the brink of being demolished. 2. It is so important to preserve history so that current and future generations can learn from the past and improve their own communities and histories. 3. Right now is a great time to begin a movie collection of your own!
