Life's a Pitch - Rock the Rock

Rate this book
By his own admission, things haven’t gone too easily for Ben Parker of late. However, hopeful of turning his fortunes around at his newest business, the Life’s a Pitch campsite, there was an air of quiet confidence wafting around the campground wherever he stepped. Until, that is, some unexpected news from his ex-wife throws something of a spanner into the works, placing him in a serious financial pickle as a result.

And so, facing the dire prospect of losing the beloved family home that he and his daughter Ruby continued to adore, Ben is forced to team up and trust two former foes that have already tried to bankrupt him once before. Still, with his options severely limited, Ben finds himself, somehow, agreeing to organise and host the Isle of Man’s first country and western music festival, which he’s named Rock the Rock.

With his very future resting on the event’s success, all Ben could do now is hope he wasn’t being taken advantage for a second time and that the good folk of the Isle of Man would don their finest cowboy hats and turn up in their droves. After all, what else could possibly go wrong…?

Not as good as the first but it definitely puts an ending to it and answers a few questions!

3.5 stars. It’s a fun sequel, but also a bit unbelievable. Scores very high on being funny and cute though.
