Certified Pressure 3: An Arranged Marriage, Unhinged

Rate this book
Pressure thought proposing to Kashmere would finally bring him some peace, but the moment Pluto appeared with a positive pregnancy test, his world shattered all over again. He had just eliminated her from his life, and now she is carrying his child.

The news drags him back into memories he has tried to bury. Years ago, he lost a child with Ka’mari, and the pain still sits in his chest like a scar that never healed. He refuses to face that kind of heartbreak again. Pluto’s baby will be the heir to his empire, and he is determined to protect what belongs to him.

But love and loyalty never come easy in Trill-Land. Kashmere is burning with rage, watching her engagement unravel in the shadow of an unborn child. She loves Pressure too much to walk away, yet every day she grows more consumed by jealousy and resentment. Her once bright future now feels like a battle for survival, and she is ready to fight for her place.

Pluto and Kashmere were once inseparable, but those days are gone. One carries his ring, the other carries his legacy. Both want his heart, but only one can claim it.

Pressure is a man built for war, not petty rivalries, but this is a battle he cannot escape. Torn between duty and desire, haunted by his past and trapped in his present, he has to decide who will stand beside him in the future. And when love turns into war, someone will always pay the price.

😒

I promise I really think sis takes pleasure in watching us crash out about this series.
First of all, it’s about time these two finally got it together. Lord they took us through it. Idk which one frustrated me more. Just when I would think Pluto was going to boss up on him completely or just take her man back…NOPE! Sis would get in her own way. Pressure, Pressure, Pressure whew Lawd. Sir, for a man that knows so much, is confident, went to therapy you still couldn’t just BOSS up before letting the situation go completely off the rails. I’m telling you a lot of the drama was caused by his actions or lack thereafter. I can’t wait to see how this ends. Kashmere, girl 😒😒😒 I have so many thoughts but I’ll keep them to myself.

Pressure Pressure Pressure

One of the worse men I have read about and he deserves what happened to him at the end. Playing around with people hearts just cause he’s hurting. All this drama back and forth anybody with eyes can see Kashmere is crazy and once the mom tried to make a pass at him he shoulda known it wouldn’t work out. SMH

About damn time Pressure & Pluto even though I don’t think it would have happened if her water didn’t break !!! && Pressure . Pressure. Pressure you definitely played both sides wayyyyy too long it was crazy !

&& KASH I knew from book 1-2 that you needed serious help I just knew you were gonna spiral out of control between everything happening and your stupid ass momma !

1st things 1st Mz. Author lady, you’re stressing me out with these cliffhangers. Since book one I thought this was a one and done but nope you stress me out so bad I went to the end of the book to only see to be continued once again. I’m locked in and sticking beside you because my blood pressure will not be up like this, and I don’t know the outcome. Pressure was taking too damn long for my liking. His momma Anbeni and everyone one knows about him living two different lives and celebrating two different things. This cliffhanger I seen coming but baby the stress and scene that unfolds was too much. Kashmere, I knew was going to do something. Anbeni not liking her and her own family drama was eating her alive and then her two test and both times not getting the outcome she wanted was clear where this was going. Let’s see how Toni Roc can help her friend see this clearly because she most not have picked up on the pull pressure and Pluto had while living in the house. It was not Pluto’s fault that it happened when it did but I’m glad that Zurie and Anbeni were gone when it unfolded. Pluto was trying to be strong and let that man live and figure it out. Both knew that they wanted more and needed more. Pluto got on my nerves in book two but this time around she was literally just going to be the baby momma and take care of her sister. Pluto was literally finally overcoming all that she went through to get her and all for taking care and worrying about a sister that meant more to her than her own happiness. Pressure had her back no matter what he just wouldn’t let his pride aside and say what drunk pressure needed to say after going to the 1st therapy meeting or the 1st doctor’s appointment. Now with all of that being said and we wait for book 4 please don’t have us waiting too long sis we need to know what is about to happen and see if Kashmere get away with it and how Anbeni and Pressure move once everything comes to light. Does she even make it off the island?

Just finished Certified Pressure 3 and when I say I am LOST for words… I am! My whole heart just dropped! This book was EVERYTHING—an absolute page-turner that I devoured in a day!

Oma… his mama… you have a special place in my heart. I love you DOWN! You kept it real with no chaser, PERIOD.

All throughout the book I was on edge, pissed at Pressure for not realizing he was scared and that he was always supposed to be with Pluto. And Kashmere? Oh I hate her with my whole heart. She KNEW that man was in love with somebody else and still kept pushing. I’m glad Pressure finally woke up, stood in his truth, and went where his heart always was. Kashmere just couldn’t take her L like a grown woman and move on.

I’m so glad I found this series late because babyyyy, Certified Pressure 4 just dropped today, so I don’t have to sit and wonder. But for everybody who had to wait? I am so sorry for y’all!

I know he’s dead… I can feel it. He got shot way too many times. And honestly? I’m scared to even open the next book. But Sha Jones? YOU DID THAT. A solid FIVE-STAR read, point blank.

SJ your writing is too good..

The growth from book one to three is so prominent. Pluto dropped a bomb and had to come to her true feelings. Pressure had some serious thinking to do. Kashmere tried to hard keep up appearances and knew the truth from the beginning. Her own mother in her way warned her. She was forcing something that ran its course. The wedding was a huge show put on by Kashmere and Pressure faced so many emotions in this book and learned from it. Pluto did some growing herself.

Wow!!

I love this series so much. They way the character development was written it did not leave you guessing about how they felt. Im so happy the Pluto had a healthy delivery. When I say she deserves so much, I love her and Zuri. Let's not mention the relationship Zuri and Pressure have it is so cute and loving. Can't wait til the next part. The whole series is different and fire!!

He deserved it

From the start until now he played in all of their faces and I hate that Kashmere and Pluto let him come between their sisterhood. I also hate that they did not love themselves enough to just leave instead of thirsting and chasing after a man who went after anything pretty. I felt like there’s so much more that this author could’ve done with this book it’s truly just giving pick me.

WE GOT ACTION 🔥🔥

WHEW!!! Book 3 did not disappoint at all! We’re back in the chaos of Pressure, Pluto, and Kash and the drama is on a whole new level. Pressure really had the audacity to propose to Kash, and before we can even process that, Pluto drops a bomb that she’s pregnant!

In this book, Pressure is trying to juggle being a present soon to be father while still being in love with Pluto, the same Pluto who is not having it because this man chose to marry her ex–best friend! The nerve!

Throughout the story, we get flashbacks that help us understand why Pressure, Pluto, and even Kash are the way they are, and it makes you feel for every single one of them (well not Kash 🙄) Never felt 💩 for her sorry not sorry!

Y’all know I’ve been rooting for a HEA, and I really thought Pluto was finally about to get hers… but clearly, we don’t always get what we want. Just when things started to look up BOOM …we’re hit with the biggest tragedy of the entire series. I’m shocked, I’m devastated, and I’m screaming because I know all hell is about to break loose after this. (I’ve literally been begging Sha in her inbox)

One thing’s for sure never bet against the Mensahs. Time to go to WAR!!

Certified High Blood Pressure picks up with the Kashmere having a temper tantrum about Pluto's pregnancy. It really focuses on Pressure's internal struggles with his love for Pluto and his engagement to Kashmere. He is torn between the two in many ways but still having an overgrown tantrum about Pluto not moving when he says to. He has little to no enthusiasm regarding this wedding to the point that he delays telling his parents for as long as possible. What stood out to me was that Kashmere travelled solo to tell her parents about the engagement. She was angry with Pressure for doing the same thing. Pressure's parents are not impressed or happy about his engagement. His mother boldly explains this to Kashmere during a one-on-one that Kashmere impulsively pursues after Abeni announces that she is about to become a grandmother. Abeni is messy asf and I love her. She never says who is pregnant, so everyone congratulates Kashmere.

Overall, this was the best book of the series in my opinion. I had my frustrations with Pluto, but overall, I understand her. She has been in survival mode for so long that she had to have time to get herself into a place where she can make decisions that involve the future and just not day to day. She is very independent, which she has needed to be. In my opinion Pressure offered little as far as solutions even once her knew her situation. He doesn't try to proactively solve her problems like a leader. He channels his frustrations about Pluto into a sense of commitment to Kashmere. Kashmere is just happy that Pluto was gone so that she could get closer to Pressure. Kashmere is aware that Pressure's feelings for her do not compare to those he has for Pluto.

I was so relieved when FINALLY, after approximately 1000 pages, Pressure finally applies some real pressure and leaves Kashmere at the alter to get to Pluto!!!! Abeni is right there to support her son. I feel like Kashmere shooting Pressure was a good cliff hanger. He definitely led her on.

I really appreciated Kay'Lo and his loyalty to Toni in this book. From day one when she left the house, he was in pursuit of her faults and all. Kay'Lo's name should've been Pressure. He's more emotionally intelligent and will pursue what he wants.

Listen… at this point I’ve accepted that this whole series is built on back-and-forth. It’s the unofficial sixth character. It’s basically a cast member. But here we are, still flipping pages like we’re not stressed.

Now Kashmere… girl, come sit by me because we need to talk.

I understand her feelings. I do. But I could not wrap my mind around the logic gymnastics she was doing. How do you spend half the book insisting a man “doesn’t care,” while that same man is out here bending over backwards, sideways, and diagonally to prove that he DOES?

But the SECOND Pluto’s name pops up? Suddenly everything means nothing?

Like ma’am… are we emotionally processing or are we just free-falling? Because it was giving:
“I’m pushing you away, but HOW DARE YOU feel pushed away????”

The math wasn’t mathing.

Pluto, my lil problematic star planet… she still irritated me, but she was MUCH better this round. She actually spoke more than three syllables at a time, and I appreciate that growth. She still needs to communicate like an adult with WiFi, but progress is progress.

The DRAMA?
Still dramatic-ing.
The back-and-forth?
Still back-and-forthing.
My blood pressure?
Still elevated.

But honestly? It was good. I was entertained, invested, and silently yelling at these characters like it’s Sunday night reality TV. And yes, I’m absolutely starting book four because at this point I’m too deep in the trenches to leave.

Bring on the chaos. 📚🔥😂

When Reality Sets In

AMAZING!!!…This book was meant to stress you out, all while taking you on a journey from the past to the current situation!!!…This book was written so well, and the conversations are sure to continue until the next book drops!!!…
Pluto will always be that kindred spirit and with everything she endured and accepted, she still stood on principle and fought for those that couldn’t fight for themselves, even if it meant sacrificing herself!!!…Then the reality that Pressure had her back!!!…
Crashmere personality is one for the books and the reactions that you experienced will sit with you!!!…
I was prepared to be upset, but shocked at the tears I couldn’t avoid!!!…
Therapy definitely helped Pressure understand that it was okay to keep something in his cup and not feel guilty about not continuing to pour into other’s cup!!!…
That heart to heart talk btwn Pluto and Pressure was needed and the segg scene was beautiful!!!…
Abeni is about to tear some shattt up because she told Crashmere to walk away and not put herself through what comes with the legacy coming together with Baby Mensah!!!…
Crashmere knows she is not about to make it off that island and I can’t wait to see what awaits her!!!…

Now why her damn dream come true ! I feel for kash but the barest empathy ok! And I kinda seen theirs playing out . I was mad at you at first girl for doing Pluto like that but they way you ended this book !!! I was hear for it because I know my man ain’t gone lmao ! His ass should’ve put her crazy ass in a psych ward and go get his damn family in order! I fucks with mama ok ! She stood on her shit ! And the dad knew from the beginning his son heart belonged to Pluto ! Kash daddy ain’t shit and pressure became that same man to her playing both sides . I understand wanting to keep the peace but he was being bold and straightforward in the beginning he should’ve kept it a buck and moved on . I feel like if he would’ve did it sooner he wouldn’t have felt so guilty ! But I loved it either way ok ! You did that mama ! 🤌🏾🤌🏾

Wow!!

The mess is real!! I'm glad everything worked out with Pluto and her little sister and she made the decision to move forward and live closer so Pressure and his family can be there for her and the baby! Kash, smh she's a walking time bomb and was already showing Pressure that she doesn't like not getting her way. Now she knows Pluto is closer she thinks she had to rush everything with the wedding and prove that she won but it was pointless. Pressure's family is very supportive and his mom didn't hold anything back when it came to anyone especially her dislike for Kash staying with Pressure as he had a baby on the way with Pluto. That entire wedding was crazy and I'm glad Pressure came to his senses before it was too late but now Kash had really snapped and who knows what will happen with her but I hope Pressure gets help fast! Can't wait to see what unfolds next.

The Fire Continues!

This series is an arranged marriage of a different kind!! The series had been a drama-filled, spicy page turner from the very beginning, leaving me wanting more. I LOVE Abeni Mensah! She doesn’t mince words and stands on what she believes is right for her son and family without being overbearing. She and Kay-lo were my favorites in this installment.

Pressure definitely underestimated Kashmere’s mental health instability. Something I’m sure his parents would have warned him about, had they known.

I can’t wait for part IV and beyond to see what’s next in Trill Land!

Will Pressure and Pluto ever get their happy ending?

Was the ending all a bad dream?

Thanks for the ride, Sha Jones! I’m hooked!

Pluto’s Pain, Pressure’s Pride

Whew—going into part 3, my chest was hurting for Pluto. I just knew Pressure was gonna take that proposal back from Kashmere, but nope… didn’t happen. Seeing Kay-Lo and Toni pop back up was a nice touch, but I couldn’t stop thinking about that moment early on when Pressure said Kashmere would be perfect for Renza—like, why that still haunting me?!

Abeni was everything in this part. She stepped all the way into her mama-bear era and didn’t sugarcoat a thing—and I was absolutely here for it. That ending though? Yeah, it got me in a chokehold. I’m anxious to see how it all plays out, because just when I thought we were wrapping this story up… boom—there’s a part 4. So it better be epic, because the tension is at an all-time high.

Omg

Why!!!! Why??? I literally was up all night no sleep went to work came home and dived back in to the series only to be left with that cliff hanger!!!!! Literally Pressure!!! Low key not gonna lie Pressure and Pluto was starting to piss me off! So many communication blocks due to ego, pride, fear all of the above I was screaming at them to get their shit together lol! I felt so bad for Kashmere! I get it she just wanted to be loved , but baby girl read the room! Its like she was not seeing the signs! I don't know what I'm gonna do til part 4 comes out but baby Pressure better come back strong or I'm crashing out!!! Certified banger! Recommended 5 stars!

Wow! Just when you think the happy ending is near, here comes heartbreak to rear its head for revenge. I’m glad Pressure finally realized where he needed to be. The way he and Pluto went back and forth could give you whiplash. Mama Abeni is a whole trip, true mama. I feel for Kashmere for staying in a loveless situation due to her prior lack of love and despair and I was distraught she took things to the extreme with her life and then with jeopardizing someone else’s. I’m glad that Pressure made it to see his son born, now i pray he makes it out of this life altering incident to raise him and love on the family he finally realizes he needs.

Goodread

Wow just wowwwwwwww. I'm not saying Pressure deserved to get shot but he should've been said something and not waited to thier wedd8ng day to end things. I knew Kashmere wasn't right in the head, she only loved Pressure so much to prove a point. That darn Omá is something else. She speaks her mind and don't care for nobody feelings. I don't care what nobody say I agreed with all of Pluto's decision because she wasn't just thinking about herself, she had Zurie to think about as well. All in all I pray Pressure pulls through and I can only imagine what's going to happen to Kashmere.

Pressure drove me crazy—in a good way and a frustrating way. I understand why Kashmere was there, and I also get why Pluto wasn’t making things easy, but dang! Pluto was fighting for her sister, and I really admire how nothing could get in the way of that. Kashmere, on the other hand, has that “pick me” mentality that clearly came from her messed-up mother. I actually feel bad for her, but still—this just wasn’t her happily ever after, no matter how badly she wanted to rub it in her ex-best friend’s face.

OMG what the hell what tangle webb

Kashmere is a women scorn she has been thru a lot with Pressure I get why she snapped he did string along because of loyalty and loved her. But deep down inside she knew Pressure was in love with Pluto. Kashmere jealousy and feeling entitlement and pain and her Mother rejection and self-doubt. Pluto water broke and Pressure leaves Kashmere at the altar and tell her he is love with Pluto. The sweetest revenge she shots Pressure and leave him for dead in the hospital parking lot after he son to get Pluto something to eat.

I’m team Pluto all day every day but just like everyone in this book she got cussed out too (besides Momma M I rocks with her hard) now I’m cussing myself out because I read this too fast and now I’m like how long do I need to wait for 4? Pressure!!!!!

Okay now I hope we get this resolved in book 4 because I knew the ending I wanted but now for the events to turn like this!

Kas we already knew she wasn’t stable and out for herself she’s too obsessed.
Pressure had to live for him and the moment he did … POW! Seriously, it’s a way you handle things but I’m curious to see what Abeni is going to do about her baby boy!!!

Captivating, this is a must read series!

Love is a tricky thing especially when more than one person's are involved. Love can build you up or tear you apart forcing you to do the unimaginable. But then I ponder? Is it really love or lust and a strong attraction to material things and one upping those around you. Parts one and two were pressure for sure but three lives up to the title "CERTIFIED PRESSURE"!

Speechless and Impatient

Waited for the third installment and it didn’t disappoint. The entire series isn’t just a good read it’s a great read. My husband isn’t an avid reader but I started reading this story to him and he’s more invested in the story than I thought he would be. The Fourth installment is what we are waiting for now impatiently and enthusiastically. Sha Jones is a great author and a great literary treasure.
