A Powerful Faith-Stretching Story
Tracey Hagman understands parents who have vulnerable children because of the Hagman’s son, Simon. GO FIND THE HIDDEN CHILDREN: ONE FAMILY’S MISSION TO RESCUE KENYA’S MOST VULNERABLE is a moving story. The beginning tells the birth of Tracey and Eric’s second son, Simon. The doctors told the Hagmans that Simon’s chances of living were small. Instead of crumbling, Tracey mobilized a team of people to pray. As a couple, Tracey and Eric believed the Bible and trusted Simon into the capable hands of God. They witnessed God’s miracle, and Simon continues to thrive with the Hagmans in Kenya.
As you read this story, it will encourage your own faith to stretch and grow. Called to Africa, Tracey and Eric learned the Kenyans hid their disabled children inside their homes. The Hagmans started a ministry to these parents and children. Their ministry is changing the culture. I highly recommend this book.

To read how this organization was started, to see the beginning stages of this vision was heartwarming. Serving on this campus twice a week, I am now able to better understand how God literally knitted every single piece of this puzzle together. I have a personal connection to this story and have even told a condensed version to many people that have visited me in Kenya. For most of our visitors, Heshima is our first stop the day after they land because we want them to see the amazing work God is doing on this campus. I first visited Kenya 11 years ago, and eventually moved here because I wanted to be a part of the story God was writing in the lives of children with special needs. I never imagined being a small part of this place called Hehsima when I first moved here, but God always has plans bigger than we can imagine. Heshima holds a very special place in my heart and I am so excited to see this book in print so this story can touch even more lives and more people will see how our God can do big things when we take even the smallest step of faith. Such a beautiful story of a faithful family. Humor and hardship woven through each chapter. Very honoring to God, the people of Heshima, all those that need to be reminded that they have dignity.
