Binge: The Flower City Series, Book Four

Rate this book
One taste is all it takes.

It was love at first sight for Gino.
When he first laid eyes on the feisty, full-figured Sophie five years ago, he knew he had to have her.
He pursued her, wooed her, they fell in love and he forever changed her – and then he left her.
Devastated by his unexplained departure, it took Sophie many men and bad decisions to get over Gino and build a solid relationship with a stand-up guy. So when Gino comes back into her life in an unexpected way, it turns her world upside down.
And his.
Determined to get a second chance with Sophie, Gino won’t back down until he can explain why he had to leave, how he never wanted to, what she means to him – and that he’s never stopped loving her.
When the timing is finally right can the two make their relationship work, or will they forever be starved for one another?

Binge is book four of the interconnected Flower City Series but can absolutely be read as a standalone.

With each story, I strive to build a world for readers where they can escape. I aim to immerse readers in the lives of my characters. I want them to experience the same sights and sounds and, of course, all the feels. I seek to develop characters that are complex, flawed and, most importantly, real.

And I want them to be so relatable that readers have the characters, and their stories, on their minds long after they have closed their books (or shut off their devices).

But telling a compelling story doesn’t happen in 100 pages. So, if you prefer a quick read, I’m probably not the author for you. I don’t write to market, or “by the book.” (See what I did there?) I don’t follow the rules of hitting certain plot points at certain page numbers throughout the book. Rather, I prefer to steer away from the predictable formula.

Does it always work? You tell me.

I’m a stickler for story development. I want my readers to fall in love with the side characters just as much as the main ones. I want them to be able to close their eyes and envision the time and space the character is in. I want them so vested in the story that when the stakes are high, my readers are physically uncomfortable until they reach the resolution.

As a friend has told me, I like to be devastated.

And I want you to be, too.

So, if you enjoy thought-provoking stories that push boundaries and are sometimes messy, and – hopefully – often humorous, give me a shot.

ARC Review:
Binge is a delicious blend of romance, drama, and just the right hint of spice, the kind that keeps your heart racing and your eyes glued to the page. Holly Crocco sets up a storyline that feels familiar at first, only to twist it into something far more addictive and emotionally charged. You think you know where the relationships are headed… until you absolutely don’t.

The chemistry between the characters is undeniable. Their quick wit and flirtatious one-liners spark off the page, giving every interaction a tension that feels playful one moment and downright heated the next. Crocco balances the humor with the drama effortlessly, one minute you’re laughing, and the next you’re clutching the book because the emotional stakes just spiked.
What makes Binge special is the way it dips back into earlier moments in the story, reminding you of lingering looks, unresolved tension, and little sparks that slowly build into something hotter, all without ever feeling repetitive. The emotional depth runs right alongside the romantic pull, creating a story that’s as heartfelt as it is compelling.

And yes… the spice is there. Not over the top, but perfectly placed—those scenes hit with just enough heat to make you blush and just enough restraint to leave you wanting more.

Engaging, unpredictable, emotional, and undeniably steamy, Binge is the kind of romance-drama read you inhale in one sitting. Holly Crocco delivers a binge-worthy story with characters who burn, break, and capture your heart.

A sweet second chance that finally gives Sophie and Gino their moment after teasing us since 'Run.' And trust me, these two made every page worth the wait 🖤

Sophie's a big girl with all the sass, and Gino? Completely obsessed with her. Their story starts off cute and soft - how they meet, how they fall and just when I thought I knew where it was going, a twist hits halfway through and changed everything 💔

A 5☆ read. We all want that one man who’s stupidly, wildly, deliciously obsessed with us. You know… the one who looks at you like you're his entire galaxy 🌌

I was pretty excited when I found out this book was about Sofie because she is my favorite side character in the series. I could relate to her on so many levels. I swear every book in this series just gets better and better! My emotions were all over this place with this one, I laughed so much but I cried a few times too. What a wonderful roller-coaster but so worth the ride! 5/5 stars

This was fast paced and super quick to read. Gino was obsessed with Sophie and I love the body positivity. I also really liked the way the author weaved the flashbacks of their past into the present timeline- it was just enough to understand their relationship and how it impacted the present. The angst and tension was so good.

I LOVE Sophie and I’m so glad she had her chance to shine in Binge! This book is the perfect way to wrap up an excellent series. Once again Holly Crocco makes you feel all the feels, putting the Flower City Series on top of my list of all time favorite book series.
