I have been writing stories as long as I can remember. I am an author with Blushing Books. I enjoy writing both contemporary erotica as well as historical books set in ages past. I love developing characters that are able to tell their own stories. My heroines are multi-faceted women who are strong, intelligent and capable in their own right but find a deep need to share their lives with those strong, sexy and dominant alpha males that capture their hearts. My heros recognize the gift of submission for the gift it is, loving and protecting the women that offer that gift. I enjoy sweet, romantic stories with just a taste of domestic discipline as well as one that explore the harsher D/S lifestyle. I also enjoy writing age-play stories set both in Victorian era where women didn't have a great deal of power in their lives as well as in today's present time where women still find their happiness is greatly enhanced in offering the gift of submission. My hope is that you settle back in your favorite chair and allow my books to entertain you and let you escape into another world.

What an incredibly moving story! My emotions are all over the place. I love the Rawhide Ranch series and this one is certainly ingrained in my heart. Nigel and Hazel are a couple navigating the D/s dynamic, but there is something that Hazel is holding back on. Nigel has all the patience in the world for Hazel and will do anything for her. Hazel is a young woman, training to be a nurse, but something from her past is holding her back from fully engaging in a relationship with Nigel, even though she cares for him deeply. This story takes you on their journey. I laughed, I cried and I hoped these two could get through it. The care and love these two have for each other melted my heart. And their chemistry is smoking hot! A definite must read, but have a few tissues nearby, and you will love this story as much as I did!
This book is a return to what I expect from a Rawhide Ranch book. A great story with amazing characters, a meaningful connection to the ranch, cameos from Rawhide characters I love, and the camaraderie and family of rawhide ranch characters. Hazel and Nigel are attracted to each other, start a relationship but have a BIG issue with communication, IMO. Hazel believes she can hide her past, that it doesn't matter. But of course, in a D/s relationship, trust and truth is important and lies, even those of omission are problematic. I love how the RR characters all worked with our MCs to come to a satisfying HEA after a lot of angst and some nail biting anxiety ridden scenes. I loved it all.
A deeply heartfelt read, wonderfully written a great plot and characters you will feel a real heart to heart for This was a simply wonderful read that I was held totally captivated by and I really love all the books I have read within the Submissives Of Rawhide Ranch I cannot recommend this book to other readers enough, I guarantee that once you begin reading you will not put it down until the very final page. Hazel has had a traumatic experience and has come to Rawhide Ranch and this has caused some interfering with her relationship to her other half Dr Nigel Berringer. Hazel has found it extremely difficult to express the pain that has been in her life and Nigel has felt as though he has not been able to help her and this pains him greatly. She has worked at sharing her experiences and this has enabled hr to gather herself together once again and she has been far happier in herself and she believes that they will be able to continue with their relationship. This is a honest and heartfelt story and I am sure that other readers will enjoy this story greatly. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.
This was not what I personally was expecting I found it in my opinion pulled at a lot of emotions. I been looking forward and wanting to knowing these characters stories since I read the box set a little magic the author did a fantastic job. I love Hazel strength level she is an incredible person the main guy character is so patient and gives off never giving up vibes! Both of which makes them amazing characters and perfect for what they each need. I was really shocked with some of what happened throughout the book my heart was beating probably to fast according to my Apple Watch lol. I’m so happy with the outcome of this intense but so worth the emotional headache it give me! I get to invested in rawhide ranch characters I guess but that’s one of many reasons/ ways you know it’s a awesome book with very talented writers:) definitely recommend reading this it’s a quick read with some funny moments including the famous Sadie and some nice steamy scenes. Plus a lot growth and learning to trust in depth in my opinion. This book is a case of you can run but you can’t hide, especially when you are very attracted to someone but also trying to hide from the traumatic experience that brought you to the Ranch in the first place. Hazel is not a Little but rather a submissive who is working at the clinic at the Ranch while studying to become a nurse. She is very attracted to the British doctor Nigel who has moved there to be the doctor to all the mothers-to-be. Nigel a dominant is very attracted to Hazel as well, but a lack of communication has stalled their relationship. For Hazel, it is easier to run that face her past, but Nigel needs to know what is going on if there is any chance of moving their relationship forward. Of course, to do that he will first need to catch her. But with the love of a good man and many, many friends, can Hazel find the courage to face her past? This an emotional journey of courage and love. A great addition to this series.
The Rawhide Ranch series is more of a world, written by different authors but set in the same location. This author has written a few prior books within this world- and pretty much has her own story arc within the world. It is not necessary to read the prior books to follow this one but might pique your interest in looking them up.
The 2 main characters, Nigel and Hazel, were introduced in a prior book and plenty of the Ranch residents appear from the beginning to the end. It does take a few chapters to get to the heart of the story, but the background helps to set the scene. All in all, one of the best of the Submissives of the Ranch series I have read (and while it does help to have read and be familiar with Rawhide Ranch, it is easy to follow the story of this is the first you have read).
I truly enjoy the books Maggie writes and this one was a good read. I did feel that there were some sections of the book that could have benefited from more detail to help explain the scene. When Hazel and Nigel both end up at the hospital, I found it a bit of a head scratch as to why they both were 60 miles from the Ranch. I got past it but still wish there hd been more detail. Hazel has had a traumatic experience with a Dom in the past and this has affected her tremendously. She seems stuck in her pain and not able to talk about it in order to heal and move on. Nigel wants so much to help her but she won't open up. Her response is to run. This is their story of how Hazel can learn to trust and Nigel's desire to find a way to heal her heart. It is sad at times, you'll feel anger but they find their way home and a place in each other's heart.
Healing Hazel is a poignant exploration of vulnerability, love, and self-acceptance. The story centers on Hazel, who grapples with her feelings of inadequacy in her relationship with Dr. Nigel Berringer. The tension between her desire to please him and her fear of not being enough drives the narrative forward, creating an emotional rollercoaster.
Maggie Ryan masterfully delves into the complexities of power dynamics in relationships. Hazel’s journey towards self-discovery and healing is both relatable and inspiring. Maggie skillfully weaves themes of trust, intimacy, and the importance of embracing one’s full self, imperfections and all.
Nigel emerges as a compassionate figure, challenging Hazel to confront her fears and insecurities. Their interactions are charged with both intensity and tenderness, highlighting the dual nature of love—both uplifting and painful.
Healing Hazel is a beautifully written romance that invites readers to reflect on their own struggles with self-worth and the transformative power of unconditional love. It’s a heartfelt read for anyone who appreciates stories of growth and resilience. I highly recommend this book.
Hazel and Nigel are struggling to reach their full potential. Nigel knows something is holding Hazel back from being the submissive she can be. Hazel can’t believe that Nigel truly wants her and with a terrible experience in her background can she let go and trust him.
This is a fabulous submissive of rawhide book that tackles plenty of gritty issues. It ends with a happy ending and seeing Hazel blossom under Nigel is truly beautiful.
The story is face paced and I read it in one sitting as you can’t help but be drawn in by the emotive characters. You are rooting for them throughout. I wasn’t keen on the first chapter when he was running but after that it really is a brilliant book and well worth reading
I loved this addition to the Submissives of Rawhide Ranch series. A beautiful story lovingly told. Hazel adores Nigel. But Nigel is a daddy and thinks she's little. Our so she assumes. How they met, at a tea party leads her to believe this. How can she be something she isn't. Nigel knows Hazel is holding back. Something in her past won't let her fly. He is going to do everything he can to support her and let her be free. I loved this story, the characters are lovingly written with great care and attention to detail. The wider Rawhide family are in full support and the cast are brilliant. I loved this story, the compassion to the harsh details and pain are tenderly told. I highly recommend this book, series and author.
What an absolutely beautiful story. Hazel Waltman had a traumatic experience before she came to the Rawhide Ranch and this was interfering with her relationship with Dr Nigel Berringer. At times it was difficult for Hazel to communicate what was going on in her life, and Nigel struggled to tell Hazel what he wanted. When Hazel shared her experience with her friends and her partner, Nigel. She was able to heal the way she needed to, and they were able to work through it together. It was touching moment when Mira was having her baby, but in the end they all had a HEA.
I was given an advanced copy of this book to read and I am reviewing with my honest and fair opinion.
Healing Hazel is part of the multi-author Submissives of Rawhide Ranch series, but can easily be read and enjoyed as a standalone. Hazel and Nigel's story starts with them already being a couple, so we never get to see the initial chemistry and attraction - a pity in my opinion. Still, there is plenty of angst and some very traumatic events to work through and get over. I loved the intervention of their friends and the desire on the MMCs parts to make it through. Finally, there's not just one, but actually two HEAs to make this a truly uplifting story! I was fortunate to have received an early copy and am leaving this review voluntarily and honestly.
It did my heart good to tag along with this couple as they sorted out their baggage and eventually reached their HEA.
Hazel radiates pain, carried over from the past, blocking any meaningful dynamic relationship.
Misconceptions create a divide in their relationship, however, as Hazel and Nigel's dynamic progress open and honest communication pave the way for a solid foundation of trust.
Nigel is a wonderful patient Dom, understanding the depth of Hazel's turmoil willing to wait as Hazel processes her journey.
I really love how much hope was woven into this story.
I liked this new Submissives of Rawhide Ranch by Maggie Ryan. I would recommend that you read the trigger warnings and take them seriously. Nigel and Hazel were tiptoeing around one another, rather than just coming out and saying what they wanted. It just goes to show that even within the BDSM community, people get caught up in their own heads. I could sense the attraction between Nigel and Hazel, and when Hazel finally shared her story, a few tears fell from my eyes. This is a good story, and I recommend it.
I liked that Hazel and Nigel already have a relationship but they are both missing something and both were afraid to take that step. I felt for Hazel that she thought Nigel wasn't going to want her if she wasn't a certain way but I loved them navigating their changing relationship. I'm glad she was able to heal from the past and move forward with Nigel. They were both people that I enjoyed reading about and wanted them to have their hea. I enjoyed my visit back to Rawhide Ranch.
I read an ARC and am leaving my honest and voluntary review.
This story is a journey of healing, learning to grow together, and of course love. I always relate to the characters who have past trauma and Hazel is one of them. Because of past abuse, she struggles with insecurities that keep her from fully giving herself over to Nigel. Nigel wants more with Hazel. He wants to help her heal and grow together as a couple. Wanting to be there for her is great to see not just in a Dom but in a partner as well. It'll take a bit of communicating but once Hazel realizes Nigel wants every messy part of her their relationship can finally start to grow.
Nigel and Hazel story was intense and emotional as in the beginning bad experiences intensified insecurities, misunderstandings and miscommunication that caused distress and heartache. Determination, love, reassurance, communication and good friends helped in cementing their trust, feelings, and self-worth. The holiday magic brings a new life in their fold, after a harrowing event that was thwarted by professionalism and precision.
Becoming One Rawhide Ranch may be where people live and work but it’s also where a Family resides! Nigel has come from the UK to work with his brother but he never expected to be gobsmacked by a student named Hazel. Learning to deal with past trauma as well as moving forward is becoming a little bit less of a daunting task when surrounded by those that love and respect her as Hazel is learning. Can she find herself again? Will she gain the hope and support that she needs?
I enjoyed all the stories in this series and this one is very beautiful. Nigel is loving and devoted to Hazel and would do everything to support her. Hazel has had a very precarious journey to Rawhide and is learning to trust herself and thoes around her. All the characters are real and alive. It is a story that the reader will laugh and cry with. I received an advanced reader copy of this book and am leaving an honest review. This is an emotional and sexy story.
The first half of this story is a testament to how crucial communication is in a relationship. While Nigel did not think Hazel was a Little, she believed he did because they never had that conversation. I am sure his nickname for her did not help matters either. But, things naturally got smoother when they got on the same page, and the ranch family did the usual -- stepped in where needed to make sure the couple got their HEA.
In depth but concise look into what can go wrong in the lifestyle while also providing what one needs to know to facilitate healing. Also applies to life in general, for that matter. We all need healing in one way or another. And we all need family, whether blood or found or both.
I really enjoyed the latest book in the Submissives of Rawhide Ranch series. Loved the characters of Nigel and Hazel and the way they were written. It was a great read and was my first time reading this author. If you have triggers, make sure to check out the warnings.
I loved this story! Hazel was so strong and she didn't even realize it. She was able to heal with the help of her chosen family. Nigel was amazing and so patient, caring, and understanding. I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Hazel isn’t a little, but a woman stuck in past trauma. She mistakenly thinks Nigel wants someone who isn’t her. This is a moving story about facing your past with people who love and support you.
Nigel and Hazel how to relationship but didn’t know how to make this relationship grow. Hazel had her own demons to deal with, That was from her past and it was hindering her relationship with Nigel. But that’s for the Rawhide Ranch family comes in and helped them both find the happily ever after.
I truly enjoyed this story. Nigel is so loving and caring for Hazel. Hazel has a wonderful heart but holds back because of trauma that happened with another Dom. Reading this story will have you giggling, crying and cheering them on. It's a beautiful healing journey. And I love how supportive everyone is at Rawhide Ranch. Maggie is a wonderful author and I look forward to reading more of her books. They are beautifully written. All the characters are perfect. I highly recommend this book.
I enjoyed the story because it speaks of hope and healing and having someone there to help you through the journey. Hazel needs to heal but from a trauma of an abusive Dom, but will she allow Nigel to help her through this journey. This was well written and it tugs at your emotion but well worth reading.
